Of course I did I love your content also I’m gunning to win a bike
How tall is my Harley simp bro?
Thank God
The sportster is a expensive Piece of shit
It’s a 5,000 bike they charge 12,000 for
A nice bike but not a 12-13,000 bike at all and it’s never been in the 80s and now
Thanks for really confusing the crap out of me
The way Harley Davidson are inflating prices, will make the Indian a more attractive and affordable bike to buy.
Am Sure that is going to happen
With the Harley's being bottom of the barrel for performance, I'm not sure why you would buy one, besides the ego of the brand, there are multiple better options in every other category.
Harley is garbage and will fail soon enough.
I just bought the scout bobber today.
That’s why I chose the Indian
The Scout is the best engineered motorcycle I've owned in fifty years of riding. Not kidding. Great motor. If you want more comfort, grow a bigger ass.
I'm a HD guy. But the scout is suuuuper nice. The engine is Swiss made I think. Like a clockwork.
Or you get a aftermarket seat like a Corbin Seat
@@cohenjrusmc Corbin is the way to go. 100%
Duh the newer the better lol
@@cohenjrusmc that's what I got and it totally transformed the comfort level of my scout bobber
1) Looks like the front tire on the Indian is backwards.
2) Just get a Bonneville T120 and call it a day.
3) Screw Harley, I'd buy an Indian if I ever got a cruiser. Indian isn't afraid to innovate and evolve.
innovate, hahahaha, pretty much redesigning asian overhead cam metrics hahahahahah
Triumph Speed Twin !!!
@Julian Crooks So you think the Indians too expensive but say to go with the slightly more expensive bonneville? Scout bobber - $10,999 bonneville bobber - $11950 Scout - $11,499 bonneville t120 - $11,850
The t100 is cheaper, but smaller engine, so more inline with the scout 60, which is then a lot cheaper than the t100(almost 2k cheaper).
If ya just like the bonneville that’s one thing, not a bad bike at all. But to say to go with it because Indians are expensive makes no sense when Indians cheaper. And at least the bobber is cheaper than standard on scouts not more
@@randymarks4011 and Harley hasn't changed in how many years?.. explains why their in major trouble...
@@randymarks4011 you say that like copying Asian designs are a bad thing? If it works it works right?
Video should be renamed “Harley simp dislikes superior bike.”
😂
@ 13:46 says it all ! " Scout is better than any Sportster ! "
Lol. The Indian is a better bike but since I can sink more cash into the POS Harley makes to make it rideable, I'll take the Sportster because damn I love that T-shirt manufacturer so much.
You guys can trash the harleys all you like, but I still love my little orange piece of shit. It gets me where I'm going as fast as I need to get there, and that's good enough for me.
@@dudemcfurgusson7179 By that standard almost any bike could fit the bill. Ride what you like, you don't have to justify it. People are "trashing" Harley because up until recently, they don't innovate and their performance is not there for the price point. We'll see what the Sportster S can do, it looks like they're going to try and give the Scout a run for its money.
@@nonya7954 The S is a completely different style of bike. Compares more to the FTR. I'm not a brand snob, so I'd love to own both.
Spike says it's not a beginner bike but here I am with it as my first motorcycle and learned how to ride on it lol
Shoulda got a busa...
A scout is my first bike too and i love it. He is right about it feeling like a loaded gun at times though. You can feel all that power just wanting to get out haha
@@JosephRivera588 that's very true but I had it down in less then a week ya just need to be kinda gentle on the throttle at first
Scout Bobber for my first as well. The key thing about using it as a beginner bike is how well do you know yourself. Below 5000 rpms, its well mannered and smooth...give in to the temptation and take it above and it feels like you kicked in to warp drive. No need to spend unnecessary money on power mods, but if you do want to, there is a 79 ci kit out there that will put you into whatever territory it is that HD refers to as Stage 4
@@stuckinpodunk do you happen to have a link for the kit? I havent found any power adders other than an air cleaner, exhaust and tune. Thank you in advance
I mean that's what Harley has admitted that their major issue has been not keeping their bikes relevant. Indian makes an excellent American cruiser that brings in modern engineering and reliability, with classic styling with modern touches.
