    Trouble is that still leaves all the app's configuration and data files that are probably taking up even more space on your drive. Apple needs to make uninstallers for all their apps and require all 3rd apps to include an uninstall app that cleans up the config and data files.

      This! It doesn't remove all data that's all over your drive so it's such a pain to find it manually and remove every file and folder.

      search up the name of the app in finder, click the small plus and click other, search for system files and enable that and delete everything

    Just delete the icon of app gives same result... But what about all of the rest system files of this app? Like garbage in space it will travel on your system forever...

    It doesn't though, does it Apple? You've got configuration files, app data that probably take up more space than the app you have just trashed!

    This does not delete app configuration entries and other data created by the app. macOS does not clean these up on its own.

    Does it also delete all of the app data?

  • @idonthaveagoddamnname2623

    So it’s all well and good saying that it leaves the configuration/data files but does anyone know how to get rid of those?

    I recently noticed a very thin gap in between the display and a rubber lining that goes around the edge of my MacBook. The gap is on left side of the display only. It is normal for all MacBook or what😢. Its been 2 year im using that mac and only recently i noticed that gap. Does any one have similar problem.

    Please, how to completely reset Spotlight search data? My Spotlight is able to search for a not deleted contacts time ago etc... so disturbs me. Rebuilding the index does not help at all.

    This is solution only if you are going to install the application in a future. If not, an user should delete preferences and the application data (using one of several solution).

    Wish I could just drag the app from the app launcher as well… why is it ONLY one way to remove an app??

  • @LeeStewart
    @LeeStewart Před 22 dny

    Removing apps/programs by dragging them to the trash is an alien concept for most Windows users. When I began using the Mac, someone said "just drag an app or drive to the trash", which I thought was odd terminology.

  • @yega3k

    They really need to fix this so we can stop using 3rd party apps to do the OS’s job.

  • @irresistible7756
    @irresistible7756 Před 25 dny

    we need an uninstaller for 3rd party apps because this method doesn't work at all since macos came up.

    Doesn't work. When I click on Finder I don't have the same menu you guys have. Yes I'm running the current iOS and I have a new MacBook Air.
    A PC is much simpler to use and than a Mac.
    Notice how when everyone in the comment sections asks questions nobody from Apple Support will answer it? SMH
