Just picked up a 3rd gen camaro to build as a no prep car. Came like the nova did….nothing but a shell and a cage. Keep grinding fellas!
Are you planning on making videos? I have a third gen I’m going to build as well thought about posting videos. Here and there
Let’s see videos from both, I’d like to follow both of your builds! I’m sure other people would too
@@stuntoholics2110 that’s the plan. There won’t be any secrets to the car really besides maybe the nitrous set up. That’s up to my nitrous guy. Once I get some more parts piled up and can keep the content steady I’ll start posting
Stick with it man !!
Damn Billy, you and Rob are doing a badass job on the Nova!
Billy/Tommy sounds like you guys have a good plan. Hope it all comes together for the both of you. Thanks for all the updates. Both of you stay safe 🇺🇸
It would be cool af to see you and tommy doing a drag week or rmrw with the nova. Looking sweet guys
I was thinking the same thing.
There isn't enough cooling system for that. If he did a drag week, it would overheat on the first drive
Ok good
Flip the valve covers on the faclon. Having the breathers at the back of the motor is why you're filling the catch can and blowing oil out so quickly. Venting at the front will vent all the crankcase pressure without the oil.
Makes perfect sense lol
Hate that stuff its like butt the name is backwards,
I'm happy to see you guys getting better",at tunning for the road and how much power it'll take",while learning more, will make you even faster and don't gotta argue with ur pops anymore💪👌🤙 looking pretty chill now days
Doesn’t matter where use place the vents on the valve cover on an turbo LS motor.
You need a baffle in the valve cover to almost stop the oil. Motion race works has some valve cover that will take care of it.
What that dude was saying about moving vent to the front applies to the steam ports on an LS. Has nothing to do with the oil coming from the valve covers.
@@mikeeagle2653 real world data says otherwise. You must not be familiar with the amount of oil that gets pushed to the top of these engines at 7000rpm. The same oil that gets pushed to the back of the cover during a pass.
Finally? Your dad put it in there a couple of weeks ago. You need to put Tommy up at the same level as you on the priority list. He devotes so much time for you
Maybe Tommy does not want to be on the same level in hot rods. Something tells me Tommy is way ahead in videography and editing.. just speculation.. both have bright futures..
Nova looking sweet. Can't wait to hear it fire up. Rob does good work.
Yea I look forward to seeing them sort it out
I always liked Tommy's truck, that blue is beautiful, you got this Tommy, just make a list and start putting it together one piece at a time
Billy I seen the live but unfortunately after it was posted, so I wanted to let you know congrats on you and Molly. Always remember the good times bro, anyone of us can have a bad time. Ooo yea, can't wait to see the Nova run !!
Boy oh boy can't wait to see the Nova FN people up this year Billy
The saying is “boy oh boy”. 😉😀
@@mikeeagle2653 lol lol your right 😂😂
Almost time for Tommy's truck to be back in action and then y'all will be the perfect racing family. PS y'all are the best racing family 🤣
Nova is going to be one wild ride. Love to see all your hard work paying off Billy. 🍻
Thanks Big Rob for all the work you have been doing to the Nova. You are taking care of a lot of things that Billy isn't having to worry about. We all appreciate you bro, but make sure you keep in good health brother. On another note, the Nova is looking great and I for one cannot wait to see it in action. I think with the Nova and Falcon they will both be final cars. Be great to see you and Tommy hashing it out in the finals.
Speaking from experience, family problems suck and NONE of these people on here really have any clue what’s going on. Screw the haters. I’m glad you guys are working it out. Love this channel.
Now you need a stacker trailer so you can take the falcon the s10 and the nova on the road at the same time be like showing up to a street race with the ultimate Swiss army knife hahaha
U guys have a lot of projects going on at once and are running around all over the place, but u guys are also living the dream. Seriously, it’s awesome that u can make a living just by filming, editing and posting doing what u love doing, racing and working on cars. Keep up the videos. I also really like the blog style videos too
You couldn't have it any better. A Gen 1 TT carb car, a Gen 1 TT FI car, a TT BBC, and a TT LS car. Although it cuts down on interchangeability, the R&D should benefit you greatly and you'll know a ton more this time next winter.
Very happy Tommy's truck is back home but sad the way it came back home he had enough time to build his truck twice if not three times long as he had it.
Can't wait until you get Nova finished
Billy said even dad agreed lmao super excited to see all the cars and trucks running together. Lots of love from the 405 hope to meet one day!!!
