Exactly this! She _just met_ Dylan. Giving him up for her daughter's sake (regardless of whether or not Jessica is still dating him) shouldn't be _that_ difficult.
They wrote that other daughter out like she was never mentioned. John (who we do eventually see) will marry an Australian lady (who we’ll never see) and have Ivy (a contract role).
Never expect these families to act like real life families. Who would just sent their 16 year old daughter off alone, to travel to a family she has only seen several years ago, because of a divorce? And then quickly make these relatives their daughter's guardians, even when they have not even asked them *before* they have sent their daughter ?
When Jessica turned up and recently with the family pictures, Jessica mentioned a big family reunion (Johns's and Eric's families meeting somewhere), but such meetings seemed to have been the rare times when they have seen each other (we know Maggie never has been to LA and the Forrester Mansion until now).

In the future Ridge's son Thomas will flirt with Ivy, John's daughter, because 1) they aren't really blood related and 2) they have seen each other rarely, don't really know each other (Thomas bringing these facts up as excuse)

Wow it's actually clear rewatching this that Ridge chose Brooke _in large part_ because of the kids. He said yesterday they were "not the least" of his reasons, then today he starts off telling Brooke that she gave him "family and a sense of belonging", and then year from now he will tell Taylor explicitly that he only left her because of the kids. I'm not saying he doesn't love Brooke but like @NewYorkNick always says, Ridge loves both women but his choice between them requires motivation and reason. And this time that's the children.

Yes they really changed his whole character from when we were first introduced to Ridge the playboy. I think him marrying Caroline and seeing how great it is to actually settle down made him marriage crazy after that lol.
I think they had to turn him into a "family man" in order for these storylines to work. He keeps thanking Brooke for giving him a family, as a main reason for staying (never mind that family is really hs fathers family). It wouldn't have been as believable if he was still chasing skirts all over "Europe"
I agree! We (understandably) spend so much time focusing on how Brad has rewritten Stephanie/Taylor/Brooke but the portrayal of Ridge has changed for the worse too. He used to have a kind of insouciant charm but now he's just hen-pecked.

I think Ridge was only truly a playboy until he married Caroline. After that point, he appeared to settle down and actually be a _good_ husband and family man (regardless of who the wife was).

But after that we still had the SL that had Ridge telling Taylor that if she wants marriage, Storm is her guy but if she wants passion and fun, Ridge is her guy. Ridge then once stated that he had been married already, check, no need to do it again.
Only when he was in danger of losing Taylor and Eric had gotten upset about the BRIDGE vibes, we had Ridge proposing to run off with Taylor to Las Vegas. But yes, since his second marriage, Ridge really seems marriage crazy.

The hospital administrator tells Conner that Ridge went to Taylors' office but doesn't mention that his client who's been in jail has been seen in the lobby and even got a standing ovation. 🥴 The difference between Taylor and Brooke is so apparent here. Taylor misty eyed and full of unconditional love when Ridge comes to see her, and Brooke defensive and berating when he comes home. 😒 Going to the Casbah with Omar sounds like a good offer at this point since Ridge has shown what he deserves to be with. 🙄

Why do I have to wait for a new episode every day here on CZcams? Since they are from 1995, I will never finish the entire series as long as I live with only one episode per day.

These women are like putty in Ridge's hands. The way he keeps both women guessing, it's ridiculous. This show is/was centered around Ridge's life in regards to who he chooses: Brooke or Taylor. Why couldn't it never be the other way around where Ridge is begging on his knees for them, but obviously Bell didn't have the desire to create Ron Moss's character in that way. With this particular love triangle, it all started in 93 when he went away and came back and chose to stay married to Taylor. Subsequently, This triangle set the stage for the rest of 90's and onwards. And having said that, i wish i could take a lighter and burn all 3 points of the triangle 😂😂

Considering that during the last decade Taylor for several years supposedly has stayed away from her kids Steffy and Thomas, because she couldn't deal with BRIDGE, yes, it might have been better if Taylor in 1995 would have gotten help to get over Ridge (but not really from James, who would just be too happy to replace Ridge 😏).
So you and others here just skip Tridge's second marriage. You also demean Tridge's first marriage. Plus Brooke suffered too because of Ridge and I can't recall any of their "marriages" as healthy as Tridge's ones.

