Hello Liew, Till now it is still ok, but it is not permanent. Best is to strip apart and reinsert with nylon washers. The unfortunate thing is that the rails are not meant to be taken apart so some grinding off will have to be done. Thank you for taking time to watch my videos. Please subscribe if you have not. It will help my channel. Cheers!
Hi Elias, It does looked complicated, but it can be done. Once the seat is out of the car, it is much easier from there, just loosening of some nuts and bolts. The seat is rather heavy so if you have a bad back, please don’t try it. You may also get some interior panels and the back seat scratch. But if you want to try, have to get all the tools i have there, make things much easier. And if you squeeze in too much hot glue, the seat might get stuck. So apply just enough. Have fun if you are going ahead, if you have any questions just ask. Cheers!
@@jon-xb1ngHi Jon, You can replace the whole seat rails if you still can find new. Unfortunately the whole assembly comes as a whole part, can’t find the individual parts if that’s what you are asking. The two rails are manufactured in such a way that it can’t be disassembled without grinding the end stoppers away. Only then can the rails be split apart to really repair the inside. Hope this helps, thank you for viewing. Please subscribe. Thank you!
Hi Danny, thank you for viewing! T55 for the removal of two bolts behind. I can’t remember if it was number 10 or 12 socket wrenches for the removal of the seat rails from the chair. Glue gun to stop the rocking. The only “special “ tool is the T55 which I have to purposely buy. The rest are just the usual tools. Please subscribe! Thank you again.
Good fix! How long has the hot glue lasted?