I swear that truck is a monster Billy! Over the years watching you and your family i know that it loves making power not taking it away
Man Tommy has came so far . He is always in the shadows of his brother but he should get a chance to shine he is a bad ass driver, does a amazing job filming and never gets credit he deserves. Great job tigger. Do your thing and keep up all you do i really like your footage and u can handle that falcon bro. Be safe can't wait to see you in the s10.
The LS power glide setup in the falcon is the winning ticket. Even if a 23degree sbc variation of a 400 block makes more power . The reliability and tuneability of an ls3 based 376,388 or 406 427 .. its just a better way to migrate. But i know you have heard it all before. Keep the great vids coming.. be safe.
Ole Rob’s killing it! Can’t wait to see the nova in action!
Billy is looks great! We can't wait to see it run and shake it down. 😉👍
You could always move the fuel cell to the trunk. Every little bit of weight over rear helps plus it would free up more room in front just in case you need more space to work on it.
Yes,I was thinking the same thing.Ive seen very few small tire vehicles with front mounted fuel tanks.Mostly big tired...and they have more grip. You get something on small tire, and no prep too?I can see all the fuel tanks going in the trunk at some point. If a pusher pump is needed, add one.Plus less congestion up front. But it ain't my car or money paying for it.Billy and the SRC team will sort all those issues out as they arise.Doing very well so far.
Billy's eye brows rose quite a bit when he said "Dad agreed on that ?" That's funny...
Great to see you keep the truck OLD SCHOOL carburetor .... Thats what a lot of us still can afford or run...
Nothing budget about any of this stuff
Bro that Nova gonna be a Wicked Ride😎 can't wait to see you go rounds and stack cash in that thang!
Love the color on Tommys truck too. Always loved any color of blue. Your Mom is so happy with her 64c10. I'm glad she gets her "Shiny Stuff" too😎 Keep Grindin and Build an Empire Bro.
I’m glad you got the Nova looking good. Can’t wait to see it running and testing
Looks like things are coming together good. Now to see bill back around would be awesome
Great update Billy, love these vids where you cover all the projects. Cant wait to see the Nova hurt some feelings!
What a pile of emotions with that truck coming home, not exactly in the state anyone would like but at least it's home. That Nova coming together... The Kid is going to be piloting a rocket ship this spring!
Billy: "its like 6-8 inches away"
Also Billy: *holds his hand like 3-4 inches away from the turbo
Lol
That novas come such a long way. So has Tommys truck! Although patience was tested, i think it was well worth the wait. Yall will have a few more weapons as contenders here very shortly. Hats off to everybody. #keepontruckin
Fuel injection on Tommy's truck. The Nova is looking good
When you fire 🔥 it for the first time you should go live we all have been waiting together and we can't wait.
So excited to see that Nova and Tommy’s s10 run this spring!
Nova is looking good and it sounds like y`all have most everything else planned out.
Thanks for the updates guys. I'm a diehard S-10 guy and looking forward to Tommy's truck running again.
Nova looking good Billy. Can't wait for the first fire up video. I understand you needed to go your own way, but I've been watching you from the beginning and it was nice seeing you back in the home garage
Ol blue is a beautiful truck !
Shoot, it’s even too cold in Florida, they canceled that race in Bradenton today because of weather, it’s too damn cold. The track is so cold that they wadded up 3 or 4 cars on Friday and Saturday. Crazy!!
Billy you can get a 3.5 gallon JAZ fuel cell that will fit perfect. Definitely replace the moon tank. You need something that is Methanol resistant anyway
Dude it's crazy watching you now proud of your growth dude you've grown up over the years
RSM will make you a tank however you need it, baffled and everything, his stuff is sick and worth every penny, highly recommend
You guys sure have projects stacked up like cord wood!
Just a thought, but those primaries on Tommy’s turbo headers all seem (on video) straight enough to where you can shorten them up so the collector is further back. There would be more distance between the collector and turbo so the Hot side could have more gentle bends and just easier to fab them also.
Billy and Tommy , You guys are coming ahead , You are on your way my friends , You are definitely on your way
Good luck to the both of you
Just my two cents.. We used to race grass drags back in 2000 .. we had a quick cool down for the sleds. Using air compressors fittings. So after a race we would hook up the quick disconnect run cold water through the engine while it was running until we got the temperature down headed out for the next race worked out great.. not sure if this application would work for you. Just giving you my two cents love the channel can't wait to see you race the Nova
Great update on everything…man that hot side piping on Tommy’s truck looks challenging with that turbo placement!