The James-Connor friendship has been a bit weird, but it seems to have ended with the court case. Nowadays both are back to being Brooke's friend/confidant vs. Taylor's friend/confidant.
What's really funny is Ridge Forrester continues to claim his sibling's half-brother and sister as his own. Adulting is hard for Brooke Logan, Throne Forrester, Dr. James Warwick, and Ridge Forrester because they don't want Dr. Taylor Forrester to know that Brooke Logan bedded James Warwick after her assumed dimes which resulted in an engagement ring, a marriage proposal, and a wedding date. Brooke Logan and Dr. James Warwick's wedding was canceled because Throne Forrester wrote Dr. Taylor Forrester off as completely dead and convinced Ridge Forrester to stop grieving and go after Brooke Logan before she marries Dr. James Warwick. And like I said yesterday, when Ridge told Taylor, "For many reasons, _not the least of which_ are the children" that means the children were _not_ a small part of his decision. That is the setup for what he says one year later in *episode 2545* when he outright tells Taylor he stayed with Brooke because of the kids.

He knows that Taylor is stronger and saner than Brooke, so he can let her go until his family holds controlling interest in the company again.
If he chose Taylor, Brooke would never give back the company, and she would make their lives a living hell, so he plays into Brookes fantasy while giving Taylor a blow for marrying Omar.
Ridge's choice has nothing to do with love for either women, so in essence, he chose Eric and Stephanie. That's why Stephanie went up to Big Bear for him to see her - his mother - her sacrifice over the years for Eric to establish the company - and Ridge picked up on her non verbal communication after a while.
They are players even though Stephanie grew to love Taylor.

Psychiatrists are the worst patients. Taylor feels that Ridge has been her entire life, the only person she could turn to, now she is lost - but no need for a therapist (or friend). She hadn't needed one either when she turned into Layla and punished herself with a loveless marriage and orphans who are better off without her.
And yes, it is the same for James, who has confused his therapist with his imagined girlfriend Rose, but at other times turned their patient-therapist relationship around and coached Taylor or at times even hit on her.

They should have at least had a scene with Connor visiting Sally in tbe hospital and discussing how crazy Anthony turned out to be, or he could even discuss it with James as a psych.

Maggie easily changes her mind, acts so much on her impulses, the current one her guilt.
When she turned up, she was so focused on getting Jessica back to Iowa. Now Maggie is ready to leave without Jessica. And if I remember right, in the future Maggie will be back on taking Jessica with her to Iowa and Stephanie will remind her about Stephanie being the legal guardian.
James might have vacated the office without any resistance, but he is always ready to take on new clients.
James worries that Taylor might soon suffer from a clinical depression (when she now already worries that she has to do her job without a husband to share her work/life with) - and then Mr. Potter and the other patients might not just have their appointments cancelled for one day.
In my opinion, Maggie is not good at all for this role. She definitely doesn't look like a 19 yo girl's mother and also she fell for a boy at least 15 years younger ( not that is anything wrong with that😂). And her acting is ... let's say not at the best .
Dylan is a guy who quickly falls in love and it is always head over heels. He doesn't mind that Maggie has two daughters not that much younger than Dylan. He does not even mind that one of them until now has kinda been his girlfriend (even if they have told each other they are free to date others), the one who had been a virgin until she met Dylan and fell in love. 🙁 Dylan still thinks that Maggie and he can deal with anything.

Stephanie is the only one who ever addressed that incident, and even Stephanie didn't mention the letter - and Taylor never asked how Stephanie knows that Taylor hasn't been the perfect wife, what Stephanie exactly is referring to with her words.
We had Jack and James knowing about it - but Taylor never had a conversation with either of them about that letter and Ridge's supposed reaction.

You are right, that is a character trait of Ridge’s…he is a player. We all know that. The point is Ridge does have these moments of Clarity…with Caroline….with Brooke….with Taylor. 😊
But Ridge can also be unreliable…Brooke knows that and now Taylor is finding that out? Unfortunately, for Taylor she dies twice…and Ridge rebounds back to Brooke. And that will become the pattern until later Ridge decides Brooke is indeed his “True Love”.❤
