How the Worst Pitcher in Baseball is Becoming a Superstar…

- When Erick Fedde was drafted in the first round of the 2014 draft by the Washington Nationals. Most presumed they were getting a future top end of the rotation starter. However, from 2017-2022 Fedde posted the highest ERA among pitchers with as many innings pitched as he did. Because of this he was released ahead of the 2023 season. Many thought his career was over, but he went to South Korea to work on his craft and he has returned to MLB in 2024 where he has gone to become one of the best pitchers in all of baseball. It's been no doubt one of the best stories in all of baseball this season.

As a Sox fan that’s been thru so much fedde and crochet has made me a little happier even though we are gonna trade them
As a cardinals fan thank you if I had to Deal with not having 5 competent pitchers any longer I would have cried, also has Tommy been good this year? I know a while back he said he wanted to come back to the Lou
Can crochet just come over to boston
It's crazy that the Sox had a legit top 2 In their rotation.
@3-0Greenlight Crochet then Fedde, then Charlotte made ready :-)
White Sox have fans?
Never thought I'd need an Erick Fedde video. Pleasant surprise
Haha, hope you enjoy!
@@3-0Greenlight it's a great video
@@TigerSharkMLB I appreciate it!
thats FEDDE WAP to you sir!
As a White Sox fan, Erick Fedde has been a bright spot in an otherwise awful season. Love this guy hope he has a lot of success with his next team as this hell hole has no idea what they are doing.
Didn’t know white sox fans existed
@@CosmicStar3 we do and we are sad
hes also a part of the all - neck second team and may be closing the gap towards joining Clinton Portis & Takeo Spikes for the All-Neck 1st team honors
Kinda crazy that the Sox had a legit top 2 in their rotation in Fedde and Crochet...
Korean KBO fan here. Eric Fedde was the most feared pitcher to play against during the 2023 season. The respect he showed the league, the fans, and his team also made him one of the most likeable and loved foreign players to have played in our league. His game was incredible to watch, and I hope his career back in the major leagues will be long and prosperous. Would not want to face his sweepers again.
Welcome to the St. Louis Cardinals
Hopefully he does well in STL!
This is a cardinals move. Don't quite go all in, just get another player who's marginally better than what they have
@decker528 that's the most accurate take of stl I've ever heard
@@jonygspot I'm a lifelong cardinal fan. I've seen it plenty of times before. There's always the Will Clarks and John Smoltz and Jon Lester that work out well but they rarely go after big names at the deadline
The Cubs did the welcoming 😮💨
He should have been an All star this year! Great comeback story! Never give up!
Exactly!
Just did a franchise season with the Sox in The Show. Fedde finished the season as my ace. 17 wins, 5 losses, a sub 3 ERA, and just over 200 K’s. I’m a die hard Cards fan and I’m super excited to have him
Glad to see fellow card fans “scouting” out our new player 😂
Hope he does well for you!
remember loaiza
sometimes guys have a good year even when they are average at best
Fedde should of been an all star this year, very underrated
I agree! Would've been a great headline!
So happy to see him doing so well!
Agreed!
saw him in a game when he was in the kbo and even gave me a ball ! happy to see him thrive
That's awesome!
Good vid, hope you blow up and get 50k+ subs by the end of the year
Glad you enjoyed the video! I appreciate the support :)
Let's go he is on the Cards now!!! Let's get back to the Postseason!!!!!!
I hope he does well for you!
I wish but this cubs series showed we ain't it..I have no faith until Marmol is gone 😭
I think KBO is smwhr around AAA and AA a lot of players underestimated the league, but at many circumstances, they tend to fail.
This should be a fun pitcher for the Cardinals
I think he's a great fit!
Big cards fan, so very interested in learning more about this guy. I can say we are happy to have him.
He's a beast! Great story too.
@@3-0Greenlight absolute baller! Love the grit and resilience he has shown in his career this far. He deserves this newfound success
I watch one Baseball Doesn’t Exists video and now there are dozens of channels that are nearly identical getting recommended 🤦♂️🤣
I hope that's a good thing 😂
Cant wait til Kremer joins Braden in the Stockton Hall of Fame with a perfect game of his own
A bit like the story of how Rich Hill reinvented himself some years back.
Exactly!
I love your stuff man you are great
Thank you I appreciate it!
WELCOME TO ST. LOUIS
I hope he does well !
Great cardinals debut thanks for giving the cubs a win!
Can't believe we traded edman for him 😭 that said dude is still better than Mikolas 😂
Fedde landed on my team in week 2 of my fantasy league and he wipes the table every week
here when cubs put 5 on him. Fly the W
Great story brother
Solid breakdown!
