Dwele definitely should have been a bigger star. His 2012 album got lost in the shuffle amongst a variety of great R&B albums that year.
Subject and Some Kinda are classic albums and they never get old.

What happened is he has found that happy medium.. He's made amazing music.. Been a part of huge songs...but r&b changed.. Period.. But now he is eating off his hard work and can still make alot of money.. There is something to be said about quality especially when it comes to music ... It never goes out of style... He will be just fine.

Amd each track just spoke to a different phase of what a man goes through throughout a Journey of Finding love. Now I didn't know that as a Young 18 year old. I just liked the Music. But now as a Grown 30+ year old man. Hearing the same songs I understand the Full meaning behind each song. And It outlined the Journey fully. A real soundtrack to my love life From Single Young Man to Grown Husband and soon to be father. It just resonated yo.....

Subject album was a classic, still listening...
He always works on new music. He was almost finished with an album around 2015 and then his son was born. He didn't want to tour as much at the time. Then the pandemic happened. Then he started getting back out there. Then unfortunately, his mother died. Who knows when he'll put new music out but he's got a lot he's sitting on. He's on the road right now.

I have a vast musical collection and still reach for and thoroughly enjoy the Dwele albums I have, (Subject, Some Kind of...., Sketches of a Man, Greater than One ) 💥

Sadly I never knew brody was from the D, would've supported bring from my hometown. I listened to Dwele but didn't follow him as I should've. Those 2000s were loaded w/musical talents, so I guess I slept on him a little. However I'm rocking heavy w/him now and actually have tickets to his upcoming ATL show.
