Have you ever done a puzzle challenge like this? How many puzzles do you think you would get through?
I'd love to try but I'd spend 12 hours on the one puzzle 😂😂
Hah! I'd only get through 2-3 1000 piece puzzles. I'm not the fastest.
Edit: But if we're talking 500 piece puzzles, I'd say 6-8. :)
I’ve never done a challenge like this before but if I did I think I would only go through 2-3 puzzles of 1000 pieces 😂 I give up very easily
I am slow like a turtle🐢🐢🐢...probably one!🤣🤣🤣 With my OCD tendencies...I have to prepare...in order to prepare. Makes everything so slow!🧩🧩🧩 500 puzzle...definitely would get more done. I thought we were doing 1,000 piece.
I can usually do a 500 piece puzzle in less than 2 hours, so maybe 5 in 8 hours.
What about setting up multiple puzzles around the apartment and only working on each for 20 mins before you have to move on? I wonder if the switching would make it hard to focus or feel refreshing? Would def need a camera person tho.
that will be craazyyy🤯
Karen: “Solving puzzles for 12 Hours.”
Me: “Overthinking for 12 Hours.”
Would you ever consider streaming while completing puzzles? I would gladly watch it all the way!!
That'd be neat, but quiet. She gets quiet when puzzling because she's concentrating. That's why she pauses when addressing the camera.
@@keriezy honestly I'd still watch it just to have on in the background
Omg yes! I'd love to watch that too🙏
💯💯💯
We could all do puzzles together!
Hi Karen! I used to do jigsaw puzzles as a child and I haven't done one for over a decade. Because of you, I ordered a new puzzle and it's arriving Wednesday! I'm so excited and wanted to share with you. Happy puzzling!
I love that! Have fun with it!
I love it how she pets the puzzlez when shes done, like "pat-pat, welcome to existance, beautiful puzzle". I cnow its to flaten the pieces but still cute
God i wrote "cnow" where was my brain when i wrote this-
I really appreciate that you reach out to the puzzle companies for comment when you encounter an issue with a puzzle, and you still give us, the viewers, an honest review. It’s very fair and professional of you.
Since I got better at puzzles I stopped buying “500” piece ones because I found them too easy but seeing this had made me want a few quick jigsaws in my collection.
I love when people speak out about getting help when your mental health isn't at its best! There used to be so much shame in getting therapy and it's great to see that stigma going away! I always love your videos!
i love how she calls puzzles that took her 2 hours easy puzzles 😂😂
she really is the puzzle queen👸👑
I did a 2,000 piece puzzle of the evolutions of Eevee, and it was a lot easier to do than some of the 500 piece ones I've done in the past.
@@kyragleffe3305 really thats weird i guess it really depends on the puzzle picture
@@mariyamedical4051 it does.
@@kyragleffe3305 wheredid you get it? i really need t do it
@@NoxslashNyx you can find it online. I've been finding all my pokemon puzzles at Walmart
Her: does 11 puzzels in 12 hours.
Me: still strugling on the sides and corners of a 100 piece puzzle
I am that Art Heaux that is LITERALLY in love with Rifle Paper Co. And they have a jigsaw puzzle? UMMM YASS!
Did you see the colab they did with Keds? 😍
Art Heaux lol!!
@@adriennegonzales2636 No. That sounds interesting.
6.08 pieces per minute.
I can't imagine putting a piece in every 10 seconds
Would have been a perfect challenge for quarantine
Karen, thanks to you I’ve found a passion for puzzles. It is my birthday tomorrow and I got so many puzzle as birthday gifts and Im so goddamn happy about it. Thank you for this channel and everything you do ❤️❤️
I can’t even imagine doing that much puzzling in 1 day!! It took me 3 days to do the Blue Kazoo triangle gradient puzzle with 3 hours in between. I literally finished it before I clicked on this video!!! 😂😂
Are you saying you only took three hours in a three-day period to sleep and eat besides doing the puzzle? And how many pieces does that puzzle have?
In each day I spent 3 hours doing the puzzle in my spare time, so overall 9 hours!! The Triangles Gradient Puzzle is 1000 pieces and it was my first gradient 2D puzzle so I was proud of it.
@@TomLegobro21 that's an awesome time for that puzzle! Keep in mind that Karen has done jigsaws since she was a kid and she now literally puts them together for a living, so I don't think it's fair for the rest of us to compare our times to hers :) you definitely should be proud of that accomplishment!
@@JustAnne27 Thanks, have you done the puzzle yourself? Also I did do the 540 colour Sphere Puzzle back in Easter and I did it a bit quicker than Karen since I’ve done quite a few more 3D spheres than she has so it makes sense both ways.
