@@mrartdeco when you wear the tigers you feel they are custom made for your feet.....They don't clamp into your toes like sambas which makes sambas uncomfortable imo. Also the ortholite insole makes tigers more comfortable. Sambas may look cooler but you may enjoy wearing tigers more...which is the whole point of wearing shoes....
A better gauge against the Mexico 66's would be the Adidas SL72's as they are both designed and built for runners during their eras and in these times now also worn casually. Sneaker culture only built their connection based on fashion and sales.
They run wider and longer than sambas imo. I wear 8 in sambas and they're pretty snug. I wear thick socks with the tigers but still a bit roomy. They do have slimmer sole and u got wide feet so I get what you're saying to size up..But if you have narrow feet, size half down.
what size are you on the sambas ? because Im assuming they sort of feel the same as the Mexico 66. Normally I go half a size down on the sambas but I just wanna know what size to get for the 66s. Thanks
Uhm should be bro. As far as i know this is a unisex pair. Just get your equivalent size in women’s (subtract 1.5 from women’s US size to get equivalent men’s US size)
Nah, sambas and the tigers are made to rock with tailored slim old school dickies and jeans that are hemmed a few inches above your ankle. Baggy pants looks like trash with either of these shoes.

I am a 7.5 on the Sambas and got an 8 on the 66s because after trying the 7.5, it felt so snug hence the reason I went with size 8.

I would say go for an 8 bro because vans run a little bigger in my experience while the mexico 66 run a little narrow.
