And we paid for that pricey Sewage Treatment Plant!
Instead of suing where taxpayers foot the bill, why not arrest responsible parties?
thats not how communism works
America justice system at work!!
Because we the tax payers are footing the bill. They look after their own. No one will go to jail.
All this time, I thought it was a fresh sea breeze scent.
Yup the Hayward bridge hella bad
@@jamesbowles925 Just a normal smell in dumbarton bridge
😂😂😂 We are grade A hypocrites!
Could we have names? Who are responsible for? Why? Who? This news incomplete.
Nope it's competent af... To the 3 letter agencies that are propagating the American Public.
Back in 2008ish I remember when they would release untreated sewage directly into the bay near pier 33.
As long as there were no straws.
You people have a shared collection system that gets overwhelmed when it rains. But don’t worry, you have plenty of crap in the streets to worry about.
They're not worrying about it. Just how to get more Drag Story Hours in to schools.
Yeah but luckily most of that crap gets on a plane and goes home.
Didn't they just pass a law in California where they can recycle sewage water back into the fresh water supply? AWESOME! 😅
Yeah, that's not the issue. I'm pretty sure the problem arises when there is A LOT of rain and the sewage plant can't process it all. They can't store it and have to release before it hits the sewage plant.
Don't quote me, but SF has a system where rain runoff and sewage are processed in the same pipeline system.
@@HKim0072 A lot of cities have that same problem. LA does I know. the EPA is a terrorist organization
it is an issue tho. sewage water being treated into drinking water is nowhere near same quality as attaining drinking water from more natural sources. nature is still our best resource but we find ways to pollute it (another issue).
@@jessicah3782 You can separate it into 2 buckets:
- you believe or don't believe the science (can't help you don't believe the scientific process)
- I will concede that it's a process and a process that needs to be monitored. But, so does water from rainwater / snowpack.
@@HKim0072the storm drains in SF do in fact drain into the sewage system except for the ones closest to the ocean and bay, you are correct
Crap above crap below welcome to SF
Good job EPA
I wondered why it always smells like shit by fishermen ward
Epic drought or too much rain, they just can't win.
Unacceptable
This always happens whenever there is excess sewage (which is already gross news) but BILLIONS of gallons? holy cow
~ Thats BS ..... That Creek they show isn’t even In Sf Ca....
where in san francisco was the thumbnail shot?
Nowhere. That isn't in SF.
I could have sworn that was a creek /storm drain in Fairfax , Marin county when I first saw.
That looks like the water ride at Six flags Vallejo.
But they are charging TAXES aka HEIST for sewage, every property! “Green treatment”
If wasn’t a tootsie roll!
It's a Baby Ruth
Nothing new people!! We pay for nothing to get done!!
what do you think the crabs eat?
the whole California is one big sewage LOL
But yet let’s build more, let’s bring more people out here. 🤦🏾♀️
Sue 'em back!!
Translation: The EPA is about to make a surcharge appear of SF residents water bills to reflect the lawsuit... well those of us who actually have water bills and don't just live in an RV on the streets and dump our sewage directly into a street drain.
All of this happening on London Breeds watch, of course.
Thanks Gavin!
Storm drains are not supposed to be connected to the sewer system. You have had 50+ years to build a new storm drain system. Of course it will cost money. The longer you put if off, the more it will cost.
You are correct. So-called combined sewerage systems were obsolete 60 years ago but SF has failed to invest in the infrastructure of a new sanitary system.
@@Thomas23-tu8gj Fresno used to flood with every major storm. The winter of 1955 was the last straw. In 1956 voters approved formation of a Metropolitan Flood Control District. Because the area is flat with no nearby river or ocean, it was decided to build "ponding basins" to collect the storm runoff and recharge the ground water at the same time. It's taken 50 years, but now Fresno is not under water when it rains.
Like the Florida boaters this weekend facing 5 Years Prison OR
$50K 😆 X how many SF officials?
That should pay for their incompetence and a new sewage system
But isnt SF one of those cities that is all about anti-pollution?
AKA hypocrites 😂
EPA is just jealous they didn't think of it first.
Who's in charge?
And thats the govners fault!! and must be prosecuted 😮

Most of that 💩 is coming from the water ride at Six flags Vallejo.
omg
No wonder all the fish die around the bay... What a murderer city.
Nasty.
So progressive.
Can they dump London Breed😂😂?
you mean our next Governor
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ the whole world is coming to shit
Oh, they finally noticed, huh?
Since 2015? And they're just finding it now, nearly a decade later? What is the EPA funded for?

Plus, all the shits on the sidewalks.
Poopadoop scooba duppa loop
Hi-pok-Crassy.
In other news, water... wet. Anyone who's ever been to Pacifica already knew there were issues 20 years. That's where the sea lions sicm from the sewage beach themselves and die.
Cope level 💯. If the EPA had to get involved just stay quiet
@Vic547 Ya, if your government has to do their jobs, it's because you can't cope with the problem. That's is true. 🤣
@@notchomomma239 they need to vote differently in sf, maybe then it wouldn’t be an issue
How can you tell if its sewage? The whole City is a latrine!
Well when they allow people to crap in the streets it's eventually going to rain and wash it out. Arizona should sue for the stench when the wind blows east.
The fish will eat it. The EPA lawsuit is bogus.
San Francisco, the city of poop
The EPA needs a police force.
NO!!!
Woke Californians. Hypocrisy ensues. Keep it classy California
SEWAGE IS GOOD! GOOD LUCK.
😂 meanwhile a couple people in the boat dump some trash out in the ocean. It’s all over the news and they’re looking for them left and right.🤡🌎
