Animal Experts Rate 59 Animal Attacks In Movies And TV | How Real Is It? | Insider | Marathon
I love how much of this is "if the animal wants to hurt/kill you it will" and "animals generally don't attack people"
Right 😂
Those two statements are not opposed, though. They generally don't attack, and the experts explain when they will attack- those situations tend to be uncommon.
@@Girlheadthey didn’t say there were opposing statements. it’s just funny how every expert says the simple fact that an animal will not harm you randomly, but that doesn’t mean they can’t hurt you if they wanted
Humans often associate higher functioning to animal life than they’re due. Typically, a predator is going to be weary around an unknown species (humans included) and they’re not going to take the chance on expending critical energy on something they aren’t sure they can handle without very specific mitigating factors. If they’re starving or cornered, they’re potentially desperate… desperation is a very importing mitigating factor.
i mean yea, most of us spend 100% of our time no where near them, of course the statisitics are things like "you are more likely to get struck by lightning than killed by a shark" or whatever kind of saying. even those types of people who go adventuring out in the wild or oceans or whatever are going to be out there in the animals territory relatively rarely.
I had an extremely interesting encounter with a black bear when I was around 10 yrs old. My grandparents had a small camp around the Allegheny Forest in PA. It was right after we had gotten finished eating lunch or dinner. I was sitting on the swing in the back just waiting for everyone to finish up and come back outside. All of a sudden I saw this black bear appear out of nowhere.. I think I saw It before I heard it. This bear was bookin it from the North East corner of the tree line, to the South Western area where I was sitting. My grandparents had cleared out this area and it was at least 3 acres in length. Our camp was right up against the road and this bear was coming from the one forest area to the forest area behind me. I didn't even have time to process what was happening. I was just taken by how cool it was. I just froze. The bear didn't even look at me. It just ran past me. It took seconds. I never knew bears could run that fast.
I have seen them a couple of times crossing the road, getting into the blackberry patch on the front side of the property. But they'd normally stay away from the camp. Unless they came at night and were breaking into the small shed to eat the fish food... Still.. pretty cool.
Just got back from camping. 2 bear cubs climbed a tree right above our tent, so mama bear hung out for like a hour in the campsite. I heard the bear breathing and walking on the tarp under our tent that how close it was. Air horn, car alarm, yelling “go away bear” didn’t absolutely nothing.
Bears essentially have steak knives for fingernails.
You can catch just about anything with vanilla extract. Foxes, coyotes. Opossums, raccoons, squirrels, dogs and cats all will come to vanilla.
Imagine losing limbs or bleeding out to death cuz a shark thought you were a seal or was curious how you taste and it spits you out cuz you taste bad
This video is awesome, I really enjoyed listening and learning from Amani about sharks
lmao I can't believe they showed her the bear from annihilation (which is one of the scariest monsters in a movie tbh)
Seriously, that bear was... beyond disturbing.
So funny how she went from the revenant to kung fu panda 😂
Making the bear an even better and safer choice! 🤣🤣
Been waiting for something like this
The bear that got the grizzly man stopped while attacking him to chase down and end his girlfriend. It then came back and finished him
This video has been a long time coming. Great content
Great production. The spokesperson very much made this fun and enjoyable, and seems like they had fun and enjoyed the project too.
Recently in Maine a guy wrecked his car. A bear then ate him.
What? I live in Maine and never heard this...?
Yeah I live in bear country, black Bear and just as they eat a lot of fish and berries, they kill and eat other animals and they don't know the difference between dogs, raccoons and humans, were just another meal, what they leave behind coyotes finish off. He information on bear's is so misleading. As Grizzly bears kill their prey, have a snack, bury it a little under leaves and come back later for another snack. Unless other animals got to it first.
ANIMALS EXPERTS REACT TIME MY BOIS!
I love how with most animals the experts are like 'no the animal isn't like this in real life they aren't blood thirsty monsters' but with bears and crocodiles they go 'yeah no they can do better than that lol'
This amature bear expert thinks the yogi bear is closer to the truth😂
Another compilation, no new content
THIS "Animal Experts" are really great.