I mean, Anthony Hopkins didnt make a movie called "Worlds Fastest Harley"
Spite: I'm a Harley boi!!!! Cruiser life baby!!!
Also Spite: I just don't like forward controls... (???)
Spite wears a leather jacket and gloves and ripped jeans so
Mid controls all the way on my sporty 😊
@Julian Crooks Im not the biggest dude. 170 cm 😁 Got "dirt bike" bars on it. I like it with the mids.
@Julian Crooks im short (5'6) and forward controls are it.
I must have missed the intro video for the new guy, I know he's been in a few though. Keep him on, pay him well, put him in the modding vids. Good energy.
The video is a harly guy trying to net picking the problems in the scout
I find it funny, that almost everything is better on the scout but yet he selected the harley!
Well most people does choose harley over indian scout
There is something raw about a harley that gives it character that other bikes don't have. I have owned Harleys, Hondas, Kawasaki, etc and the Harley was just a unique experience. The smoothness from Japanese manufacturers such as Honda gives it almost a sterile feel
@@hellraiserrec19 I think that when you say there's something about a Harley that gives it character that other bikes just don't have, and then you say that the other bikes specifically the Indian is a much better bike, we're saying that the character is just in one's head. If you like the Mystique and the idea of riding a Harley, nothing wrong with that. But realize a better bike, a much better bike has been built and is slowly taking the the Mystique and more importantly cells of Harley away. It's kind of like getting a 60 inch plasma TV 15 years ago. It was a great TV and I don't know if there was a better TV that I enjoyed. However now I can get a 60 in LED TV with a better picture much better quality in the picture. Why would I go back to the plasma
@@ba9233 I didnt say the Indian was a "better" bike, just different. At the end of the day you are not just buying a means of transportation, you are buying an experience. The key is to buy the experience that you enjoy and suits you as a rider
@@hellraiserrec19 It's like choosing a 69 Charger with 500hp over a 1000hp Nissan GTR. The GTR is super smooth and a rocket ship that would kill the Charger, but feeling and hearing the rumble of the Charger is also something to cherish.
Harley sportster still heavier than Scout eventhough Scout offers heavier liquid cooling. Liquid cooling more controlled heat, able to generate more horsepower with tighter motor clearances.
They weight nearly the same plus or minus 20 pounds if that
It’s also from like 1986 so.... lol omg this bike that Was made in like 2016 makes more power than a bike designed in 1986 major achievement
They weigh almost the same but Harleys are top heavy because of the engine being a push rod, they use a long bore instead of a square bore, it also explains the vibrations. They tried changing but most of their customers prefer the look of the push rod engine even though overhead cam engines are superior.
Its been noted in a lot of reviews that HD's death will be because they cater to an older niche market.
@@Aussieguy72 what’s a long bore?
To put it simply.... the piston has to travel further from tdc to bdc each revolution whereas a short bore has a shorter cylinder but generally wider to make up for the volume loss.... push rod engines (those tubes along side Harley's cylinders) cannot cope with higher revving engines which is beneficial for motorbikes, Indian bikes have that advantage, plus since its a shorter stroke more of the detonation happens throughout the length of down stroke of the piston thus obtaining higher power per volume.
The Harley does not stand up to the Indian. Comparison to a Softail is more valid.
Yep, with the Indians specs & performance it matches up more closely to the Street Bob.
I rode a loaner 2019 sportster 1200 for 700 miles while I waited for my 2021 indian bobber to arrive. Absolutely no contest at all. Indian is so much better than HD in every aspect. Power, looks, build quality. The HD feels like it's going to fall apart. I'm in love with my Scout Bobber.
