Next stop of the Wild West road trip is Coeur d'Alene, Idaho! We arrive and valet park at the Coeur d'Alene Resort at 2pm. With a check-in time of 4pm, we head straight for the Terrace Bar and sample the cocktails until our reservation is ready. We do a full room tour of our Lake View Resort Room with Fireplace and quickly get ready for a cruise on the lake. We head to the marina and board the guided Coeur d'Alene Lake Cruise for a 90 minute, cocktail, beer, and hotdog fueled boat tour. Next we take a walk down Sherman Avenue and find ourselves sampling local ciders at Coeur d'Alene Cider Company. We continue down Sherman to Moon Time for a bite to eat and have one of the best meals of the trip. After dinner we swan around the town and check out some live music in front of the Coeur d'Alene Rotary Centennial Park. We head into The Crown & Thistle Pub for darts and a few pints and end the night back at the Coeur d'Alene Resort. Early next morning, we sample the famous Hudson's Hamburgers before heading to Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters for some coffee and hand pies. We then walk to the Coeur d'Alene Marina and ride the Golf Course Shuttle to the Coeur d'Alene Golf Course. We check out the private beach, Infinity Pool, Pro Shop and floating 14th green. Leaving Coeur d'Alene behind, we’re off to Montana! See you on the road.

CDA is my home town. I used to play on Tubbs Hill & swim at City Beach. It has changed so much & turned into a first class destination. Glad you were able to visit.
Same. I was all over Tubb's Hill in the late 60s/early 70s. CDA was a great place to be a kid back then.

As a long Time resident I remember when they built that and the boardwalk. Plus ask any resident and at one point we have worked there at one time or another. You like the boats come back after thanksgiving for the parade of lights cruises.

@@caileyandjason it’s a whole Christmas event. They put lights on the boardwalk and even have a fire breathing dragon! The kids get to talk to Santa and hear their names called out. Dress warm, it will be pretty cold!
So far all these rooms pass the test! Who doesn't love a road trip!

Born and raised here. Fishing is great. Bass, Walleye, Trout, and so much more. Sad to see the crime rates and homeless populations rising as more people move up here though.. Our beautiful cities turning into something like Seattle...

Glad you guys enjoyed our town. Lots of cool little areas and shops to check out. You could hit a different lake everyday for nearly 2 months! If you ever come back I would recommend embracing your inner child and checking out Figpickels Toy Emporium.

Lived there for a year 92-93. Was half that size. Winter was brutal but it's the most pristine area I have been, especially further North up to Sandpoint and Priest Lake.
Priest lake is absolutely wild with the houses there, everyone is dirt poor or filthy rich
I lived there when Ruby Ridge happened. Truly was an unknown back then. I am inspired to go back and Vaca there next year.

I live in CDA, Rodgers burgers is really great. It's my favorite. And the cider house is really fun and great ciders and the food is good too. Moon time is good to though. The singers you saw had a fire pizza box and that's an amazing pizza place to try. Try the scotch eggs at crown and thistle if you have a chance next time The Blue shell is a fun beer and wine place that has old school arcade games and board games to play.

Loved the VLOG again guys! One question, how did you find this place and how easy is it to drive from say Seattle? I had to look it up on a map as I'd never heard of it and it seems to be in the middle of nowhere.,
Hey Mark! We found this place when planning the trip and thought it looked to be worth a stop, it didn’t disappoint! It’d take about 5 hours from Seattle to Coeur D’Alene but we stopped for a night in Leavenworth along the way because that place was too beautiful not to stop. As for how easy the drive is, it’s one road the whole way (I90) and was one of the most breathtaking drives we had on the trip 🤩

What a fantastic video! What month were you guys there was it in August 2023? We are visiting August 2024 going to check out the area for a possible move in 2025. Summers are beautiful but very short. We hear the winters are long and grey which has us a little concerned. We are in Colorado and have so much Sunshine during the winter and summer so we're not sure about CDA just yet. It's absolutely beautiful in the summer. Thanks for putting together a great video.

When I was a young girl, before Haggedon bought the lake property the área w/ golf pool, Island, pro Shop was all public land where would stop to swim in the lake, very very little public áreas now :(

I used to live in Post Falls, Idaho. I have lived in Canada, Florida, North Carolina, Michigan and Alaska. My favorite of all was living in Idaho. The Washington area is gorgeous as well.
When you do come back..Silverwood theme park is about a half hour north if you are into themeparks

We saw there was a ‘stay and play’ package for $600 when were there which included one night stay at the hotel, transport and 18 holes for one person… other than that I’m not sure. Thank you for watching!

As usual great video! After seeing Coeur d'Alene on TV last year I told the wife we should take a trip there. It looks fantastic! I have a friend in Eureka, MT, that meets us in Vegas all the time.
