Saturday/Sabbath is the God's sign
Factoring in Leviticus 23:32, to be more specific, it's sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. Not only that, Christ Himself, along with the Apostles and Disciples kept the Annual Holy Days as well... look at John 7:2,37 (Feast of Tabernacles and the Eighth Day), Acts 2:1-4 (Feast of Pentecost), 1 Corinthians 5:6-8 (Feast of Unleavened Bread)... in fact... why do so many say and boldly claim "those are Jewish" when in Leviticus 23:2 says: "The FEASTS OF THE LORD, which you shall proclaim to be HOLY CONVOCATIONS, THESE ARE MY FEASTS." Why does God say (TWICE! for that matter) they are HIS FEASTS and people think "those are Jewish" or "old Testament" or "for ancient Israel" and yet if you (to whomever reads this) claims to follow Christ, shouldn't you keep the Weekly and Annual Sabbaths that Christ Himself and His 1st Centuries Apostles kept? In fact, one of the most TERRIFYING VERSES in regards to these feasts comes from the prophet Zechariah: "And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. Hi Caleb we praise and worship and pray to GOD everyday as HIS children, but as born again, water baptised by full immersion and Holy Spirit filled Christians and also those who are Messianic Jews, we must keep the true SABBATH, 6pm Friday evening to 6pm Saturday evening as GOD'S day starts at dusk, the night before, not at midnight, which the gregorian calendar teaching. Keep the Sabbath HOLY, by resting and reading and studying GOD'S word, and GOD does not stop us from worshipping HIM on Sunday either. KEEPING THE SABBATH HOLY, is vitally important as it is opening the 4th commandment of GOD and the commandments were never cancelled out. Read 1 John 5: 2-5

By God's Grace, I completed my exams of final year law programme in May, 2024 and successfully graduated and Lord amazingly intervened and changed my Sabbath Exams during my exams.
Last month, I had applied for enrollment in the Bar Council to practice as lawyer.
Unfortunately, the said enrollment ceremony in scheduled on 13th July, 2024 at 9 AM, which is the Holy Sabbath Day.

Hi friend, I do not recommend the book of Enoch. I believe that God was guiding the men who compiled the canon of Scripture, and the book of the Enoch did not make the cut for good reasons. I would encourage you to research this more.

I attend church on Sunday, but I observe the Sabbath as God commands from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday.

We worship God every single day of the week. Not only on Sabbath. But Sabbath is the day God also rested. We have to honor the true Sabbath as well.

You should worship God every day but you should not trample upon the Sabbath according the 4th commandment. The Sabbath is a special time. On Sunday-Friday I work.
Jesus is rest, we must rest everyday in Jesus. Therefore everyday is a holy day if we walk with God everyday.

I initially thought that Christians worship on Sunday because of the resurrection of Jesus.
Even with keeping the sabbath half the time people don't truly keep the sabbath holy most folks go out to eat or play sports or do secular work on the sabbath when church services are over with much the same with sunday.
As it says in Matthew 7 :13 and 14, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Another good part of scripture to highlight would be in Luke chapter 13 :23-28 where the Lord speaks of people knocking at the door and he will answer, I don't know you or where you come from you evildoers. It gives you the perspective that there's a lot of people who in their minds are Christian but they are simply that in name only and they do not realize they will be rejected until it is time for the Lord to show them such, at which point it will be too late.

I want to know something!
In Matthew 5:29-32 it says:If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.
So if we tear our right eye or cut our right hand!! Will we get our body part which we teared or cuted during our early life!!?
I know we will get new body but will we get those part or no??
Idk my mind says that if we were not able to stay holy with full body part but we could after we cut our hand or tear our eye we became holy!! So will God say ur right hand stop u from sinning, so if u get a new hand u might sin and sinner wouldn't be in heaven so we won't get our hand and eye??
Hi @chigalopichhurii, thank you for the question! What Matthew is saying is that nothing is worth missing out on heaven for. We should not hold onto anything that would keep us from following God fully. In the end nothing is worth losing out on being with Jesus forever.

Hey dustin so um every day I see people tried to predict jesus second coming but I know I have to be ready at all times but mostly I see is false teaching of a rapture placing it also they use futurism put daniels 70th week this year this year is what I mostly seeing it making me with anxiety.What do you say for it
Hi @julianwalker217, great questions! The Bible tells us that nobody knows the day nor the hour of the second coming except for the Father. (Mat 24:36) so we can be certain that when people try to date set that they are not speaking according to the Bible.

What happens to those Sunday keepers who died ignoring the sabbath?
Hi @WilfredNyange, that's a very important question. Whoever does not receive God's seal will perish. There are only two sides. If we DELIBERATELY choose to not place oursleves on God's side then the outcome is sure.
God expects us to live up to the knowledge we have. While we are ignorant God winks at our ignorance, but when we know, we need to change and live according to our new understanding. Those who know that the Sabbath is God's day and choose not to keep it are willingly choosing against God.

