"Years ago in my living room, I watched a sitcom featuring 4 beautiful, witty actresses and enjoyed it with my mother. She is no longer with me, but when I reflect on that Suzanne, that Mary Jo and Charlene---I thank them for the memories. My beloved Mother is thanking to Miss Julia now. . . Cathy~~a fan
One of my favorite episodes of the entire series. Who knew Delta and Gerald would marry and still be together after 30 years of marriage. One of the rare show business unions to last this long. Delta's audiobook is here on YT and discusses meeting her husband.
If Linda Bloodworth-Thomason could write that delightful passage, why didn't she go the whole distance and construct a novel -- or at least a short story -- to fit around it? I started doodling around one day on my computer with a stray idea I had about Superboy helping his best friend celebrate his 18th birthday. Four years later, I was putting the finishing touches on a 570-page novel, in which I reimagined the entire origin story of Superboy/Superman, and into which I had poured my beliefs about religion, sex, art, mythology, and politics (I even drafted a constitution for Krypton). Amazing where playing around with words and phrases can lead you.

I will miss Dixie. The world has truly lost something with her passing.