I once took all of the "500" piece puzzles that I have in my house about 15 and went to my room to do them all. It wasn't all in one day but that was a fun week. Not to mention I was able to listen to quite a few audiobooks which is my ideal thing to do while puzzling. Overall it was really fun and I would definitely do it again!
I really love this challenge, I would be happy to see it yearly!
500. I am so impressed! I will do a 500 piece and a 300 piece in the same day but can't sit as long as you can. I love the quality of the art in the puzzles you chose.
I'd be lucky to finish the first three puzzles in twelve hours!
I would be lucky enough to finish the first puzzle in a week.
Ive got twins under 2 and a cat. Living my puzzle life vicariously through you until it's safe for me to do puzzles again. I was a puzzle piece eater as a young dumb toddler so I'm expecting the karma coming from my own kids.
I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and can finally do puzzles again. I put them on a high counter and work while I watch them play. My biggest issue now is they want to help. And my 4 year old will often hijack them when I'm almost done. But I'm glad she likes puzzles.
That's some commitment! Can't wait to watch.
This is such a satisfying video. Everytime you do the completed puzzle hand sweep it brings on a sigh & comfort.
I'm starting to think I sort too much at the beginning of my puzzles. Going to try your spread-it-out technique. I suspect you see colors much clearer than most of us. Good video, as always. Thanks!
I am a registered blind puzzler. It takes me significantly longer than you! A 500 piece puzzle I have to work on in 5 to 10 minute stretches and usually takes me 2 to 3 months to complete.
I need more of these!! I dunno why but watching karen do puzzles is the most calming thing ever, it's interesting yet I can fall asleep to it. It's relaxing yet stimulating
My body would not be able to handle 12 hours of puzzling 😂 maybe I could do one 500 puzzle in a sitting but that's about it! So well done!!!
Though i am about 500 years old and haven't done jigsaws since I was a kid, your style, presentation, comments and observations about your experience and puzzling in general keeps me entertained.
Edited to add: Also my cat can't keep his eyes off your hand movement over the puzzles.
*karen starts her sponsored segment and is spreading goodness and positivity*
me: you go girl!!
I was here at 27k subs! You have grown soooo much!
Thank you for watching my videos!
I was thinking the same, been here since 35k! Love puzzle videos on Sunday before i do mine for the day 😄
I had the exact same problem with the better co round puzzle. Really frustrating, I even got them to send me a new one that had the same issue. Hate that you had the same issue, but glad I wasn’t alone. They sent me a rectangular puzzle as a replacement, great customer service. Still frustrating.
If you're thinking of making this an annual thing, it might work well as a streaming fundraiser or something, on top of speed puzzling. Make an event of it.
I just imagine the puzzle factory, and someone runs up to Jeff Factory, Boss of the Puzzle Factory. "Boss! We've got a problem!" "What?" "Karen Puzzles had problems with our puzzle!" "SHUT IT DOWN! SHUT IT ALL DOWN!!!! Forward the call to my office. I'll have to apologize to her myself."
"Hey, there, just a few questions on this round puzzle!" "I'm so sorry, we'll fix it, we'll send you a new version, it's Covid! It's destroying everything!!! Please forgive us!" "Sounds great, have a good day, Covid is a jerk!"
:D
I can’t believe you got that many done. Brilliant. 52 minutes for the first one, it would take me 52 hours. Well done you. There is no doubt you are the puzzle master. I’ve never done even a 500 puzzle in a day.
I love how you ALWAYS ask yourself ‘why do I do this to myself’ or something in that ilk. These are great 500 piece puzzles and you have introduced me to many different manufacturers. Thank you
I am so glad that you struggled with the Lucky Charms puzzle! I worked on it for three days and it is now rolled up in the closet waiting for me to regain my patience!
I just discovered your channel through a friend in my puzzle group on FB. Your videos are so much fun and enjoyable! I do puzzles every day. I even have an 8 foot long shelving unit with about 400 puzzles on it! Your videos are great to watch while I'm puzzling or when I'm in need of some puzzling time. I just wanted to leave you a comment to tell you I think you're awesome!
Loved your personal challenge 💕. I have not done a “500” puzzle yet. Working on a 359 puzzle now from dollar store. Learning a lot watching you. Especially to have fun with it. 🤗
I keep looking at the Rifle Paper Co. puzzles in Barnes & Noble and I love them, but I don't want to spend that much on a 500 piece puzzle that I'm going to finish so quickly. Wish they had 1000 pieces!
Thank you so much for reminding me how much I like to do puzzles. Definitely not as quick as you, but on my 3rd puzzle in two weeks.
Just ordered a bunch of cloudberries puzzles. Guess you just gave me a new addiction :-)
You should look into setting the world record for most assembled 500 piece puzzles in 24 hours. That would also make a fun video.
