    Very informative video, I did want to ask for a 2022 Ram 2500 tradesman, will the 12.9 radio just require a radio swap, or will the instrument cluster have to be removed for the obd genie?

    • @Infotainment_nav
      @Infotainment_nav  Před 2 lety +1

      You'll need to use the bypass module to program the truck. To install the bypass module you'll need to remove the instrument cluster temporarily. You can see that part at 39:20 in the video.

    I already have a security bypass cable installed from AEV (re-pins directly into the OBD port) would I still need to install the gateway bypass that comes with this or should it work with what I have? PS, my new UAX unordered from you guys arrives Monday, can’t wait to get it installed.

    • @Infotainment_nav
      @Infotainment_nav  Před rokem +1

      You will have to remove the current AEV bypass and temporarily install the one that comes with the upgrade kit.
      The programmer that comes with the kit utilizes the OBDII port. Once you successfully run the OBD Genie programmer, you can remove the bypass that comes with the kit, and reinstall your AEV.
      Contact our support department at 855-636-6287 if you have any questions.

    I just came across this video as I just passed on a loaded out Laramie with the huge screen, for a big horn. So I know the 12” would swap out, as seen in this video. But my question is how is aftermarket audio wired into the radios?

    • @Infotainment_nav
      @Infotainment_nav  Před 6 měsíci

      Right now we do not offer a solution that is compatible with aftermarket audio connections. There are some aftermarket solutions that are designed to work with OEM equipment and those would work, but we only offer the OEM solutions which are not naturally set up for aftermarket audio.

    I have the UAV in my 2020 Big horn 2500. I picked up the factory woofer that mounts under the rear seat and the amp. the wire for the speaker was tucked under the carpet. is the amp a plug and play? what else will i need from you to make it work?

    • @Infotainment_nav

      We do not have any AMP solutions for this vehicle. We only sell the full kit upgrade to the radio. Sorry for any confusion.

    My traction control is not by my hazards, it’s down on the switches below my AC controls. Would this still work?

    • @Infotainment_nav
      @Infotainment_nav  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes the upgrade would still be compatible. You are always welcome to reach out to our sales department. Depending on what is available we may be able to provide a bezel without the traction control button. But regardless, this would still be a compatible upgrade.

    puedo comprar solo los arneses, la OBD y el Security by Pass?

    • @Infotainment_nav
      @Infotainment_nav  Před 5 měsíci

      We would not sell it that way for any reason. We do not sell the harnessing on its own for any of our kits. If the price is a bit too high to do the full kit you may want to consider going with an aftermarket part as opposed to OEM. We put a lot of effort into making sure this upgrade has no issues and has all the correct equipment sourced based on the Vin and we have found that piecing these upgrades together part by part has a very high failure rate. We recommend going with our full kit or checking out something aftermarket as aftermarket radios are much more a la carte friendly.

      Compatibility in a 2024 would depend on your current configuration. This particular upgrade is Uconnect 4. If your 2024 is currently equipped with a Uconnect 5 head unit, this will not be a compatible upgrade path.

    I would like to upgrade to the 12" but $4k for an infotainment is just insane to me.

    • @Infotainment_nav
      @Infotainment_nav  Před rokem

      Compare that price to a new truck with the technology built-in from the factory.
      With this particular system, you're talking about a more expensive trim package. At best you're going to spend $48k, probably closer to $65k right now.
      The dealer won't sell you the radio by itself.
      Most vehicle infotainment tech upgrades every 5 years. You've extended the useful life of the vehicle as long as you keep the engine in good condition.
      Because it's a factory system, you can add other features such as BSM, ParkSense, Power Mirrors and a host of other features.
      All of which will work just as if you purchased them from the factory. You can't promise that with an aftermarket upgrade.
      Add in the plug-and-play engineering, programming and no wire cutting which protects your warranty, there's plenty of value in the purchase.
      A $4k investment isn't for everybody. But there is great value in this radio at that price.

    • @Infotainment_nav

      The upgrades that we sell are set to factory OEM specification. Apple Carplay/Android auto does not work with any video apps as a factory standard.