No reaction of kong smacking other apes with the "mini-kong"?😂
One of my fav scene in the movie
"These days bear riding isn't really a thing you'll see." As a modern clip of guy riding a bear is playing in the background.
~boB
1:44:27 “ no other species of ape is as cooperative as humans”…damn that’s rough😂
Thank you, Insider, for showcasing 2 normal American women who represent people from my culture.
Felt nothing but love for Bruce
Everything is wrong with the first clip except the bluff swipe, so 7/10?! They are not experts at assigning numeric value.
Yeah, I laughed way too hard when I heard that.
I guess I can't watch this anymore.
10/10 would highly recommend.
She might be expert right, but ill probably run for my life if i see a bear charging towards me.😮...i know, im dead.
Today the jungle will be jumping!
The scene where she's talking about how Bruce has the correct 5 gill slits is footage of a real shark. The scene where the shark destroys Hooper's cage was filmed with a miniature cage so that a real shark would look oversized. It actually stands out in the movie that the shark suddenly looks real and has the range of movement of a living creature for specific shots while the shots of Bruce look off and and mostly just have him moving forward very stiffly.
What??? Only 500K??
Brown bears and grizzly a different in size and appearance. Grizzlies have the big hump on their back used for digging. Brown bears are larger and live near the coast
The Shark isn't Working!! The Shark is Broken!!😂🤣.
Bruce is the hero in Jaws
11:41 I think the sight of this food made her want to eat it herself. You can hear it in the comment xD
I think she means Pandas are omnivores and not carnivores
44:29 - Steve Irwin (R.I.P) was renowned for catching Crocodiles like this actually!
No ghost in the darkness is wild
The bear expert really looks like a Hollywood actress.... I'm in love ❤
Right? Not to be a stalker, and I'm a mostly straight woman, but she's a lovely looking human being, hit the genetic pretty person lottery, and given she's a successful expert, a smartie too. All the experts were awesome sauce though. I wanna spend a day with Amani just picking her amazing brain about sharks and complimenting her kickass glasses.
Yuck
Her hand movements made her even cuter. In fact, I found all the females attractive and the fact they’re intelligent, is a win win.
I have dealt with five different times a tiger chased, caught and fought me. Tigers need to be faced and fought, since you cannot run away … the tiger will catch you since they run at up to 57mph. Tigers are driven by hunger or curiosity. When eating anything or anyone they eat everything, including antlers, skulls, bones, hoofs or feet. They run and climb better than humans. They are quick to launch attacks, and are nearly totally silent stalking prey. Late in the day after eating a meal they will engage in an unusual pick-me-up: They urinate making a very large puddle, after which they roll in the dirt and puddle of pee.
Personally, I think they end up smelling like buttered popcorn after this little roll. So - if you are on a walk in the evening after dinner either alone or with a friend, and you are in an area known for tigers or other big cats, and you suddenly smell fresh popcorn and find your thoughts wandering to the latest really exciting spy-movie … turn around quick !!!
sr sharer
Yeah man you just fight off tigers in between videos.
How are you alive???
Jaws has been my favorite movie 🦈 🍿
I would say our friend at the 29-minute, 29:00 mark gave out by far the most misinformation or misleading information.
Actually, about the bear riding. You CAN see a person riding a real monster sized bear.
Look up, Alex Terrible riding a bear.
After he dismounts, he proceeds to wrestle it.😮
Fun fact: The creator of Jaws regrets making the movie, because of how it gave Sharks a bad rep.
Actually, It's the writer of the book wich the movie was based on. Later he even became an actvist for shark preservation.
@@xXLu06Xx He doesn't regret it. It made him rich. He just wishes he had been more accurate.
I grew up in Alaska. In 89 or 90, TWO different black bears killed and ate people.
The myth that they don't exists because so few people present themselves to be eaten.