Well done for connecting over 4,000 pieces in twelve hours. How do you keep coming up with these unusual challenge ideas? I'd never have thought of "Let's do twelve hours worth of "500" piece puzzles". But then, that's why you're the professional and I'm not, I guess.
You need an adjustable height table so you can stand and puzzle! Or maybe get a chair that also adjusts so you can sit at different angles!
i would probably finish 500 puzzles in 500 hours!
i loved the gradient puzzle with the little circles in it. i want that puzzle so bad
A twelve-hour puzzle session sounds super fun. I might have to try that sometime
I’ve never once been able to finish a puzzle in one day
Dear Karen, I do hate puzzles. I find them frustrating and I have difficulty imagining what the piece I am looking for should look like. 300 piece puzzle takes me longer than a standard 1000 type takes you but... For some reason I turn to puzzles when I am emotionally distressed. They keep me busy and block negative emotions. Every time when pieces fit it really is satisfying. Also, thanks to you I realized that I was starting with very hard puzzles. Way too repetitive with tiny details on them etc. Some images or paintings I like don't scale well or look terrible as puzzles. You helped me discover that there's so much more in the "puzzle universe" than nature photos or images of famous paintings. Thank you. Your enthusiasm is infectious.
PS: I love Antonio Gaudi"s tiles' images on puzzles. B.
I puzzle standing due to back issues. I'm new at puzzling, so it still takes nearly 500 hours to finish one 🤣.
'nearly 500 hours'??? So it takes you roughly 20 days (not including time to do other things)? Also, how big are your puzzles -- 1,000 pieces?
@@vegskater1741 I do 1000 piece puzzles and usually work on them in the evenings for 3 hours or so. I'm getting faster, tho. I actually used 500 because it was the code word Karen gave us. 🤗
I love how you take the time to do those statistics ! You're absolutely great Karen ❤
I've only gotten into the video until the sponsored part and I feel like that's such a good match for your channel! For many of us, puzzles or even your videos about puzzles can be a very therapeutic thing, so helping us viewers further into seeking mental health support is such a good idea
for those wondering; it averaged out to about 6 pieces per minute.
During lockdown here, I've pretty much taken this on as well! I was really sick, and getting stuck into a puzzle was my first step during recovery to use my brain again. However, normie that I am, I would spend all day on one puzzle, including one five-hundred piece one from Lemonade Pursuits, which was my first time puzzling without using the image as reference. Actually the one you didn't do in the video! Their puzzles, which I ordered after seeing on your instagram, are so lovely to do.
Ooooh! I also spent a couple days (twice) doing Magic Puzzle Company puzzles. I would love to see you review them, as they're seriously fun! I'm dying to do the third, but I can't get it where I live right now, so I'm waiting for a friend in the US to take pity on me and send it over.
This video was crazy omg! 12 hours non stop! You’re truly a warrior, loved the video 🥳 I’d definitely do this challenge if I had enough puzzles lol, and I’ve never done a 500 puzzle 🧩 so it would be interesting
stumbled across your channel recently . i have now watched most of your puzzling , its so satisfying , your so good at the puzzles x
Thank you for putting in -500-% effort for every video! Your videos are honestly my favorites on CZcams. So relaxing and informative; I have learned about so many great puzzle companies
A few weeks ago i did a _500_ piece puzzle that i wish had been more because i loved doing the image but it went way too fast! Im definitely gonna look into some of the companies featured in this vid though
That cascade 500 puzzle looks so fun for beginners (aka me)!!!
I recently discovered your channel and while I have never successfully completed any jigsaw puzzle above the beginner level, you have inspired me to try again! Really enjoying the videos, you have such a fantastic enthusiasm and great fun watching you puzzling. Now I must order a puzzle...
My first Betterco puzzle is the same paint swatches that you do in the video. Kudos to you for finishing it. I threw in the towel and wish I hadn’t bought it. 🙁 But I also did the Lemonade Pursuits puzzle and loooved it! Definitely going to check out the Areaware puzzles. Thanks for taking on the challenge and reviewing them all!
This feels calming, productive and fun. Great for being a study buddy.
I've been watching a relatively new puzzle channel called Maxine the Puzzle Queen lately. She did something similar to this in a video series called "Tote Tap Out."
I adore Karen’s energy and commitment and she’s got me wanting to start puzzles, especially 500’s! Anybody know of any good companies in the U.K. that do puzzles similar to Areaware? They look absolutely stunning but I can’t justify the shipping!
I’m definitely going to be purchasing the Rifle Paper Co puzzle, the design on that is so beautiful! I definitely could not do as many 500 piece puzzles as you did in 12 hours! That takes a lot of discipline
I really like that circle puzzle, it looks really cool. Shame that the quality wasn't very good though. I really hope they did address the problems as you mentioned towards the end of the video.
