- Welcome to the first video of this dynasty. I will take hold of the Mountaineers in NCAA Football 06 and do my best to get a national bowl championship win. Only then, will the dynasty be complete. So follow along on the journey as I try to be successful, in as short of a time period, as possible.

Ncaa 06 was the best college game ever
Pat white and Steve Slaton those 2 bring back memories
Maybe if not the greatest college FB game ever. It’s hard to believe this game is almost 20 yrs old! I graduated in 05,. The days of getting together with friends and playing till 3am in the morning! SMH great times!
Maybe there are more difficult teams to choose, but the most challenging I have ever seen was NCAA 2004 San Jose State.
1 Star Presrige Program.
1 Freshman on the roster
8 Sophomore players
16 Juniors
22 Seniors
Only Navy and Cincinnati have fewer underclassmen compared to SJS's 9, but both of those schools have better talent and a lot of Juniors who will return for their senior year.
The SJS Spartans only have one player rated above 75 overall (84 Senior RE); one 75ovr player who is also a senior; only 3 other players in the 70s as 72 each who are also seniors; and then it dips into the 60s. The best junior on the roster is 65ovr, and then it returns to seniors. That means that you are unlikely to even have a player who is 70+ overall in year two. The roster is made up of 51-64 overall players after that.
Try to sim that and not lose your job. You pretty much have to save scum until you get 4 wins in years ls two and three, just to keep your job long enough for your receuiting classes to develop.
100000% my favorite football yt channel. I love all the retro content keep it up bro 🤝🧡
The JBL references are elite. This series will be good.
My unsolicited pro tip, when setting your schedule make your open games cupcake teams you'll smash at home until your team gets a little better, then choose some sexy teams for the upset.
Thanks! I'll definitely try that for year 3 since I already did year 2 and... Well I did the opposite of this by accident 😂
Recruiting is too easy in the PS2 era. There are commonly house rules to restrict becoming a super team. The biggest reasons are:
• Unlike real life, the star rating of players does translate to how good they are. You don't really get bust 4 & 5 stars and nor do you gem 1-3 stars. That means you just load up on the best star players you can recruit.
• Each year, your school will get the interest of players whose star ratings are far above your school's prestige.
This results in you being able to build a power house fairly easily over a few seasons just by playing the game normally. In NCAA 04, I was able to take 1 star San Jose State and make them a prestigious power school without playing (user cheesing) a single game.
31:05 - I agree with PlaybookGamer who wrote the following:
Over the years I have discovered that the bigger punishment I send out (forcing my discipline bar to lower) the less discipline issues I have in the future.
When you start a dynasty, you are given a ton of (hidden) discipline points to use and I try to use every one of them. Whatever it takes to lower the bar the better since it pays off in the long run.
Therefore, the max percentage for discipline for me is usually 20%. As the years go by I will lower this to as low at 10%. Again. this all depends on how harsh you are when it comes to disciplining your players.
Now you move on to recruiting and training.
Recruiting and training go hand-in-hand for me. Keep it simple here:
If most of your starters have left = majority points go to recruiting
If half of your starters leave = split the remaining points between recruiting and training
If most of your starters stay = majority points go to training
If you need a total roster turnover (just need better talent overall) = majority points got to recruiting
If you are short on the amount of players (well below 70) = majority of points go to recruiting
Love this game! I’m curious to see how you gonna recruit players.
Can't wait to see how this goes. With the way WVU is nowadays, It'll probably be a long time before I see my favorite team win a national title.
Keep them DubyaDyubaE references comin!
Ohio State had a great recruiting class lol. Also, didn't know u were a wrestling fan. I watch both wwe and AEW. Really looking forward to this series
Those darn buckeyes! Yeah I'm a wrestling fan! I even did Steiner math back in year 2 of the Chargers rebuild I think 😂 I'd love to do a wrestling series in the future.
I would definitely love to see how some of these player turned out in madden 06
I did try my best to keep up with the players that went to the NFL by showing how they did stat wise in their rookie season and will continue to see how they do going forward.
@@dyn-chise me personally, I would love to see you do a madden 06 franchise if you haven’t done that already
Regarding recruiting, you pretty much find the green + and spam it until they commit to your school or they don't.
I will again quote Al and his PlaybookGamer website:
1. If there isn’t a “+” sign by any of the pitches you throw at a prospect, that means you have to throw different ones at them until you find the right one.
2. Unless you find the right pitch for a player, spend the minimum amount of points possible until you do so.
In 2k5, do you mean the weekly prep? I just remember building something similar to the stereotypes I heard growing up and it worked for me.