I too rode a bunch of sportster 1200 a couple a years ago and bought an Indian it is like you said no contest the Indian was far and away better
Better build quality 😂
If you take the harley tax off the sportster, the indian costs a couple thousand more. I like the way the sportster looks better than the scout, theyre both great bikes imo and id love the scout just as much as my 883. I really like the finish on the 883 too, im not really riding a cruiser to go super fast. Theyre both nice bikes. Its also the only harley I actually like, I dont even care for the 1200 that much either. I do like the sportster S though. Too expensive unfortunately
I have the Bobber. My second mod (immediately after ordering the exhaust) was a Corbin seat. That oem seat is horrible! I took it into the mountains and I was amazed how well it did in the twisties with the tires!
If you got the 1920 solo seat from indian its a night and day difference i got a 2021 scout bobber
It handles amazing, I come from an sv650. Only thing I have to get used to is the peg dragging lol
@@thejimrobbington haha! Can relate! It freaked me out the first time that happened.
@@compulady5 I've been practicing peg grinding on purpose so I don't flinch and look like a noob!
@@thejimrobbington Lol!!
I'm pretty sure the scout can give the dyna/softail a run for their money.
Yeah and for 5k less and won’t leak oil every ride lol
It’s runs with the Vrod
I think the guys would like the softail, since the motor is counterbalanced.
In case you didn't know, Spite is a simp for harley lmao
There is no comparison. The Scout dominates the sportster.
so they race the only Harley not in the same class and the 1200r is quicker and absolutely more nimble than the Scout
@@jeremybroderick9465 I'd love to see that race. I don't know the model Sportster. Is it a stock showroom model?
Couldn’t find an Iron 1200, a Sportster Roadster, a 48. Compare it to similar Else is just BS.
@@jeremybroderick9465 my brothers 1200r is no where near as quick as my bobber. Definitely more nimble though.
@@jeremybroderick9465 ummm yea. The 1200r still definitely not beating the Scout lol. I don't know if you've tried riding either, but the 1200r would need mods to keep up.
I'm not really a cruiser guy but I'd take the Indian and stick a Corbin seat on it. What a difference a seat like that can make on a long trip!!
The seat really isn't all that bad if you properly dial in the rear shocks to your weight. But it doesn't do much to keep you off the rear fender lol
@@thejimrobbington it's a fine looking bike. I'd take it over a Sportster any day. I still think a Corbin is a good upgrade for any bike. Mine is a 32 year old Katana 1100 that someone put a Cobin on years ago. I think if ridden right it would give about 200 - 250 miles per tank, .. and I don't think at even that distance I'd feel any numb butt. :)
@@timsretirementjourney8323 I'm not a fan of overpriced seats that take 2 months to receive lol. However I haven't ever had a Corbin either. Thanks to Indian referral program I have $750 coming my way that I'll be using to upgrade to an Indian comfort seat as well as add passenger pillion for no cost
I have a scout bobber with a Corbin seat and you'd be correct it makes one hell of a difference and especially on the Indian! I can ride all day long on it with zero issues
I own a 883 ...did a thousand upgrades costing a fortune..the Indian is best for the buck...but I am in the Harley cult...
“Just for the sake of argument why don’t we say we do a little suburban delinquent here” I am dead
"THX to ROKFORM for supporting the channel!", while having a quadlock on the Indian... xD
Yeah I noticed that too lmao. It's probably just the owners quadlock and they don't wanna mess with the owners bike
I'm soo happy no matter how much you guys grow and get better yall keep it funny and goofy
I have been riding my scout bobber for 3 years now and I am really happy with it. But I quickly replaced the seat to a aftermarket corbin seat which was much more comfortable.
Had mine since 2018. Just now bought Corbin seats, the Progressive 444 shocks and a halo led headlight. I get them in this week, I'm excited to make the bike more comfortable over distance
I bought my bobber when they first came out in 2018 !
I've been on a few Sportsters and there's NO comparison ! Love my bobber ! 😉
Fulfilling? What the hell does that mean? I just can't get past a liquid cooled cruiser? The scout is a better bike and there is no way you can compare it in a meaningful way to the sportster. More at home in a corner? Yeah in the corner of the garage after you buy a scout. Just busting your chops.....great video.
