Not my usual type of film at all but I have to say, this film was bloody brilliant!!!!!! Literally… This German made film really surprised me to be honest! Combining a typical plane hijacking film with vampires is genius! It’s a very gory film with lots of blood! Some really good performances too, especially the lead actress who plays the Mum. Really liked her character!

yeah that's crazy I was feeling like that too. A couple of hours (I normally get tired of long movies but not this movie) ,a couple of beers and a cigar sitting out in the hot night with blood sucking vampire mosquitoes trying to suck the beer out of my blood (hahaha), and yes I was feeling the same as I was cheering for the kid, damn what a movie.

@@dxcSOUL I recommend watching Into the Night, it's shot 90% of time in a plane too and it really shows how people from different countries and races solve their problems and try to put aside their differences all around a beautiful plot with season 2 on the way.

This is a really good movie. I watched the film without seeing the trailer or knowing what the movie was about. Excellent twist. Love it! Don't want to spoil it for anyone so the less you know the better.

I especially loved this film because initially I thought I was watching a hijacking/Heist film having not seen the trailer. Yes, a pity the trailer gives the twist away - It really centers around vampires. Great film.

This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Thought it was gonna be a generic vampire flick, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything about it is outstanding: plot, characters, acting, special effects.. An excellent script and just as excellently executed. Very gripping and realistic, with a few fascinating storylines and profound characters. Hats off!

Really, really good film, with a story line that is actually well written with skillful editing. The acting is excellent; watching a mother fight to keep her baby alive and then forced to push him away to save him was very moving.
I hope everyone involved feels really proud of their work because they did an amazing job.

Holy shit, this movie was great! Honestly, one of the best vampire movies ever made, because it's so different. The acting is amazing, and the story is really intriguing. Some scenes were surprisingly gripping and intense. The most interesting movie I've seen in a while. Highly recommended!

I was looking forward to this movie, and it was better than I expected. It was an awesome horror/thriller, while at the same time being a story about the extreme aspects of human nature, and the love of a mother for her child.

I just finished watching it. Long story short, Blood Red Sky is the BEST HORROR MOVIE THAT I'VE SEEN ALL YEAR!!!! The atmosphere was so suspenseful, the characters were very likable and relatable, and there were even very emotional moments in it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! 10/10!
Fun Fact: Dominic Purcell was the Dracula in the 3rd movie of "Blade" series.
Fun fact, his vampire character is immune with sunlight in that film.

I watched it in German, I agree the kid is still terrible. His performance and some of the editing in the 2nd half of the film were reallly annoying.
The lead actress and the main villian were outstanding tho, extremely talented actors. So i'll give it an 8/10.
The movie was amazing. You know what I don't really like watching vampire movies but this one is built differently that's why I love this. This is highly recommended to all of those who haven't watch the movie yet.

After the teaser, I had wondered what would happen when she bit someone: if the 'disease' was transmissible by bite or if it was something she'd been born with(inherited). Now, I know. There are so many levels to this movie. I haven't been excited for a vampire flick in a long time.

We've seen it before but I'm glad they are making the vampire the hero especially under these circumstances. A single mom that discovers what power she has as a vampire and embraces it to save her son and other people on a plane with hostage takers. I'm definitely here for this.

Never thought I would have teary eyes watching this horror movie! I really like this movie...yes it was so gory, suspence, horror but I think it also gave you more than that.. it gave you a deeper sense of the power of love in this movie between mum and son in this unthinkable situation,❤️

I've been searching for a good vampire movie for a while now and I'm so glad I came across this one. It's a definite 10/10 for me - the vampires are a similar style to 30 days of night vampires and the plot twist was very nice. If you haven't watched it I recommend you do it asap

One word amazing. It's plot is not like those of previous vampire movies. Absolutely enjoyed it from first to end.

I know what you mean, I'm a big fan of vampire films, But I got sucked into (pun intended) Twilight, don't get me wrong, I liked them. but to me they needed Fangs, they needed to not sparkle in sunlight. generally it was a Love Triangle with a Moody Arsed Vampire and a Loved up Wolf and a Teasing Adolescent girl. I just felt sorry for Jacob........ Anyways! it's been a long time since I have seen a good vampire movie and I am already wanting this on DVD. lol.
One of the best films I’ve seen in recent years especially in the horror/thriller. It’s ironic the last vampire film 30 Day of Night, was one of the best horror films I’ve also seen in a while as well.
The film overall is just really well balanced and it shows through its storytelling. It mixes so many common genres and themes in movies we’ve seen into something of its own which also makes it different/unique.
The film is not too artsy and pretentious like these indie and Academy award films that cater to movie nerds who think know everything about a good movie and the film also isn’t cheap like these Hollywood action/superhero films nowadays.
This the type of films that we should see more in Hollywood. I hear it got some mixed reviews and don’t agree.
I do think film could stall and be a bit slow, but it made up for it with its storytelling. Also it isn’t necessarily scary, but I feel there are a lot of Slasher/zombie,vampire films are more tense/gory than outright scary like other horror genres.
Overall really great film and its fun regardless even if it’s not your most favorite or think it’s just average.
I put this movie on as background noise while doing some chores thinking it would be whatever. I am very much not a fan of vampire movies in general, but this one was surprisingly really really good! Must watch!!
