Sheikh Asim Al Hakim a Saudi Arab based Mufti has issued a fatwa both on youtube and twitter calling it haram. The problem is said youtube pays you for the ads that show up on the channel and not the watchtime or contents of the channel. Almost all the ads contain women and music which makes the earning haram. Till date there is no filter in youtube that allows you to run only Sharia complaint ads.

When you know for 100% that his earning are haram we can not give him for rent. Similarly with youtube ads. CZcams ads contains haram music women etc and we know that it contains haram ads. As mufti shb saying youtubera should give some%amount as sadqa to pure his imcome... Its mean if someone have a saving account or he is getting something in the form of haram, he should give some amount as a sadqa.. To pure it's income for the purpose of being halal?

میں کہتا ہو کہ کوٹیشن بنانا ایک آرٹ ہے۔ سیل کرنا ایک آرٹ ہے۔ غرض ہر کام کی اسپیشیلٹی آرٹ ہے۔ ایسے فتوی نویسی بھی علم سے زیادہ آرٹ ہے جو ایک لمبی محنت اور مشقت کے بعد آتا ہے۔ اس میں اخلاص ہی مفتی کو حق پر رکھتا ہے۔
لہذا سب سے پہلے کسی مسلمان کو کسی بھی مسلک کے مفتی کو اسکی حثیت کی وجہ سے اپنے سے بلند سمجھتے ہوئے بات کو سننا چاہئے۔ پھر نہ سمجھ ائے تو اپنی مرضی کے مفتی سے پوچھ سمجھ لے۔ اعتراض کرنا شیطان کا کام ہے۔ جب خود کے پاس علم اور مرتبہ نہ ہو۔ اور اگر ہو تو کھل کر سامنے بیٹھ کر اعتراض کرے۔

You tube shows add of dramas, movies not the tofee and shampoo ads only. It is policy of google to show advertisement based on the country policy so in west which contributes maximum profit for CZcams they show most of the advertisements selling pork, wine, gambling, etc..

I understand that if you use CZcams for your regular skill or profession which allows you to earn money by halal way, it should be allowed. But if your profession or skill is not for sale , and it is for "fe sabeel Allah" , earning through CZcams should become questionable.