In the NY grudge scene, especially on Long Island, small tire is not a specific size. It's a group of sizes "up to" a certain size. Usually 29.5"x10.5" is the biggest and still considered a small tire car. A car built for small tire can run any size up to that.
A "Big tire" car is considered anything over 30" tall and wider than 11" and us usually backhalved.
Depending on what state makes the rules as to what their limit is, they should state that, but to say it's a small tire race, and not be specific to what size, can lead to a lot of confusion.
Truly looking forward to seeing the Nova out rippin!
Im honda guy at heart but this is my new favorite channel also makes me happy to see a honda radiator on the nova lol
Put a tank in the back to feed the front tank using an electric pump. Take something down to sick week 😃
Shawn said that having the charge pipes on the Murder Nova painted black made it really hard to find cracks in them. When he fixed them he stripped the paint and left them bare so finding cracks is easier. Just something I thought I’d share with you.
Man I'm pumped cant wait to see you gaptizing people in the nova that thing is gonna be a monster and Im glad tommy got his truck back finally cant wait to see him racing that again also that's a nice little truck
Looking great guys,u def are getting a handle on things, way to go. I can see some gaps coming this year. 802/603
I think your dad has probably seen how much easier it is to tune fuel injection. Two years ago he was so stubborn about it. Great job Billy & Tommy.
I'm glad you didn't run the cold side tubing throughout the car I like the way you kept it isolated upfront. She's coming together looking good guys!
Awesome great video. Come to Sacramento. 60 degrees here. If you ever come to Northern California please say something. Sure would shake your hand. Probably one of the best updates you 2 have did....keep up the work to. And cannot wait until the spring when you guys start racing. It's going to Get Good for sure.
HELL-YA Shaun... I live rite outside of Sac. and would totally dig meeting the SRC crew n watching them race.
Ive been patiently waiting for an update billy love the nova love watching you and Tommy and Allison's videos and races tell tommy him and Allison are awesome photo journalists cant wait to see more
Dude… I’m so happy about the nova. That thing is looking mean and u been needing that extra hp on some tracks. Not all but some. Now u both have two rides.. take the trucks to the sketchy stuff with the truck and take the nova and falcon for the crazy fast tracks? Just an idea but I know y’all can make em compete ANYWHERE!!! Very excited to see this nova run!
I run the waterman little Bertha pump and love it. They are tough to prime but I use a drill and pulley to prime fuel system up now. What injectors you running. I run the Atomizer 500#. Make sure you get a regulator to keep up with the little Bertha like the Weldon big boy regulator.
Damn Billy! This Nova is really taking shape. Big Block Muscle Power is the way to go. Good Job!
Come on out to Oklahoma and race Billy we be proud to have u visit our state!
Glad to hear you and the old lady are back together, and glad to see your back in good health I enjoy all the family channels. Thanks for all the videos from It’s a mechanic life garage!!!!!!
Awww
Really enjoy all of y’all’s channels. Forget what ppl on here say about yalls personal life’s and keep enjoying what you do! Y’all are all good ppl and do an awesome job at what y’all do. I like all the channels cause they all a little different and interest me and my family. Can’t wait to see all the race cars/trucks going down the street/track!
"CARB and FUEL INJECTION" can be the best of two worlds, carbs do have an advantage on response and max power and combining the two is a cheap setup stock injectors and it gives you all the tuning you need for individual cylinders. Since you guys are Fabio’s now you can weld all the bungs in the manifold yourself. What’s really nice is you can leave the carb a little lean make up the rest with your injectors and if you choose add some “real fuel”. The TPS can come off anything it can be attached anywhere I stuck mine on the gas pedal in the car. Brake master cylinder we also have space problems in our cars I have mounted them inside the car turned sideways on a rocker [original ford broncos were done this way] this could make things a lot easier for maintenance. It’s just fab time, not money time.
You should check with TKM in N.C. For your next motor they have some nice stuff.
