      When I see how loving the dogs are, I can´t help but wonder (if they had the same owner) if mental problems weren´t an issue. A depressed owner might well give the affection but lack insight to see what other needs the dog might have and to realize that those needs aren´t being met. So glad that they were taken and got care.

    FYI for swimmer syndrome my friend who rescues and rehabilitates disabled/special needs puppies ...they mount two pieces of wood and mount them on ply wood just far apart so the puppy fits snugly and has to walk with his feet underneath him like a maze ..The side walls help support the puppy and they make him walk back and fourth to strengthen his back legs and forcing the sternum to protrude forward and grow correctly .Because the puppy grows fast the two boards may have to be moved slightly apart as the puppy gets bigger. many bull dog and pit bull breeds have swimmer syndrome but with physical therapy they can grow up to be healthy dogs you just have to start as early as possible..
    I have also seen people sew a piece of 1/4 inch elastic around the puppies back legs so it holds them together to help them build the muscles in the back legs which helps alot

    I love these shows and the true compassion of the Vets, but WOW the moves from Millies mum towards Dr Chris 🤣. She was really turning on the charm for him. And what client would ever hold and caress their vet's hand? She was swooning. LOL
    I reckon the show is on the verge of Farmer Vet Wants a Wife, or Bachelorvette. 🤣😘🥰🤣

    OMG he came up with a noninvasive 'treatment' for something that those in his field couldn't treat! Now they can save these puppies instead of putting them down. Makes sense to treat them with 'braces' while their bones are actually still 'pliable' like putting 'braces on your teeth'!

      @leiatyndall8648 Před 2 lety +5

      It seems sad such an easy solution was ignored & that who knows how many puppies could've been saved so easily!! Watching him I was thinking, OK, so now they just need to brace/wrap the puppy, and that's what he did! Necessity is the mother of invention.

If I didn’t live so very far away I would adopt her immediately. She would have the best, loving family ever! The very best! So hope she does get a very loving family. ❤️❤️🐾🐾🇨🇦

He couldn't believe he'd worked 11 years without one. BONDI VET is my absolute favorite of them all. So heartening to see the real, loving difference you all make. 😍

    55:21 this is proof that with the proper care dogs can have a happy life. I have seen so many that treat swimmers puppy, and just decided that the puppy will not have a good quality of life and put them down. I did watch an episode of that show where she made a little harness for the dog to make the feet not able to slide out so that they learn to stay in one position and not helped correct it because it wasn’t as severe there wasn’t an issue with the chest cavity as well, but I think with Dr. Chris here did was absolutely amazing and genius. This proves that if a puppy has the will to live and wants to fight you should let them fight you shouldn’t just say I’ll give up on the dog and put it down. It’s not gonna have a good life because clearly Manor I was living a great life.

    Kylie is so sweet, I just cried for her. Many years ago we adopted little terrier mix girl. She was nearly bald and hsd 2 big sores on her lips that looked like cigarette burns. She was absolutely the best dog. Her problem was malnutrition. We gave her skin soothing oatmeal baths, she loved to wear her pink dress. Ellie was my son's best friend. He was 8 when we got her. Ellie Mae slept with him, she even followed him onto the school bus one morning. She gave us 11 wonderful years. We still miss her.

    It's sad not everyone can be pleased with any one thing. I wish life wasn't unfair, especially towards the defenseless :( Some ppl just want to be hurt others want to hurt others, others want others to be happy, others want to be happy for themselves. The balance of light and dark good and bad is just, it's weird, it hurts and there's nothing much we can do about it but save those that can be and want to be saved. But thank goodness there are some good ppl in the world that can make a difference if they just tried even harder than they are now.

    I do wish the sheep was shorn better. All those cuts from shearing are preventable even with as much wool as that. You guys did what you could though and the scabs will heal. Much better off than not being shorn and getting very sick with the very real possibility of death. Thank you to all Bondi Vets for doing what you do.

    I had a dog that looked like that ( the skin problem) but it wasn’t mange. As soon as I got her, I took her to the vet. He found out that she didn’t have mange, but was severely allergic to fleas. So I had to give her daily baths and she got shots twice a week. After about 8 months she finally looked like a normal dog. But she took a bath while I was showering every day and eventually went down to once a week for her shots.