Hi @WilfredNyange, We will be judged on what we know. But we will also be judged on what we had the opportunity to know. We cannot remain willfully ignorant, and claim innocence. God sees our heart, and he knows all the opportunities we have had to learn the truth. So we must use every opportunity to know more.
Also, if we violate our conscious and go against what we know, it weakens our moral strength and causes irreparable damage. However, God is loving and gracious, and is ready to forgive our sins, even the ones we commit willfully, as we repent and turn from them.

I really appreciate the book you guys gave me and agree with most the stuff you say in regards to the Catholic Church however I read the King james Bible the same scripture you chose to use for you book if we read acts we see that the church even I'm Paul's day meet on the first day of the week which unless I'm mistaken is a day after the end of sabbath which is the end of the week so if we look at the context of the Bible the church meet on Sunday because Saturday they went I to temple to preach to the jews so I can't allow the catholic church to take credit for something stated in scripture but the catholic church saying that they are the ones who decided we worship on Sunday I can believe that they think they made the rule but Paul and the others had already beaten them to it and Paul actually said that let no man judge you in meat or in drink or in respect of an holyday, or of the New moon or of the sabbath days: Acts 20:7 says And upon the first day of the week when the disciples came together to break bread Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. I think there might be a few more verses that speak of when the disciples got to gather to eat and worship which seems like they were already meeting on Sunday at least 250 years before the council ever had a chance to say anything about what day to worship on the catholic church worships Mary I really hope no one's buying in to their lies
Hi @brandons2209, Thank you for your comments. The fact that believers meet on other days of the week doesn't add specialness to them or make them holy or the day to worship on. There are instances where you have a special guest come in to speak over a few days, but that doesn't transfer the solemnity of the Sabbath to any of those days. Paul was a visiting preacher. The fact that he chose to make the most of his time with the believrs and use Sunday and other days to speak to them doesn't change the Lord's day from Sabbath to Sunday. They were just using every moment they had. There is only one day that the Lord blessed and made holy and that was the Sabbath, as a sign between us and Him.

Hi @rivers351, The Sabbath is the only day God blessed and sanctified as His sign and seal, and for us to rest and worship in.
yes they have authority Matthew 16:19 "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” it is the Orthodox church not the roman catholic, they came later on a bit before the great schism in 1054ad. ☦

is a demonstrated pronoun.

Here Jesus was using satire, for the pagans believed that the gates of hades was at a cave in Caesarea Philippi.

The keys to the kingdom is not exclusive to Peter, for anyone can open the kingdom of heaven by their witness of the gospel to unbelievers.

Hi @dreaddshorts, We must always read verses in context. The breath of scripture teaches that God alone can forgive sins. The Bible will never contradict itself. (Mark 2:7, Luke 5:21-24) The passage you referenced refers to the fact that we are ambassadors for Christ and we are not to add anything to what God has said, but simply extend His message of grace and forgiveness to others. When we reveal God's truth of repentance and mercy, it can then become a reality in the lives of those who hear it.
Jehovah's Witnesses say that Sabbath day, not binding on Christians. - Colossians 2:16,17; Romans 14:5,10
Christians are not obligated to keep the Sabbath.
They said that we are not under the Mosaic Law, because Christ is the end of the Law. -Romans 10:4
They said that Sabbath observance was required only of ancient Israel.
Sabbath was first observed after Exodus ( Exodus 16:26,27,29,30)
Sabbath years were also required under the Law. ( Exodus 23:10,11; Leviticus 25:3,4)
Sabbath is not necessary thing for Christians. (Galatians 4:9-11)
Jehovah's Witnesses don't keep the Sabbath, not even Sunday or another day.

Hi @cammygomez3802, I can understand how you could be confused. There are many teachings available. I encourage you to follow what God's word says, and not what people say. Use the original text (Bible) and not Bible's made specifically for a denomination.
God is the Author of the Sabbath. He instituted it in Eden at creation. "And God rested on the seventh day and made it holy."
God gave us the Sabbath right in the beginning. The Sabbath is not for the Jews. It's for everyone that follows Christ. It's also not part of the Mosaic laws, it's part of God's law. It sits right in the middle of God's law. It's still very much valid and binding. The Sabbath is a beautiful sign of our choice to follow God. If the Sabbath was done away with then not murdering and not committing adultery would have been done away with too. Jesus said that He came to fulfill the law and not to abolish it. Jesus Himself kept the Sabbath as an example for us to follow.
Jer 29:13 - you will seek Me and find Me when you seek for Me with all you heart.
God will guide each one of us when we sincerely seek to know. He will show you truth. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in God's word to come to His conclusions and not your own.

