I have a 2017 Ram 1500 with 7 speed ac control, I already have a uaq radio what upgrade kit would I need to purchase for this upgrade?
So the UAQ did not come out until 2018. If your vehicle has an 8" screen then it either has an RA3(Non-Nav) or an RA4(Nav). We don't sell any harnessing or partial kits but we do have a full kit solution to upgrade you to the UAQ.

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 with an engine tuner module hooked up where I can change the engine characteristics, such as sport mode, eco mode, tow mode, etc... I control that module with the steering wheel buttons. If I install this will it disable being able to control that tuner?
Hello there,
It's actually hard to say, we haven't tested the Radio upgrades in vehicles with a tuner module. Now if the tuner module is compatible with 2013-2018 RAM's and 2019+ RAM Classics, then it theoretically should work, because the Uconnect 4 UAQ is a factory option for 2018 RAM's and 2019+ RAM Classics.
Hi there, first of all thanks for sharing the info, now 2nd, I have a Ram 2500 2015 long horn and already comes with GPS and Uconnect app but it doesn’t support Apple CarPlay, what’s the best solution for this? Thanks
We do have an upgrade to gain Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
We can do this 7" unit which would be the most cost effective.

We can do this UAQ option which is the only option we have right now that will retain your factory Navigation.

Or we have the lastest from Mopar the UBD which has the new wireless CarPlay and Auto feature that does not require you to plug in to activate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

However if you do go with this one keep in mind:
"Currently, our OEM radio has a visual climate bug where the gauge jumps to “Max Heat” after a single click. However, the climate still functions properly. Additionally, the gauge won’t display “Max Cold” until you click the Cold Button 25 times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we are actively working on a fix to resolve this issue."

I have a 2018 1500 with what looks like the UAG radio. I can never get the apple carplay to work on it. Are there different variations that don’t have the CarPlay? Or is there just something wrong with mine?
So it could be something as simple as using the wrong cable. The cable for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto must be one with the higher chip set so a lighting cable (Apple) or the fast charging cable that android offers. Also it could be that you have this smaller radio in the link below that does not have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you send your Vin here or to my email at Taylor@infotainment.com I should be able to identify that radio.

If one was to upgrade from the RA1 to the RA2, does anything else need to be done for the Satellite radio to operate besides I guess registering the unit with Sirius?
That is correct. We program and prepare the RA2 radio to your Vin number so when it arrives it is plug and play. You would just use the new preview page to transfer subsciption with Sirius which they allow for free up to 5 times a year.
I have a 2019 classic with the updated media hub I purchased the ra4. Can I add the apple car play?
RA4 came out before Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and so it is not at all compaible. You would need a UAQ or UAS radio.

Hey I have a 2020 Ram tradesman 1500 classic with the backup camera show in my rear view mirror but if I want the Ra3 will the backup camera automatically will work on the radio or do I have to reroute it

Will this retain heated seats/steering wheel and cooled seats?
It doesn't appear that touches anything with those, as well as he says all factory features. So yes you'll retain that

That might be possible. But we haven't tried to do that yet.
I have a 2016 RAM 1500 Laramie. I read that the USB Media hub becomes unavailable when I upgrade to UConnect 5. Why replace the original USB Media hub if it's no longer working? I don't like how the new media hub sticks out. If I need to replace the original is there a way to recess it? Do you need a new climate control module with my 2016 truck? If so, why? What other features don't work? I currently have a Connect module in the old port. Will that no longer work? What other functions no longer work? I've read your "Things to Know" but it doesn't say anything about the HVAC control module and doesn't describe all USB Functions you loose.
This video was created before the Uconnect 5 UBD became available from us, so it doesn't have that radio in the video.
The USB hub is required to be changed for wired Carplay, as the hub has a chip in it that tells the radio you're plugging in an iPhone. Unfortunately we do not create the USB hubs, they are made by MOPAR. We were able to create a bezel cover to allow it to fit better in the dash, but it's not perfect. MOPAR didn't make a hub that fits perfectly, because retrofits were never something MOPAR prepared for. I wish there was a USB hub that would be more uniform, but there isn't. As for the USB hub not functioning with the UConnect 5 UBD when retrofitted in 2013-2018 RAM's and 2019+ RAM Classics, we have figured out the code that needs to be updated. So we'll be exchanging the GENIE max module when it's ready with you! These issues you described do not affect New Body RAM trucks. This is just affecting 4th Gen and Classic RAM's because it's a generational retrofit.
We've come a long way from launching the Uconnect 5 UBD. We really hope to have all of this fixed as soon as possible!

Do you sell the module and the wiring separately?
We would not sell it that way for any reason. We do not sell the harnessing on its own for any of our kits. If the price is a bit too high to do the full kit you may want to consider going with an aftermarket part as opposed to OEM. We put a lot of effort into making sure this upgrade has no issues and has all the correct equipment sourced based on the Vin and we have found that piecing these upgrades together part by part has a very high failure rate. We recommend going with our full kit or checking out something aftermarket as aftermarket equipment is much more a la carte friendly.
Will this work for a ram 2024 tradesman I have the 5 inch screen
