I was born in and lived in Southampton all my life. My nan was in the same nursing home as Edith Haisman and I remember talking to her about the Titanic on a visit to the home. If anyone visits Southampton Oxford Street is worth a visit and also the engineers memorial. Also a walk around the grave yards your bound to see someone buried connect to the Titanic. I am from Eastleigh, a small city in-between Southampton and Winchester and generally grew up in Southampton. I now work in Southampton, after having lived and worked in London from 2012 - 2018.
Two of my relatives were crew members on the Titanic.
My mother’s relative worked in the engine room as a fireman, his name was Frederick C Marsh, he was lost at sea aged 39.
My fathers relative was the Vienna Baker, his name was George William Feltham, he was lost at sea aged 36.
I have always loved the history of the Titanic ever since I saw the 1997 film when I was probably about 5 years old. Our family has always discussed our connection to the ill-fated ship and I carry on that conversation the most out of all of us. I find it so significant and touching that both my mother and father both had relatives who secured promising posts on the ship of dreams only to tragically go down with her on her maiden voyage. I remember them often.

Walter died in the sinking, his body was recovered, and hes buried here in Cedar Rapids at Oak Hill cemetery alongside Mahala and Berthe. I know an accurate way to determine the true hue of the 'White Star Buff' (the color of the lower section of the funnels)!
For an AI / a neural network would be perfectly suitable, the given fixed points such as average skin color of the passengers, sea gulls, position of the sun, average brightness of the sea at a given time, Bullaug reflections, the titanium white of the boat deck, including the exact photosensitivity of the film rolls from that time algorithmically for reference.
With proper computing precision, the true White Star Buff of the Titanic could be calculated so far that the human eye can no longer see any difference within the strongly limited spectrum, so the original White Star Buff would be practically (with high precision) found! That would not only be for the game but in general a milestone in the history of Titanic research!

He boarded the ship in Cherbourg, France, and stayed in her during the whole voyage until the sinking. Because he was well known in the first class, he had granted a seat in a lifeboat the night the Titanic sank, but he ceded it to a american woman called Elizabeth, because she was saying to the crew to let her in because she had a husband and a child in New York waiting for her.
Sadly, Manuel Uruchurtu died in the sinking of the Titanic, and later was discovered that Elizabeth didnt have any husband or child's in New York, but she promised to Manuel Uruchurtu to travel to his birth town, Hermosillo, to tell his mother that he died in the Titanic sinking. The Marine Museum in Fall River, MA, USA has a Titanic exhibit that includes a 28 foot model of the ship from the 1853 Twentieth Century Fox movie “Titanic”.

I realize this is on a far periphery of Titanic involvement. I live near Chickamauga GA. This was the site of the Civil War battle that Col. Archibald Gracie featured in his dull and uninteresting book called "The Truth About Chickamauga ". The same one he shamelessly tried to foist on people to read. He went on to publish "The Truth About Titanic " immediately following the sinking but died soon after.

To be fair, Liverpool isn’t just where she was registered. Bruce Ismay, capt Smith and I think lighthollers old houses are 10 mins walk from where I live. Plus the band and 90 crew members were from here too I believe ;)

Wasn't Plymouth a planned port of call on Titanic's eastbound crossings?

I have been to NYC, Halifax and Vegas. Next is Belfast! My city (oshawa ontario) has a connection. They recovered a post card of a church from my city. Its weird because the titanic was coming the opposite way.
Tom are you familiar with the SS Keewatin? Its a ship here in Ontario from Titanics time. It used to sail the great lakes. I would be happy to show you if you ever want to visit

When it comes to the island of Ireland; the Republic of Ireland is the part that is recognised as the country Ireland and Northern Ireland was syphoned off to remain as part of the U.K. as per winston Churchill’s orders post WW2 as he felt it was necessary to have land both sides of the Irish Sea for submarine warfare like was seen in the war which is slightly unnecessary today. Churchill rewarded the republic independence if they agreed to side with the British secretly during the war. Other parts of the empire struck the same deal.
