    That 35 SHO is a beast! Kubota sounded great on it. Well done Wolfe Ridge! Another great video Bob👊🏻

    Great content bob. That entire machine is built strong. The key item that sold me on that box wedge design is the pinned in place box wedge. No drifting from the hydraulic cylinder fighting that enormous pressure. Because there isn’t a hydraulic cylinder to deal with. All wood through center of wedge is consistent all day long. The wedge being truly a box with a heavy plate on bottom as well as the top. No open bottom on wedge. The wedge design was built to last. Thanks WolfRidge

    The 17 VSE is a great alternative for folks who prefer to split firewood in a shop or any enclosed building to stay out of the ☀️☔️❄️🌬️🥶

    love the splitter but i really feel it should have a hydraulic wedge adjustment it is a production machine otherwise another great wolf ridge product

    Don’t know how you can get any better than that. I mean, unless it was white and at my house!🤣 That 12 way is the ticket!👍🏻

    @JohnWinsemius Před 3 měsíci +1

    Very nice machine very impressive. It sounds as if there is to much friction on the splits as they exit the splitter a slight adjustment in the angle of the top plate might reduce the stress and strain on the box wedge

    Darn nice machine. Watching different guys split rounds. Has anyone ever ripped off the back of the machine trying to split something they shouldn’t be splitting.

      Dan, I subscribe to your channel. We will be running this awesome machine and hoping to post a few videos. Hopefully with BW, won't have to wrestle with big fir like you have to 7:05 do. Box wedge 4in and 12 way should be the right tool for NW.

    Excellent machine! I think it’s time to try a different brand than my Allwood.

    • @gushoo6076
      @gushoo6076 Před 3 měsíci

      @WilleysFirewood, May I ask what you don't like about your Allwood? It seems like they make a very good bunch of splitters just watching the videos. If I were to replace my splitter with another horizontal it would be either Allwood or Wolfe Ridge. Definitely Wolfe Ridge on the verticals. One of the other brands has scrambled trying to keep up with wolf ridge on the vertical machine. It strikes me as very funny and very complimentary to Wolfe Ridge having them do that. It should be illegal, but I guess you can copy anything that doesn't have a patent. Good for consumers but bad for the original designers of equipment that make a big impact in the market like Wolf Ridge did there.

      @WilleysFirewood Před 3 měsíci

      @@gushoo6076 my Allwood is a great machine I just wish that it had the autocycle valves. It would make running the machine with one person much more efficient. I really like that the box wedge and traditional wedges can be swapped on and off the wolfridge as well. Mine is traditional knife setup only. No option for box wedge. Diesel is a much better option for longevity and fuel consumption as well.

      @@WilleysFirewood Thank you. I was wondering if they looked better than they are somehow. Thankfully it seems they are very good like I was thinking. I appreciate your review and explanation a lot. Take care.

    You don’t need 2 people to change that wedge. Ben can do it one handed.

    Bob, WR team, can you double check if bronze slides need lubrication? I always thought that unless they are graphite plugged, they needed some lubricant. Unlike steel, bronze will micro absorb some so that you can reduce the feequency. Are the slides made of special self lubricating bronze?

      @@BeavertonFamilyFirewood That's exactly what it looks like.. the wood wants to bind making splitting much more difficult than it is. That's a beast of a machine ! Most impressive !

      I think it only needs to be unplugged for long term storage. No issues leaving it plugged in for a week
