We looked forward to this so much during the Sydney Olympics. A great plus for us, along with the joy of hosting "the greatest Olympics ever", which it still is.

We love Roy & HG, they show the world exactly what our Aussie sense of humour is as lot of the world don't get it. Apparently the athletes from all over the world absolutely loved watching them every night, they loved the commentary on all sports, some even hoped Roy & HG would commentate them.
"Roy" was the ex athlete in every single sport in the Olympics while "HG" was the actual commentator. Like with real sports commentary there's always the commentator & an ex athlete as the co commentator. Their satire every single night was brilliant, they commentated on a lot of the sports, a few each night. I think most Aussie's loved watching Roy & HG every night over watching the actual events which is weird as sport is the most important thing in our country, we love our sport, we idolise sportsmen and women over idolizing Hollywood A-list celebs. Even our Aussie men's cricket teams captain is higher on the order of rank Straya, so after the Governor General it goes Pat Cummins who is the Aussie cricket teams captain followed by the Prime Minister & Prime Ministers from the past & even the PM atm all admit that the Aussie cricket captain has the hardest job in Australia.