I agree. But we not under law to get stoned if we do something Sat..it's just that Jesus rose Sun morn. I told someone also that Sun not the sabboth..so I know..I went to a Christian Jewish church today Sat..so if i do something tge first day of tge week..Sun..it's ok i know all the more..work...but i do like honoring that Jesus rose that morn on Sun. So..the Lord's day is Fri..eve to Sat. Eve. It does say the first day of the week though to give money..rite? Ok..that's all.

The whole reason that Jesus came to earth and suffered a cruel death on the cross was so that we could have victory over sin and disprove satan's claim that it's not possbile to keep God's law.

Acts 20:7 says it was on the first day of the week that the disciples came together to break bread ! Again in 1 Cor.16:2 Paul said on the first day of the week we are to lay aside our gift to GOD. Acts 2:42 says and the believers continued STEADFASLY in the apostles Doctrine , in the breaking of bread (communion) , and in prayers , so man did NOT change the day of worship but the Apostles did under the guidance of the Holy Spirit !

The apostles kept the Sabbath day just like Jesus did.
You should verify the original, nowhere it says first day of the week, it's mia ton sabbaton, meaning one of the sabbaths. Check the interlinears. Peace
Sunday is not the Christian Sabbath. Saturday is the Shabbat for Jews practicing Judaism. The reason Christians attend church on Sunday is that there were no church buildings in the first century. The Early Church exploded in growth. So, the Jews were assembling on Saturday, so the Christian assembled on Sundays. The Jews, btw, were only too happy to rent out the synagogues to the Christians on Sundays.
Jesus said in Mark 2:21-28 NKJV,
Read the whole passage. Verse 21 to verse 22, is about not putting old cloth on new garments and only putting new wine in new wine skins. Then Jesus in verse 23 goes straight to showing He is the Lord of the Sabbath and He and His disciples aren't observing the Shabbat Day. Then Jesus is saying by His actions, don't mix the 2 covenants to the Jews. They are the first to hear Jesus preach to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Yet, here we now have non Jewish, Gentile Christians mixing the 2 covenants in 2024, when the Old Covenant is now obsolete and vanished away and watering down the volatile dunamis (power) of the New Covenant by this redundant ritual of Shabbat observance on Saturday. If the Covenant is obsolete and redundant, so are all the rituals practiced under it too.
God's moral law is eternal. Yes, we are under the new covenant, which means that the same law is not written on our hearts and minds when we allow Jesus to transform us. The new covenant does not teach that we can now break God's moral law, including the Sabbath. It is those who OBEY God's laws who love Jesus (John 14:15) and will enter into Heaven (Revelation 22:14).

Too many religious rules. The Sabbath is pretty simple. Keep it on the last day of your work schedule. Do religious organizations realize that there are people who work on weekends too? People who have a relationship with God will know which day they should have the Sabbath. As Jesus said, the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Whether you can observe the Sabbath on a Saturday, Sunday, Monday, etc. It was man who created the weekly calender. We don't know for sure that God started his creation on a Sunday and rested on a Saturday.

Right in the beginning God rested on the seventh day. He blessed and hallowed it. It's the only day that God blessed and set aside. It's the only day that He asks us to remember and keep (Exodus 20:8-11) It's not up to us to decide which day.

The church decided to change it to the Sunday due to the new covenant being a new covenant in worship of Jesus's resurrection. Its not viewed as the first day of the week according to that fathers, its viewed as the great 8th day of the feast of tabernacles in fulfillment of the great congregation on the last day of the feast.

This is the simplified version of it. Is the same with all customs in the Old Testament we do not have to follow them Because we are sons of Jacob not sons of Ishmael. This 2 sons are the 2 testimony. Ishmael represent the old testimony , Jacob- New Testament with new roles. Ishmael-bondege and slavery ; Jacob - freedom and salvation.

God specifically mentions that the Sabbath is a day. He asks us to remember the Sabbath DAY. He is our peace, and we can come to Him for rest, but the Biblical Sabbath is a day, the seventh day according to the Bible.
When we consider that the reason for the controversy between Jesus and satan is about worship then the sign or mark of allegiance to either would have to be about worship. The fact that satan has gone through so much effort to change God's Sabbath so that he can have a worship day, gives evidence to the fact that the day we choose to worship on is important and will show who we have chosen to worship.
The Catholic faith is still valid despite the flaws of the medieval age. Because the authority to form the church was given to Simon Peter. Whatever he looses on earth shall be loosed in heaven. And whatever is loosed in heaven also is loosed on earth. And Jesus Christ himself instituted the Eucharist.