Jon Doc just went 4.12/176mph on a hydraulic roller cam motor from them. Record Run at Bradenton.
if you putting new motor in falcon put old motor and turbos from it in Tommys truck?...i would mount the coils on the nova on the fire wall 4 on each side way easy to work on...thanks for the content
Awesome videos guys keep it up and the live was cool to hope you guys come back to Crossville again it's a awesome track despite what happened at the come up
Hope things didn’t go south between you all and your chassi guy . Seem like a great guy . Did awesome work
The one concern I have on the front fuel sell is the potential on an accident taking out the tank and having all the fuel all over the motor. U can do a tank in the back with a surge tank in the front to feed the motor!!!!
I cant believe how solid the falcon is boys, that car is one of the most reliable runners i've seen.
Hey thank you for doing that update on your Nova I've been waiting a long time I didn't see the streaming I'm old don't know how to do all that been watching you since you started except for about 4 years I missed thanks again
Put fuel in back..if you hit the wall fuel and hot motor dont mix .. put big gas line to motor
All fuel should be mandated for the rear period . Go watch some of these race cars that wreck the front. Nice big fire ball!!!
I look forward to seeing your videos no matter what content you guys come up with. It’s nice to see what’s going on and what you are going to come up with.
Build is coming together great. Glad to see you taking your time and making sure it's right
Good update guys!!! Can't wait see them all finished and makin hits!! Those guitar rips tho!🎸 👍
#floridaboundndown
That nova is going to be badass.
Boy was Rob the best addition to team SRC or what !! Not haten on Alison, Kenny, or Harley. But.... Big Rob is knocking shit out of the park !! Heck yeah!! SCRTTMF !!!
You should take the tank you have and flip it 90°and do it that way. If your able to and have enough room. The truck has needed this upgrade for a while. The ol truck has been good and has impressed the hell out of alot of ppl. For real yall should try and do the 29.5 deal try your hand at it... smart man would try and keep everything close to be interchangeable if need be..... would be great to see some shop content or try and do a video a week or something. I know you got to be busy building a car and everything else goin on. Can't wait to see the next video. God bless be safe
Indiana boy here so I'm freezing right along with u guys!!! Cant wait to see the Nova run, and the 388 for the Falcon seems like a great idea 🤙🇺🇸🙏
I like where you all are heading.. great job . Hard work always pays off.👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽
You two work together so well, brotherly love goes a long way! I have two older brothers and 4 older sisters, youngest of 7! Anyway, I don't know what I'd do without them! Y'all stay safe & healthy! Nice video editing Tommy! ✌😎 🚗💨
Thanks for the update thumbs up SRC TEAM FTW LET'S GO GOD BLESS ALL
Big Snow storm headed into the Ohio Valley mid week into Thursday that the weather man isn't sure yet on its going to be more rain and freezing rain or just a sizeable amount of snow. But there saying its supposed to be state wide. So if you're going to go to Fla, I'd be in the move by mid day Wednesday. Good update gentlemen, There's obviously a lot more work to be done than hours in the day will allow for. So keep plugging away at it. The Nova looks like its going to be a force to be recon with when you get all the new car bugs and gremlins worked out of it.
You boys got a nice fleet of vehicles to work with .
Billy hurry up and put the S-10 running so you guys can take both to Florida ! That would be awesome ! Stay safe and GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
You guys are doing really nice work! Cut no corners! Too much investment for that ! I enjoyed this video a lot !
If you can turn valve covers around on the Falcon and it may relieve the pressure but not as much oil, change positions because of the force, you get it.
Keep your little fuel cell up front and put a big one in the back. Use a magna fuel 4303 to push fuel to the little one, with no return. Then run the belt drive up front with a return back to the small one. You probably could even run a smaller one in the back. Smaller than the 4303, but the 4303 is only $500. Ive seen alot of big horse power cars do this.
Get some lead shot or old wheel weights!! Make square tubing bar with a cap on it!! Cant make them small or large bars!!
Thanks for the Video Billy and Tommy!
Hope you get to Florida!
It is really good content!
Looks very good Billy looks like pretty much all you lack is electronics and wiring cant wait to see it racing I know longer own a small tire car sure miss those days.
You might want to consider putting a v-band on the bull hornS so you can take them off when you're putting the car in and out of the trailer.
Great video guys!! The rear mounted fuel cell makes a ton of sense!
Alot of great content. I personally like the gasser fuel tank. Be cool to see Tommy's truck on efi. The nova is definitely going to be amazing when it's running can't wait to see more videos
The Nova is going to be great! Have fun in Florida if you go!
Hope your forsure going to the street car takeover that would be awesome would love to meet you guys
Can't wait to see that Nova go down the track. Like to see you guys on Drag Week 2022.
