Grimsby fan here! I'm not gonna pick the nuts n bolts out of this game, plenty of others are doing that already! What I would like to say is the atmosphere at the Racecourse was ELECTRIC! Town made some fantastic noise for only 1,200 being aloud in but Wrexham fans, your a class act! I hope we win the play off final but I equally hope you piss the title next season! It's been 10 years overdue!

The ref was an absolute joke, I know we weren’t at our best, but not giving 2 clear penalties and the foul on Hossanah before Grimsby’s first is a joke. Grimsby could agree also though as Mullins goal was a handball to be fair. A game of this level and one of the worst refs available 😑🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
Lucky get the opening penalty, but well put away. Should of been given the second on 23' as both players holding, so fair fight. As for Grimsby opener, had Hossanah gone for ball rather than trying to lean player out, might have got a shout at foul. Hossanah milked the Goalkeeper challenge, bumped head when landing. 71' a hoof up pitch, 2 on 4, goal. Dibble solid game in goal but completely out of position for next at the corner. Davis extra time shout for a penalty, no, nice spin but always going down against defender
Heartbreaking loss. Like Luton 10 years ago. Hayden's loss was immense. Frenchie just not same player. The vultures will be circling our best players now. Lets give Parky another year. Looking forward to kop reopening next season. Wonder what our ground capacity will be. Thanks to the Hollywood owners. We nearly lived the dream. The ref was awful but it wasn't one sided awfulness, you'll win it next season at a canter, I'm a Stockport County fan and you blew us away only a couple of weeks ago, you just need a couple of signings and you'll absolutely storm it, I admit to being happy to keep you a year behind us but enjoy the summer and look forward to a brilliant season next year.
My God what a game! The racecourse gleaming despite the Crispin Lane kop needing tlc. Fantastic day...just not our day -yet! Unfortunately for us both Bromley and Grimsby goalkeepers played a blinder in our last two games. Mullins was 'Heimliched' in the box all afternoon on set pieces. 😄 Bryce Hosanna was absolutely pole-axed with no penalty! 😲 Grimsby were a heck of a side tbf, very tall, physical and Wow! their first goal a stunner. The last goal...why did the ref draw a line? I thought you could fairly stand in the way of the thrower (am I right or out of touch?). It distracted everyone and it was in the net in a flash. Poor set piece defending all afternoon though. Agony if you're a Wrecsam fan but what value for money! What a ride for Wrexham! Our squad was always too small to sustain the charge up and we did 'splutter' at the end. Plan and prepare for 'Enter the Dragon' next year.😎👍🏴
The game was a shocker - 1-0 up after 13 mins and close the game down to see out the 90 mins. It took Grimsby just 24s of playing time to equalise. The mentality of we'll score four, if you score three, and results like Dover at home and Weymouth away don't win Wrexham championships. In the National league, becoming champions is the best way to get promoted: Look at Stockport County, grinding 1-0 home wins against resolute 10-man defences against Dover in February, Solihull Moor in April and Torquay in May. Pretty? No. Attractive football? No. Attacking - yes, 92 forward moves against Torquay. A scuffed shot against Solihull Moor and a goalmouth scramble to see the back off Dover. However, Stockport County are the champions and will be playing in League Two 22/23. Worth it? Yes, yes, and yes. And I'll go through that pain again to get into Division One. Wrexham - enjoy the National League 22/23.
It was the third goal, scored by Mulin's right hand on 63 mins. Made the game 3-2 in Wrexham's favour. Should have shut shop but some inept defending allowed Grimsby to level 8 mins later. Mulin's handball: Long throw from the right 30 or 40 yards out, into the right hand side of the 18 yard box, headed towards the left side back post, Mulin attacks the ball with right arm up as though he's waving to someone in the 8th row, obvious hits his hand, ref was running right to left along the 18 yard box, and misses it. Happened a top speed and Mulin wise enough to ensure he bungled himself in to the net as well. Guess if you have a poor ref, you have to accept some errors by the refs. They don't have a TV monitor or assistant: humans make errors. Wrexham should have defended the 3-2 lead better and rode there luck.
after seeing this really happy wrexham ended up on the short end because of a goal out of a penalty where very clearly nothing happened and also a goal that was clearly knocked in with his hand
Well 15th year I this league would have won this game but of course the refs have been so poor this season and grimsby should have been down to 9 men even some grimsby fans told me

I went to Wrexham on a city away trip in the days of the old Welsh Cup and never had a problem with Wrexham. Two dreadful defences.. Grimsby's no 10 the main difference. Head and Shoulders above anything else on the pitch.. That is the main reason why Grimsby are going to the play-off final. Wonderful atmosphere again. Incredible entertainment..just the wrong result!

Wrexham players gave as good as they got with holding people on corners, regularly tried to box in and hold the goalie which also cost you a goal. Manager blamed the referee that while crap, made bad decisions on both sides that also awarded you two goals you shouldn't have got. Bunch of babies running this club.
We not gonna talk about the keeper battering hosannah and should’ve had a definite red, mullin having his 2nd goal disallowed for nothing, sure take away 2 goals for terrible reffing with the handball but add 2 goals and minus the keeper if he did his job right

First Wrexham goal came from a very soft penalty. Third goal was a Maradona punch. The commentator did well not to mention it, but it was blatant. But he knew the game was up when Manny D scored Grimsby’s 4th, and Wrexham’s 4th was a temporary respite. Other claims for penalties were very dubious. Obviously the video doesn’t show fouls on Town players at key moments. Sorry lads, but you weren’t underdogs and deserved to lose this game.
