That's why his playing has so much swagger. It's being guided by a sound larger than just the instrument he's playing.

Each of them has a palpable influence of the music that you can easily feel if you're a fan of their work, even though they all play different styles and come from different eras of rock. I really hope they'll make another album at some point too, seeing as... it really pains me to say this, (and, I mean, i'd love to get proven wrong!!) John Paul Jones isn't going to live forever...

Hell, they only gave him a five-mimute slot...there wasn't any time for the rest of the song.
That part was taken from a Mark Lanegan song called Never Come Down, although not sure if Josh might have had a hand in writing that.

It's been a pleasure following this beautiful man's career since I was a kid. Came across "The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret" on MTV2(back when even MTV2 was all music videos lol) late at night...love at first listen and QOTSA has been my favorite rock band ever since. With every release, they never disappoint. Long live the Queens!

I love that hes hangin out with Perry from Jane's Addiction. I love them all and they are the reason I picked up a guitar and wrote lyrics. Josh is so fucking bad ass.
One of the most incredible, unique and "transcendental" rock songs ever written, to think when it was written is a beautiful thing. Were are really blessed to have a musician as Josh emerge from that generation and be here to witness peak greatness 🖤
Being able to just grab a guitar and play something that is 3/4 made up off the top of your head, and still sound like a f****** rockstar, is exactly what makes Josh homme so cool. That's the reason why a lot of people call him the last great American rock star. Between him swaying like Elvis Presley as he plays on stage, and being able to grab a guitar and do impromptu jam sessions like this, these are the reasons why he is our last great American rock star... And why he should really think about getting in touch with the Presley girls and get some blood work done.