But they hunt and eat us.
someone ask dr wynn-grant “man or bear”
The Shark girl would talka bout scenes and how realistic they are and thanj give them a 4/10 like what
Love the bear part, slightly inaccuracy on the *biggest predator on the planet* they're the biggest land predator. The biggest predator on the planet is the sperm whale
Huh....Hannibal Lecture vs a bear. I need to see this movie.
It’s actually a pretty decent movie. Obviously not an Oscar contender but good enough to hold your interest. It’s called The Edge, in case you missed the title. 🫡
Hello Clarice....it's good to see you again.
so the shark lady was all about Bruce in jaws which makes me happy but she does know that all the very realistic sharks underwater were actually real shark footage right? Made by a very famous husband n wife team who dedicated their life to the conservation of sharks and the ocean.
Ron and Valerie Taylor if memory serves. And yes, she said that the film team got Bruce "somewhat correct" when she was looking at a real live shark... 🙄
@@mrmxyzptlk521 Wrong.
Don't know why such a low score for cocaine bear.... Nearly everything was accurate.. I'm confused
Bears don’t do drugs and neither should you. 😂
What movie was that with the demon bear?
Gosh I love the Sista in red
26:24 come on its a megaladon though right?
Can't ride a bear yet there's Steve Carrell riding that bear
These people aren't the ones to go to when your life is dependent on it .
Cocaine bear is most ridiculous movie I've ever seen. And the maker of it where is his mind. 😅
Her mind. Elizabeth Banks made that movie, and made it full well knowing a bear would never react to cocaine like that. She gives interviews where she says she's totally aware it's absolutely ridiculous, it's just fun and over the top. It did terrible at the box office though, so how much fun it was....????
@@danaglabeman6919 It did well at the box office for a movie that was also out on streaming.
It happens a lot in japan.
"This panda is learning martial arts which is A) typical."
What's point B) though?
"atypical" means "not typical."
atypical
Polar Bears will aggressively attack.
Don't start a fire. Fire works. Hmmmmmm!!!!
Simply Carry an acetylene self ignite torch.. as one designed for plumbing brazing or welding.. DAH!!!!!
@@JoseRon-cs3hr Wouldn't that be super heavy to lug around??
I'd rather fight a bear than a forest fire.
60ft megalodon vs 70ft megalodon...would it matter if it attacked you? lol
Aloot of tigers loose 95 percent of all stripes.. they are identified by they're square flat snote and very distinct tooth shape
Back Country is a true story, how can you give that a 4? 😂, just shows even the experts get it wrong sometimes.
Where did they get these people? Sharks do not have scales on their nose for abrasion strength or scales anywhere, for that matter.
They do have a form of scale... More resemblance to micro or very small suraded teeth.
Gorgeous and knowledgeable.... wow!! So attractive
She does realize that the underwater scenes in Jaws were actual sharks and not “Bruce,” right? 🤦🏻♂️
They aren't reacting to the clip you are being shown.
They should have at least given her some context for the scene from the movie Annihilation. Or just not have used that clip.. (18:00)
The young lady is correct on most of her analogy, except the fact that Kodiak.. brown... Grizzly. .. all have been known to have eaten people knowing that they were people.
And they have attacked and eaten people in groups. Just ask the bear man
@@vando6679 The bear didn't eat them. It just killed them.
@@redrick8900 nope. It did in fact eat them. Do more research
@@vando6679 You are making a fool of yourself. You don't know how to do research.
@@redrick8900 OK if they weren't eaten then why were human remains found in the stomach of the bear after an on-site necropsy. The bear didn't eat both humans entirely but they were killed to be eaten. The woman was found half buried which is what bears do to preserve their food. Timothy was found in pieces and pieces of him were found in the bear. Please bud do more research.
There’s a great white called great blue she measured a little over 20 ft so she’s wrong about the great white shark length
Deep blue
she is an expert. you .. are not. i think she knows what she’s talking about
Well Google others say she's wrong Great Whites average 20 ft
No. That would mean 30 foot whites exist and they don’t.
