One doesn't get that relaxed playing very intricate passages and making them sound effortless w/o a great deal of developed dexterity. The version I play/sing is virtually note perfect, but this guy nails it. Respect.

I can't play alot of songs on guitar but I learned this one I think George was a genius song writer cause really anyone can learn to play this if someone shows you how and you play it over and over about 100 times. But to write this totally other animal

CZcams only took me so far and my hand felt so small. I feel like you have to also understand the physics and theory to truly be good at it. Switching back and forth, scales, combination of strumming in the right area while doing crazy positions with the other hand in a timely fashion... they are mastered on piano but alien on the guitar. :(
Learning Guitar indirectly improved my concentration levels so much when learning lol , no wonder I'm fully focused learning a song for 2 hours a day, it raised my attention span too and i learn patterns in different parts of my life quicker! Like phone numbers lol

I am honing my piano skills, art skills, and even teaching myself sign language so if I can’t play guitar might as well learn other stuff! 😂 Chess is also a great way to increase brain power and analytical skills. I feel like learning new skills and memorization keeps the brain at a longer lasting healthier state. Great tools out there!
I can relate to what you are saying. I used to play piano 🎹 and now I play guitar 🎸. But I still don’t understand the guitar. A piano 🎹 is laid out in repeating 8 note octaves. That I can understand. The guitar 🎸 I still can’t comprehend it. I can play chords but what key it is and where that is musically I have no clue. 😎👏🏻🎸🎹
Interesting; guitar was the first instrument I learned to play when I was around 15 years old. I tried to learn keyboards maybe 15-20 years later and found it frustrating (couldn't understand how both hands could play different chords/notes while your palms were in the down position!). I think maybe it has something to do with "imprinting" on the instrument you either first start with, or stick with long enough to set the brain pathways that control muscle memory. It then makes it difficult to switch to another type of instrument. I think it can only be overcome if you are willing to practice enough to develop new muscle and brain pathways. In my case, I wasn't willing to spend the time to learn to play piano/keyboards. I think genetics may also play a factor since there are gifted individuals who seem adept at playing multiple instruments, pretty much "at will".
I've watched & love your videos over the years & in my humble opinion I have not come across anybody on CZcams that has your caliber of guitar playing. Your just simply head & shoulders above the rest & of course I'm not talking about artists such as Clapton, Page or Beck just us mere guitar players that make up the rest of the world. Such a catchy melody, wonderful guitar parts and a totally astonishing moog synthesizer part played with great taste by George himself. Gives an amazing sense of peace and it's easily the most beautiful song on Abbey Road
This song reminds me of going to college circa '69. War raging in Viet Nam and women burning their bras and civil rights outbursts throughout the country. Abbey Road was a bright spot during that time. I would give my right testicle lol to be able to play like this. Well maybe my left one. I love the Fab 4 and love all your renditions of their songs.
