    Interesting in the way you use certain words to convey a thought, which can be interpreted in different ways.

    The last time we were in Mexico (Cabo San Lucas), we didn't think to bargain and paid too much and got scammed. Thanks for the chunks. I'll bargain next time I go to Mexico which is hopefully soon.

    ¿Que esta pasando con la palabla "boing" en tu camisa? ¿Es una marca de un producto en Mexico?

    I have a certain method that works every time: Do not take any money into the store, and don’t go into the store with your husband. Look around but don’t act too interested in anything. The store owner or clerk will approach & start trying to sell something. Tell him/her, in Spanish, that you don’t have any money (show empty wallet), that you have to ask your husband, & walk out. The store owner or clerk will follow you out. Go to your husband, & have him bargain, in Spanish. Works like a charm!

    The captions and translations don’t always match the sound. 4:07 - Sale is Ok? Not vale?

    • @henhaooahneh
      @henhaooahneh Před 2 lety +1

      Sale is a Mexican expression. Dale is very popular in Argentina and vale was originally from Spain but it became popular in South America.

    How and when do we use the word güerito?

    • @reynoldgooding7626
      @reynoldgooding7626 Před 2 lety +1

      Güerito is an affectionate form of güero. Spanish people use diminutives to express affection, like Mamacita or abuelita, etc. On entering the store the seller would want to encourage him by using the affectionate form!

      It took me a year or so to figure that out. At first, I felt insulted. After hearing "ito" used with other names of employees, including el jefe, I lost my fear.

    I was so hopeful to use this in my classes! But I wish that there wouldn't be any cursing in it. I can't use it for elementary classes when there's swearing.
