Betty Buckley was a quite a get for an Afterschool Special. And she’s good here. I liked the harder edge that she has vs her role as the stepmom on Eight is Enough (where I found all her deliberate pauses and “ums” to be distracting).
The whole neighborhood and the wife of the vandal are utterly shameless. So because someone doesn't physically fit their perfect little world they get to lash out? And they expect a teen boy who did the right thing to lie? I thought truth, justice and coexistence was more important than vanity.
I was in this! OMG thats me on the ropes in the ring and in the front on the stairs starting at 22:49 bullying the main character as he tries to leave the gym.
even for the 'homeowners', let the money go where there are different ethnicities. but do the true, actual, genuine, honest, unbiased homework; learn if the neighborhood is truly safe or not.
Joy! For this film ! Thank you.Betty Buckley! ♥️Xxxooo
Won an daytime Emmy for this based on a true story in 1989

Why would the news identify the boy who saw that ignoramus vandalize that poor family's house? Without the boy or his parents' permission anyway.
