Just coming back to this, Barry really doesn't get the credit these days that he deserves. He was a genuine tough guy, a real old school pro.

Thanks for posting Adam...that wasn't a fight...that was a WAR. Brilliant boxing/punching by Barry and a walk up aggression by Frank. Geez, how tough was Frank? One of the best fights I've ever seen, well done Barry M and Frank R.
I remember the day it was fought, it was Ash Wednesday and seemed like the whole state was on fire. How they fought in that heat is simply incredible........
That was a great fight or a war I should say,I heard about this back in the day but never seen it man it didn't disappoint.I had Ropis winning by one round prior to the stoppage but you could see Micheal was starting to land more frequently. Great fight and thanks for uploading.

Drove down after work from Latrobe Valley had to dodge the bushfires and it was bloody hot, Hell of a fight. Frank hurt his hand early in the fight.
Yes Adam, this fight I remember watching live on TV as a 12 y/o, with my dad in our loungeroom.

Because of Barry's Aussie centric dominance , Lester should have put 3 or 4 overseas defences in the bank before opening the door to Michael's .