To sum up Harley's ... "I love it because its crap ".
"The engine has been unchanged since '87".
Me laughing while pulling away on my '83 V65 Magna.
This...😂
Priceless!!!
The only ones who would say you shouldn't compare these bikes is Harley.
I beg to differ an intake exhaust and a tune a twelve hundred sporty will keep up with the indian until the corners then the sporty will creep away
@@keithsmith9889 it's not enough, my brothers Stage 3 48 can't keep up with my stock Indian Scout.
@@BlackbirdSSR sporty has turbocharger kits as well
@@BlackbirdSSR that is true i got a 2021 bobber and it gaps my friends stage 3 1200 as well
@@keithsmith9889 at that point it isnt even comparable. A charged engine vs N/A of course the charged engine would win.... And also the price if the kit and just building up the bike in the first place. The scout with a stage 1 2to1 exhuast puts around low 90's which is conservative. Long story short the scout is a bike to do a stage 1 and to make pretty harley you just go balls to the wall upgrading to make it perform before visuals. Btw i own a 2019 lowrider s and a 2021 scout bobber
Been waiting on a cruiser video!!! Since I ride a BMW gr1200, harley davidson street bob, and Yamaha R1. All 2020. And there rarely is videos on cruisers in the channel...
"The Scout isn't built for a bigger guy like me and there isn't much you can do to it" and yet Indian AND the aftermarket make extended reach seats, controls and bars...enough that me, at 6'2" felt as comfortable on it as I do my bagger. It's not that the aftermarket doesn't make parts...you just didn't look in the first place.
They should revisit this comparison but with the Sportster S as the HD bike....it's much more akin to the Scout than the traditional Sporty ever was😉
43% more power for similar money? Push-leeze.
push-leeze?
@@proudtitanicdenier4300 Puh-leeze (please). Me no type gud.

Great video! The Indian Scout Bobber is a great motorcycle for beginners and advanced riders. My 2019 Scout Bobber is great especially now that I’ve broken in the seat and have figured out how she likes to take the curvy roads.
That piece of molten yammie boot is gonna stay in that exhaust forever, right right?
I love seeing Spite having to say good things about the scout. Also remember that they are comparing a stock scout and and a modded sportster.
“Modded” lol ok it has slip ons with stock air box and stock tune... probably makes less power than stock just sounds louder... but ok
@@caseyjones6316 im talking comfort, its not hard to beat the sportster in power

“I’m a bike builder”
Excellent test ! Live duet as a purpose is really excellent, and trust me i saw kinda all videos about the Scout (just bought one !)
You guys are great at breakdowns. Thanks.
They keep talking about the suspension and fat tire problems but they picked the bobber platform, what did they expect?
😂 that’s what I’m saying.
Apparently anyone reviewing the scout does the bobber I've been looking at getting a scout and almost any review is a bobber
I love u spite you are such cool dude, i watch all your Videos from iran and i love your padcast section with yam so much, ride safe and keep going
Wildcard: used Sportster and a Hammer conversion kit. I'm more of a sportsbike or naked kinda guy but I'd love an Indian Scout or a Victory Octane, unfortunately my wallet would love it much less. An old Sportster with a conversion kit bringing it up from 46hp to 79hp seems like a decent option to me.
Nice video 1 question tho, how you recoded your voice, what mic you use, Sound nice and clear. Thanks
Thank You ... I will be buying the 2021 Scout this weekend :)
Keep trying Spite, eventually you may find a bike that the Sportster is better than, I suggest you try pre -1950 bikes,
Enjoyed the video. Scout bobber was/is my first bike. I'd love to see your guys take on the new RS Thruxton vs The BMW RnineT.
Why compare would you compare an 883 to a 1200 when a sportster 1200 exists? Scout 60 vs 883 would be a lot more honest. The Indian would win either way but this is super misleading.
I bet you could upgrade the front brakes on the Scout pretty easily. The HD has to have upgrades but the Scouts engine doesn’t need anything. It would seem you’d have more money going to upgrades with the HD. Sad HD can’t get there bikes to that level of performance stock so you could spend your money on making it look the way you want it to.
