  • Thousands of fans packed the Denver streets on June 30 to celebrate the Colorado Avalanche winning the 2022 Stanley Cup.
The Avalanche topped the Tampa Bay Lightning Sunday night in Game 6 to win their third championship. The team previously won the Stanley Cup in 1996 and 2001.
First, the Stanley Cup parade departed at 10 a.m. from Union Station on 17th Street and Wynkoop Street in downtown Denver. The parade then continued southeast on 17th Street and turned right on Broadway before ending at Civic Center.
Avalanche players, coaches and management appeared at the celebration rally alongside, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and Governor Jared Polis.
