He is the real deal. I met him last year at Omega. I was going through a really hard time and he laid hands on me. I can tell you that it looked like a hug but it was God. Rob Bell wasn't God but I felt God. My life since then has changed, no better, not worse. It just changed.
I have certainly wnjoyed Rob's Nooma swries from back in the day. The education on how Christ's words and actions were speaking to the Jewish people and how it can help us Gentiles understand him better has be great. I dont really have anythijg against anything Rob has said over the years. I think I'd prefer to think what he said in Love Wins is right. It's like the people who want to label him a heretic are hurt by things he's said. The idea he talked about where people who are outside the New Jerusalem still have a chance to get in eventually sounds good to me... Maybe because I personally feel like I've pushed God/Jesus away sometimes and want to know that I can be forgiven and accepted. I'd say I lean towards Rob being more right than wrong about things. I think I'd certainly enjoy talking to him. Best of blessings be his with the rest of his journey.
Rob Bell used to be hard to understand because he'd say / write one thing, and when questioned, would squirm and dodge. Now, he's hard to understand because he doesn't seem to say anything meaningful at all. I don't recall the last time I've heard someone use so many words to say so little.
I used to love to read his books and watch his Nooma videos and then he seemed to be off somewhat with the accepting of all lifestyles and what not. Now that I heard his views on Psychedelics and Richard Rohr it all makes sense to me. I also believe that there is much more to know about Christ, eternity and Gods love, but it seems that the further away he gets from the Lordship of Christ, the more confusion he is spouting. Reminds me of some friends back in the day that were drug burnouts - also psychedelic victims. Hope he has a encounter with the real thing and then the "mysterious ways" will show for the deception that they are. God loves him and I believe he helps us all.
Yes, his faith is changing. He isn't really christian and its his walk, NOT yours. you can do how you see fit in your life. He has said many times why he left church.

Rob has had an important impact on me through the decades and I appreciate him and his work. I do think he’s drifted off the farm in some ways, but there is no denying the gifted insight he possesses and the brilliant ways he communicates. But all the cosmic Christ inclusive love talk ends quickly when it comes to people he doesn’t like. Specially, those who adhere to more historically biblical formularies, or conservatives, or right wing traditionalists. Funny how that is consistent with all progressives.
Ryan you are a fantastic interviewer. Very well prepared and deep questions. Rob appears to me to be a little too transcendent in a way that makes him seem unserious about any topic. Jesus is the answer. I’ve kept my eyes solely on a relationship with him and doing his will and he has transformed me fully. No need for side spiritual shortcuts.
Listening to Rob Bell reminds me of how Joseph Smith, Charles Russell, Baháʼu'lláh, and others have deeply misled people away from Jesus and into the vague oblivion of the spiritual "universe". This is what a modern-day serpent, of the garden, sounds like trying to untether from the purity and rootedness of Jesus. Ryan, stop gassing this guy up. Run bro. #deception101
When you hear someone profound speak, somewhere in their commentary it hits right through to the heart. This is just nonsensical drivel. Rob bell is two sandwiches short of a picnic, but hey he's found a way to monetize his weirdness.
Rob has just sailed into the nonsense of self-love, self-deifying, self-everything... bankrupt and so sad. This is nothing new. All the heretics of old have past through this land and faded into oblivion.
Bell seems confused and uses so many contradictory terms. Not sure why someone would buy a book from someone who seems to be so unsure of everything! Only writing a book for money.
Lol Rob looks so thoroughly bored to be talking to you. From Oprah and fame, to Ryan Kohls 1k subscriber youtube channel. The "mighty" has fallen. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving person.
Really? You know this for a fact? And you felt the need to leave the words declaring this final judgement? Awfully arrogant of you to come to that conclusion. Which is better, to destroy life, or to preserve it? And which direction are you headed by saying such things?

To all who judged Rob Bell here Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye?

What did Jesus do when he prayed in the garden? What did he do after rising from the tomb? Ascended/transcended.

Dangerous to leave Jesus out of our testimony. Isn't that one of the signgs of deception. This is a false teacher. Very, very concerning.

He represents Jung well. Lewis says nothing is original, relax bro.

If he rejects the clear teaching of scripture, he will answer to God Almighty. Not my opinion, but rather what scripture teaches.
