- In this video I demonstrate how to correct a dropped German Short Row stitch.
My video on working German Short Rows (and substituting them in when a pattern calls for traditional wraps & turns) can be found here:

Super thank you! Your instructions are the best! I do not know how many times your videos have helped me and saved so much time and letting me keep up the joy of knitting! This video really helped. So thank you again!
I can’t thank you enough. Brain fog from health stuff has made my latest project super frustrating and having already had to redo several days work, I was very disheartened when my GSRs looked very strange. Being able to drop them and fix them has saved my sanity and my self-esteem. I appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into making such a comprehensive resource library. Thank you again!
I’m always so worried about if I drop a stitch. Didn’t know this video existed but just what I needed to make me more confident on my heels. 🙌🏾 thank you!
Thank you! You saved me!
This could not come at a better time, I'm teaching my son how to knit socks using your sling heel pattern, and I will need this. Also a fixed gsr looks a lot like a brioche stitch. Just in my opinion. Thanks for the help!
Perfect timing Staci! Thank you.
I love GSRs, and I haven’t needed to fix any yet... but you’re wonderful for preparing (me) for the inevitable. Thank you, again. You really are the best.
You are such a good teacher! Thank you so much!
Wow!! Thank you so much! Watched a couple times and I think I get it! Finished both my loaded GSR socks and 2pair sling heel socks and had to rip back a few times because of dropped GSR's! Now I can try ti fix them! You're the best! Thanks again!!
Thanks, Staci, very helpful as usual!
Thanks. Great to have this as a reference to go to. Very helpful!
Thanks for this! I managed to fix a dropped GSR stitch on the purl side of a sock, thanks to you!
Thank you, thank you!!!!!!
Really precious. Thank you. Greetings from Germany.
That's really helpful - wish I'd know this last week when it happened to me!
This video is so helpful!!!! Thanks a lot 🥰
Beautiful lady another great tutor
thank you so much for this video! I have dropped a GSR before and had to rip back. This video will help me the mext time it happens, which hopefully is never..lol! thank you for your wonderful video!
Your the best! Been waiting for this video.🙂
thanks for the help!!!
I've been needing this forever! I'm a loose knitter and I will always need to knit on bamboo dpns or ells ill never finish a sock.
Thanks!
Needed this !! lol
thank you ...
Can you do a slow motion video of this? I have no clue of what you did. I had to knit back in garter stitch (forgot to change colors of yarn) and came across a knitted GSR, that I promptly dropped. I have no idea of how to fix it. Now there is this hole in that row.
Thank you! Gonna give it a try! Lol
Hi There-- Absolutely love your channel. Any chance you know how to fix a dropped wrap and turn rows down by laddering? I made a grave error that I've not been able to salvage with everything I know, and can't seem to find any resources online. Thank you so much.
THANK YOUUUI
Thanks! I work very hard NOT to have this problem! I always set aside enough time to really concentrate on the GSR's it's usually no that big a bulk of time.... but good to be prepared!
Just frogged my entire heel, I was almost done too... Even with the video I just couldn't fix it. I just can't get a feel for how stitches go together if I want to frog a mistake :'(
Is there any way you could put together a pattern and videos for a top down sweater?
I have many top-down sweater tutorials, here is the sweater category on my website:

Thanks Staci! Clear and instructive tutorial! :D I'll send you an email very soon, because I want to propose a collaboration! Keep in contact! xxx