Great video guys! ✌️
But which bike costs more
I have a 2016 scout that I bought used. I love it for daily driving and short highway trips to the next city. I noticed that 3rd gear does shake a bit after 50mph but it might just be because its been abused a bit. Either way, I do like it better than my buddy's Harley 1200 sportster. as far as seats, I would recommend a Mustang seat. It's a bit thinner but thicker padding and puts you about 3/4 inch lower with a bit more butt area.
The Scout bogs down some at the beginning b/c it doesnt redline until 8300 RPM so you get into the power band at ~4000 RPM
damn yammie I can't believe you got sponsored by Rogaine.
I love your new lovely locks
Uncle Spite, holdin it down while Yammie Chan is dropping bikes in the snow lol.
I'll take either, draw my name already.... I'd think both are great out here in West Texas on these big open roads, but I don't want to take a long trip on either. I like having a windshield and luggage. But having either one for an afternoon or weekend ride would be awesome.
First two upgrades are the saddle and the rear shocks on the Scout. I keep hearing that, once that's done, no bike in its class really compares. I hope to be getting one this year. Adding some 444 shocks and a Corbin saddle.
I really wanted a new scout, but couldn't find a dealer around me that had one in stock without major dealer markup. So I bought a one year used sportster from ironically an Indian dealer for 5 grand less.
As soon as my AMC tendies come through I'll gladly add a scout to the stable.
Hope u hit the 1 mil milestone papa yam and uncle spite and the crew
Yammie checked out on this one, classics can't cruise w them busa boiz in dem tripple digitz 🤣
I’m liking Spite’s gear shirt. I want one now
Looking to get my motorcycle license soon just got my cdl and this is my next step. Any suggestions on going about it or bikes themselves? Tia.
The scout runs circled around the harley both straight and in a corner. The drawbacks is suspension travel and a seat. Both of which that can be easily fixed.
So spite with another “I’m a Harley guy and nothing else FEELS as good” from the always “honest” spite. Spite loves Harleys so much he bought a KTM. Sad Harley can’t even get their trolls to buy their motorcycles 🤦♂️. What a pity😔. By the way my 2019 Scout is by far the best cruiser I’ve ever owned🤘
Worth mentioning there is a 1300 option in the aftermarket for the scout 60 and or 1200
Rode for about 20 years then took a hiatus for another 20. Now at age 66 seriously wanting a new bike. Smallish guy- 5'9" 220lb-. Been looking at Scout sixty, Kawasaki Z900RS and other mid-size cruisers. Any suggestions and why? Thank you.
5:52 listen to the difference of the cams between the two. The HD takes 2-3 times longer to wind down after revving compared to the Indian.
The New Guy sounds just like Yam! LOL
I’m 6’5” and own an Indian Rogue. Totally comfortable, just push the apes forward, add highway bars with legs and you’re golden.
My grandpa used to tell me that he would have to carry a wrench whenever he rode his old Harley. Some of the nuts and bolts would vibrate loose
Yam Master Pube Blaster! And no nickname ass having Spite! I just completed my MSF course and got the endorsement because I watched 10,000 of your videos and picked up how important it was. They told me only like 40% of riders even have them. You should do a vid on this subject. You can buy most motorcycles and even get insurance on some without an endorsement. Wild!
Well done comparison. I would argue that the mods for the Scout make it fit the larger riders. They are do for a refresh. Perhaps they (Indian) will address the cornering issues. When a Sportster can out corner you, you have problems. Again, good job guys.
Harleys need to use more aluminum and carbon fiber for their pricing
I agree they are pricing themselves out of the market for what you are getting. I’ve always loved Harley but at some point you are just buying a name and nostalgia. Unfortunately I don’t see the younger generation buying a Harley. RIP
Spite!! Where did you get that t-shirt???? Please tell us! Btw, the Scout 60 may have been a better comparo if it was available.
How tall are you bro? Is it comfortable enough to ride out a full tank?
