  • One of the more challenging activities of daily life for someone with a tracheostomy tube or ventilator is bathing. Extra precautions should be used to prevent water from entering the tracheostomy tube or splashing on the ventilator. Although extra care is needed, it can still be an enjoyable experience. Join me this week as I discuss how to bathe with a tracheostomy tube or ventilator. #lifewithavent #bathing #ventilator

I appreciate your help, time, and effort. For explaining the things we have to go through it's stressful but we are actually doing it. Thank you much love and peace to you ma'am.

Hello. The best place to get them is through a medical equipment company.

Thank you for your kind words. When i shower, I am careful to keep the shower head away from my trach and I keep my trach covered with a HME. Other than that, I shower just like anyone else.

Hi, my name is Jeffrey and I’m an occupational therapist and ostomy management specialist. I came across your videos during some research for a course I teach on ostomy management (which includes tracheostomy care). Could I have your permission in showing a portion of one of your CZcams videos to better educate health care professionals? Thanks for the consideration! Jeffrey Despommier, OTR, OMS, CUA, ATP
