The best: Home-made mint sauce. Essential with lamb.

  • Here's mint sauce pretty close to how my Mom taught me to make it when I was a boy. And this one's delicious. Inexpensive too. $1.69 out of pocket for the mint. I have some growing, just don't have enough yet.
    We used:
    Large bunch of fresh mint.
    2 cups boiling water
    1 teaspoon salt
    4 tablespoons honey (use sugar if it's all you have)
    1/2 cup balsamic vinegar (No Balsamic? Use any vinegar.)
    If you have more or less mint adjust water to generously cover chopped mint in a saucepan, adjust other ingredients as necessary and to taste. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, allow to cool down before serving. Lasts in the 'fridge.