Would love to see this kind of video again! It was so fun, and it sounds like you would have more fun as well if you did the preparation and filming improvements you mentioned in the end!
I LOVE this! I’m a beginner puzzler and 500 👀 piece puzzles are my favorite right now. I’m super grateful for the reviews!
💚💛❤️💙💜
In twelve hours I will finish but with my eyes!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I once did 3 1,000 piece puzzles in a row but I challenged myself to do them 1 on top of the other so it made it a little harder. They were puzzles I'd done before though so I kinda knew where the pieces went. Can't say I've done any 500 piece puzzles before.
Wish I had 500 puzzles! Doing puzzles all day definitely sounds like fun to me.
OK. 500! Seriously, more than one puzzle in a day?? I think not. You are amazing!
"500" piece puzzles are very relaxing to do. I thoroughly enjoyed your challenge, Karen. Thanks so much for sharing:)
I have never done "500" piece puzzles but this 12-hour challenge was great! I can't wait to see next year's challenge and compare. I plan on trying a puzzle day over my next long weekend! Great work and quality as always!
A round puzzle from BetterCo was my first purchase from them. After putting it together I swore I was done buying from them, but I’m really glad to hear that you like their rectangular puzzles! I am so drawn to some of the images they have.
How fun!!!! I think my favorite out of this group of 500 pc puzzles is the cascade one, but I truly loved all your choices!!!
Girl my back hurts after sitting for 2 hours, for less for 12 hours! No way ill be able to do that!
I enjoyed your video about these 500 piece puzzles done over an 8 hour challenge. I hope you make this an annual event so we can see your progress. Nice work Karen!
Even 500 piece puzzles would take me at least couple days to finish, if it didn't have big areas of one color in it. I'm surprised you weren't more sore afterwards
Somehow I became a bit haughty when I moved on to 1000 piece puzzles. But I think I will force myself to enjoy the 500 piece ones again. 🤔🥰👍
I love her dedication and commitment and also that she is so good at it
500
puzzling should become a sport and Karen can be the commentator with those stat organization skills
I am anxiously awaiting the 24 hour challenge with 500 piece puzzles!!! 😀😀‼️
Honestly well done Karen, the thought of this gives me such a headache tho because as someone who suffers from migraines I could never imagine doing this! Getting migraines really sucks as an artist and a puzzler I just always remember to never push myself even if I’m tempted! Anyway thank u for letting me experience this in a way through you! 😊
500 love watching you puzzling Karen ,thank you for another great video
Loved this video! I could watch this kind of content over and over again. 500 pieces is my favorite piece count as I am a mom and don't have a lot of time. The puzzles you picked were so fun to look at and, of course, you made it look so easy and effortless to do all of them even though you said - and I can imagine - some of them being harder than you think. Overall just an absolutely satisfying video ❤! Thank you, Karen 🙏!
I would like to do a 12 hour challenge with 500 piece puzzles. I would also like to say, when I started watching your videos in late 2019 I was inspired to get back into doing puzzles. The last time I’ve done a puzzle was in 2011. I forgot the enjoyment it gave me doing puzzles 🧩 so I would like to say is thank you for posting your fun puzzling videos.
What beautiful puzzles! I used to love spending the day doing jigsaws, but back & shoulder problems have really cut down the amount of time I can work, so my limit is one 500 🧩 piece puzzles at a sitting.
This was really cool. I just started getting into puzzles over Christmas and am now obsessed. Hope to do puzzles that are bigger than 500 pieces in the future!🤗
Admire your puzzle stamina and patience :D
You are literally my favorite Karen. Also I LOVE that shirt that you are wearing at the end.
"Have you ever done more than one puzzle in a day?" - Well, could you rephrase that to *in a year?
500. I don't think I could ever do a challenge like that! As much as I love doing puzzles, my brain would revolt at a certain point. You sure gave your brain a workout!
You averaged ~1 piece every 12 seconds or ~6 pieces a minute or ~365 pieces an hour.
This was fun to watch! I usually do 1000 pc puzzles but struggle with poor lighting at home and general distractions. I've been working on the rock and tree background of a waterfall puzzle for about 3 weeks now!
I wish I could watch you live streaming this while studying or working. This would be so nice.
I really enjoy watching your videos, thank you :)
Man, all of those 500 piece puzzles looked really cool!
Oooo the Lucky Charms puzzle looks so fun!
Honestly I could sit and watch this all day x I don’t have much room where I am living atm so can’t do puzzles x your so quick at puzzles xx
Thank You!!! In a Funk but This Made me Smile. Love and Peace❤✌
Well done! I so rarely do 500 piece puzzles but this makes me want more of those.