Talking about the first bro with red/blonde hair.
Do you think a Narrower front tire would better the cornering ?
FINALLY I've been waiting for this quality content
Did you shut the bike off with your knee like I did twice on my moms scout? That key fob is in the WRONG area in my opinion. But the bike runs great for sure
Which one is better for a first time rider?
I test rode the Indian Scout today (6-9-21) and I absolutely loved it. It was peppy and zippy and so Fun to ride. I thought it was a great entry level, first-bike. I didn't feel the shocks or the engine presented any problem whatsoever. In fact, I was very impressed by its handling and engineering. It is a small bike, light and nimble and again, it sure was fun to ride. I only rode it 15 minutes but the Scout sure earned my respect. I'm not an advanced rider. Great bike for newbies. I've owned two Harley's (briefly), but since I have discovered Indian bikes, I'm certain I'll be buying one very soon. A Scout or a Springfield.
any review for the triumph bobber black? or comparison with harley 883 or scout bobber
Still no Yamaha Bolt content😔
"Cars don't accelerate the way bikes do"
Car in front Tesla....
love them both!
2:06 we can see the remnants of Yammie's boot on the pipe
The scout 60 would be a much better comparison.
The sixty would kill it, too
Man, I just love the Scout! That bike legit screams "badass"! Unfortunately I could never get one cause where I live, there's literally none of them
The Indian scout is my favorite bike aestheticly. It's bold, clean, and yet still holds the larger styling of larger bikes twice It's price.
Question if I may short male here for those who have a scout how uncomfortable will I be? Seeing as I keep hearing that the bars a bit too forward 5'5
even comparison would be a bone stock 883 with a bone stock scout 60 or put the same new rear shocks on the scout that you put on the 883.
8:22 spite finally won a race!
Ok so imagine this: a stretched grom. I think i saw one driving by today
I been planning to buy a scout bobber once i get more money. For the seat, i heard real good things about the saddlemen seat on this bike. Also heard good things about the indian comfort seat but im planning to go with the saddlemen.
I ve scout bobber, and I won't trade it for no other bike. The seat you are right on the point. It is not the most comfortable, but that is an easy fix. Just change it as I did. As for the vibration on Harleys, well, you can't change that 😅.
My third bike is a Sportster and when I bought I was shocked how much better is it's cornering ability compared to my previous Suzuki Boulevard. The one thing that I don't like about it are the brakes, I had to re-learn breaking to think more ahead compared to the Suzuki. Other thing that they mentioned was vibration. Yes it is vibrating but it is a rubber mounted engine so 1. it is not tiring and 2. it smooths out when you switch in to the right gear. The Indian is a beauty, too bad that the design of the new Sportster S is nowhere near. With the EVO Sporty HD had the excuse that it is an old model but after Indian showed them how to make a really nicely designed classic-looking modern bike I feel the new Revolution Sportster S is a bit of a failure of catching up with them.
That scout motor comes right off of 2017 victory octane. That motor was going to be th shift of victory from a cruiser orientated bike to Polaris sport bike and Indian its cruiser line. That engine was also developed from Polaris pikes peak attempts... check out the results from those races
I feel like Josh is becoming Spite's apprentice in these videos lol
I would pick the sportster, a used one can be had for $5k easily. Yes it is not as good as the scout, but I would like to work on the sportster more due to simple design, and availability of parts. I would get an 883, and turn it into a 1275, get it a comfortable seat and some z or mini apes handlebars
Right there at @12:30 is how I feel on my little 250 Yamaha against everything else on the road. What can I say, it's a great beginner bike.
The video IS amazing, very comprehensive. However, I do think a more appropriate comparison for this would be the Harley VRod and the Scout.
Scout bobber and indian challenger owner. Nothing but miles and smiles here! Have a few reviews coming on my channel. Gonna be fun!
I think the scout bobber is a good beginner bike, a lot of riders have started on it. Any bike is a bad first bike if you use all the throttle (except for the grom)
So 883 is slow. Is the Vulcan s the way to go?