I completely agree and disagree slitely.. right, the Bear was loaded otherwise you, I believe are correct
Is the first girl an expert? Jw….
They are generally the same bear hump is only eventuated by grizzled hair because of climate and echo diversity
I thought the largest carnivore on the planet was the sperm whale not a polar bear
Yeah, she just misspoke. Largest land predator.
Sea creatures aren't on the planet.
Oh so now she's saying Pandas don't know Kung Fu! Who is this lady? Everyone knows the most dangerous Pandas are Kung Fu Pandas
13:08 No they're not. The sperm whale is FAR larger than the polar bear. I'm assuming she meant to say "on land" and not "on the planet", in which case she'd be correct.
On land is on the planet.
@@redrick8900 the sea is also part of the planet
Ask Grizzly Man if bears eat people
He wasn't eaten.
That snake in Harry Potter is a person tho
yeah, OK "expert" I'm not gonna start a fire cause it might start a forest fire to protect me from a bear
It was based on a true story and here is some twit telling you it never happened that way😅
Not to mention the fact that these animals have been doing this for millions of years. They know a person from a seal... Sorry to have offended anyone but any true science person will agree
So black bears eat fruit and nuts. But not people, but the bear liked his nuts.
So Bears don't do drugs except for some Bears do drugs! But if with a friend have him shake his nuts at it! Check!
Hmmm these people look like actors reading a script
Bear lady is smart and Hot.
yas
Black Bears come in black, brown/cinnamon, reddish/blonde and even white (Kermode Island "Spirit Bears"), so don't "Lay down" when attacked by a brown Black Bear...Unless you know the real difference between a Grizzly/Brown/Kodiak and a Black Bear...don't follow her advice...crazy. So, in other words "Black Bear" is a species! NOT a color(!), even tho' most of them DO have the black color phase.
The bear info is not quite accurate....both bears will eat people on occasion....
An expert that has no knowledge except for a cartoon she watched
If these are experts then I’m an astronaut
@4:53-55,...umm...that part ...where you say bears rarely attack if there's more than one person is FALSE . Bears are not driven by math computation it's hunger and whether 1 or 10 if you're the vulnerable person in tge group you're the targeted attention of the group. There's been occurrences of two or more ARMED men who had one member of the party mauled and the other men with rifles could do nothing to stop it. Bears don't recognize guns or the threatening new experience or are they swayed my math problems of equality of teams. If the Bears is hungry ESPECIALLY AFTER A WINTER SLUMBERING and you're MOVING you are a meal( the bear isn't walking around sniffing for something delicious. Everything edible smells delicious to a hungry bear.
All the animal experts were believable EXCEPT the primate expert, The Movie NOPE shows realistic chimp violence but the movie gets 0/10, but the Tarzan movie is wildly inaccurate but gets 9/10?!?! This woman is too emotionally invested in apes and not being professional.
20:30 she tryna get cancelled ?
For what?
DEI approved. 🙄
She needs to stress the fact that there have been numerous 18.. 20. And 21+ measurements of,.. like I said, great white sharks
Females.
She gives sharks to much credit they don’t care about any kind of person we don’t have a truce with them we can easily be food it’s not like they see a Human and say I’m good in that guy
Absolutely do not take this chick's advice... ask Timothy Treadwell and his GF
She also said polar bears don't eat people. They most definitely do!
Grizzlys and black bears as well. But you'll more likely to survive any other bear than a polar bear..
You have no idea what you are talking about.
I thought the Kodiak grizzly was the largest of the bear species.
Nope. Polar bears. Male Kodiaks have the largest jaws and are taller. Polar bears outweigh them and are more muscular. Male Kodiaks are almost the same size as polar bears but female polar bears are significantly larger than female Kodiaks.
a BoomSlang is a Snake common to South Africa and you can directly translate the name to Tree Snake Boom = tree and Slang = Snake. Her pronunciation was just awe full. its not boom as explosion and slang as in language... its treesnake