Glad you enjoyed :)
His high school teammate Harper takin him deep
Make sure to leave a comment and I'll respond to everyone who posts within the first 24 hours! And I'll try my best beyond that too!
He’s taking the cardinals to the World Series
From STL my friend who's an baseball expert says I shouldnt be that hyped 😂 I mean his first game he gave up 5 runs..that mixed in with the bi polar cardinals Im not to hyped about him anymore 😭 and Tommy edman is gone 😭😭😭
You forgot to mention he invented Facebook
He also invented NECK and is on his way to another All-Neck selection maybe even cracking the 1st team nudged in between Clinton Portis & Takeo Spikes
dang I forgot abt that
you come back from korea just like a veteran you become a veteran
Who would you say is the most likely to return to the MLB in 2025 after pitching in the KBO (league average ERA is 4.84)? I'm thinking it's going to be one of James Naile, Aaron Wilkerson, Ariel Jurado, Kyle Hart, Emmanuel De Jesus, Charlie Barnes or perhaps Drew Anderson (36.2% K and just 7.5% BB in 60 2/3 IP)?
That's a tough choice. If I had a choice it would probably be Charlie Barnes because I remember him the most out of that bunch. Who do you think?
@@3-0Greenlight Right now I'm leaning towards Kyle Hart: he's leading the league in ERA at 2.34, leading the league in FIP at 3.04 while having thrown the third most innings at 131. He has a 21.6% K-BB (second to Barnes) with the second best K rate at 27.3%. Barnes is managing these results in spite of a 89.4 mph average fastball velocity compared to 90.7 MPH for Hart. There's a lot of information on Statiz/sporki though the site is kinda tricky to navigate without having the site translate to English from Korean
hope more players like him will come to KBO
I think more and more players will after so many more success stories.
I’m here because he’s on the cardinals now ‼️‼️‼️
I hope he does well in STL!
let’s go cardinals 🙌🏾
I hope he does well for ya!
Erick fedde not being an all star is a crime
Agreed
I know he’s not a very popular player but you should make a video on Zach Gelof I’m curious what happened to him since he had such a great start to his career and is not not performing at all?
I've been thinking about making a video about how the 2024 Athletics are a fun baseball team so he would def be included! That vid probably would be after the season ends.
Welcome to the Cardinals stud!
Thats StudNeck to you sir.
I hope he does well !
Make one on Merrill Kelly
I would be down for that. I just have to wait for him to start pitching a bit better.
Oh yeah
Love the vids
Glad you enjoy the content! :)
21 straight white Sox broke the record congrats to the fans
Just got traded to the Cardinals for prospects!
I hope he does well!
I cant believe that NECK aka FEDDE WAP is a quality pitcher now i think it was all tommy pham(the goat) defense that has feddes ERA so low and theres no tommy edman to save him in the lou watch his ERA sky rocket to above 5
That would be tough for the Cards
Cool. Good for him.
Agreed!
You have to be exceptionally bad to get released by the Nats as a pitcher. I mean they still have Patrick Corbin....
It’s much easier financially to non tender a pitcher, than just flat out release a pitcher who you have a massive contract commitment to though.
haha they have had some bad pitchers over the years
Fedde - cinni!!! ⚾️ 💪 😎
I came from the stream and I want to know your opinion on the greatest catcher of All-Time
Appreciate you stopping by the stream! I'd probably have to go with Johnny Bench. He had the bat of a first basemen and the glove of an elite catcher.
@@3-0GreenlightI agree
Go Cardinals!!
I hope he does well in his new threads!
Smart to trade him. It's a fluke year and he's 31
wow, Erick Fedde
Kinda crazy!
You doubted us. Now where here
goat
:)
NECKgoat
Fedde wap
To know how he's becoming a star we have to know where it "all started"... you couldn't be more wrong. I don't need a biography. Just get on with the topic.
He’s a one year wonder.
He still has a chance to crack the All-Neck first team next year if he keeps developing.
Superstar?
Superstar…?
One year doesn't make someone a superstar
He still has a chance to crack the All-Neck first team next year if he keeps developing.
He's a Chelsea fan? ew
haha agreed. I'm a Liverpool fan...
Future dodger hopefully
Crochet is a dumbass for expecting a contract after 2 TJ’s and only 1 good year as a starter
You mean Cardinal
He's a one hit wonder. He ain't a superstar
No duh
You can’t say he is a one hit wonder until next year
Idk that sweeper is looking lethal weapon 7 out here
Repent and trust in Jesus you will be saved
