Respect to Omar, he's alot older now but he did his thing ! It was great seeing him back on that stage :) He will always be the 1st original Bboy to win the first BC One!
A lot of you people didn't know why Omar was here, the reason why is because Red Bull wanted to have every winner of BC One in the 10th anniversery edition. Omar was the first Red Bull BC One winner in 2004. A lot of you didn't notice that literally every BC One winner was in this BC One edition. Plus the reason why Omar didn't look like he usually was is becsuse he was long off the scene because he wanted to take care of his family when his daughter came and he wanted a break from B-Boying. Props him though, sets were clean and was still able to show that he could still do it.

It depends on the individuals lifestyle. B-boys don't have to slow down too much or stop breaking just because they have a kid. Gravity has a kid and is still goin strong.
I wouldn't go back as far as 10 years ago. Omar got better since then. 2009 was the cleanest and fastest I've seen him break. Check out Flexible flav vs Zulu Kingz. Omar is in that battle.
In fact I think Zulu Kingz even won that event.
Ofc it depends but as you can see, why is he slower? Cuz he stopped. He's also gained much more weight. He's not as he used to be and by time for all bboys, you will get a different style. Why's that? Cuz your strength and mind ain't the same

Agreed. He's slower, missing threads, I think he was either nervous or just hasn't been practicing as much. Can't enter a competition at this level and slow down on training.

@Mark Alvarez I heard he retired from breaking battles for a while, just to do shows. I think I saw a post he made on bboyworld, saying how battles are not guaranteed money, and shows are. Well atleast more guaranteed than battles. Always the chance the client can rip you off.

Omar is still a beast. He Fractured his wrist two months before the competition. He's just breaking within his limits. If it weren't for his injury this battle would've had a whole different outcome. Much respect to him though for paving the way the rest of the bboys.
