I feel like lockdown made me forgor how to mask EMBRACE CRINGE BE FREE REJECT NORMALCY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH
I love how everyone in Phase Connect is taking the damn test lmao
FR the lockdown made me forgot how to act normally (I don't have the tism)
"little does he know" 💀 grandpa predicted her genetic
It's somewhat 1/4 your fault old man!
Shiina took the test multiple times to raise her score? Airi just aced it first try. Prove that she's a true born natural
by those standards, wemi is skipping grades
Shiina morphing into the Yippee absolutely killed me, great work as always mate!
Dayum, she's literally me bros...
Same

Real
It makes me really happy to see other people with the tism get a good following and community around them that just accept they're quirks. It's comforting.
Also glad that the phase symbol for tism is the yippee lmao.
I think we are beyond that timestamp of the internet of people bullying people for their "quirks" and illness, now we get bullied for our beliefs so it's a take some lose some situation
I mean the internet was the first place to really make it big with the Tism.
@@mantraki >beyond bullying people for their "quirks" and illness
Men are still bullied over weight and baldness.
Lolicons are still called names and shunned away by dpf-files and normies side with child grapists.
So nah.
Only because they are girls or girls with cute anime avatars, men with autism arent nowhere near as popular or liked by everyone else...
shiina is a cute girl,
tism just makes her cuter.
now imagine a 300lb balding, unkempt man acting like shiina.
tism doesn’t make you inherently good or bad, tism is just an amplifier every trait you have.
Does Shiina understand how adorable she is?
Especially in that hoodie, she looks so huggable
Sociability is just your ability to wear the right mask and follow the right script at the right time
as an autist myself, pretty much
Getting tested for autism is redundant if you own a Yu-Gi-Oh! bank card.
I used to sometimes rock back and forth like that while playing video games as a child. Not sure at what age I stopped, but I did it into my early teens at the very least.
16 is a cutiff point because of some weird neurological ish
If they aren’t at least just a little weird, are they really the ideal wifeable girlfailure? I thought not.
Shiina's very likable xD
Shiina is Shiina, I wouldn't want her to pretend to be someone else.
Keep on keeping on, Crabwoman.
I got the diagnosis because it got me disability benifits
based autismbux user
Bless the cute artistic crab
im on the very same spot as shiina, also normal enough that people cant tell its autism but just off enough that people dont like being with me. She's extremely lucky to have such a good community and co workers because i have only been able to make 1 friend in 12 years. The issue is that if i tell people beforehand that im autistic, they just infantilize me and it sucks ass.
0:34 "The pacing is weird when I talk" Mari Mari_EN is probably the biggest example of that 😂
Shina has mastered the uncanny valley!
She is highly likeable for a woman, stream persona anyway.
she is literally and unironically me fr fr
Hi Shiina
Hi Shiina
You're a cute crab? Want babies?
Please be patient, they have autism. And they're cute.
Based grandfather!
Never thought of Shiina as one of the artists...until she explained herself here
God she's so cute
Crab girl, stop. The relatability quotient is already dangerously high! (Please don't stop--and tell me more about your fountain pen and ink collection.)
All those quirks just make her enjoyable. I'm glad she's embracing it and just being Shiina.
I think, and this is purely speculation, that perhaps it is the case that we like her because of the quirks of being on the spectrum. Whether this is because we too are somewhere on the spectrum, knowingly or not, I am uncertain. However, I like to think this somehow ties in to something Lumi stumbled upon in one of her streams where chat divulged to her that men prefer a woman who is upfront and honest because we are unable or lack the patience to decipher their cryptic cues. Thus, a woman on the spectrum is preferable because there is little to no obfuscation or even nuance to parse through.
I just tell people my social skills withered from being stuck in a dark room with no human contact for an extended period during covid. Bonus points because it's half true, it's just it has nothing to do with covid.
"base debuff of autism"
...debuff?
Believe it or not but it is a debuff in the mysterious realm called the "outside of the house".
An SSD trapped in an era of floppy discs is viewed as a pariah, not a messiah
Its a min-max depending on the situation.
Functioning autism in women is a stat buff
it's only a debuff for "type a" character
Shiina: "I was worried as a streamer"
Who is going to tell her that most VTubers are at least with one foot in the spectrum or are on copium about it, I guess it's just part of a being a weeb.
I have not seen a streamer, man or woman, not be weird in some way.
@@Jokoko2828 well, after I got my official diagnosis my mother said that she saw traits of the arts on both herself and my dad.
Everyone has a little bit of the art, it's just that streamers often have it amplified by working from home, also, streaming being originally associated with gaming might also play a factor, because that's what we do...
This is the kinda representation I’ve been looking for
It doesn’t change anything but it helps me do better
Kani oshi has me questioning my own mental state
God-tier Kani-oshi, super qt 🦀
Yeah, I didn't even know about it being a thing when I was diagnosed, back when it was called Asperger's. It explained a lot but, it didn't really help any. I mean they gave me some meds, and some of them kind of helped.
But only a little bit. I mean it's nice to at least need a little bit more crap to happen before I have a stress induced ragefit meltdown, but they still happen. I get envious almost to the point of anger if I think too much about people with "weaponized autism". By that I mean the people who figured out how to take their obsessive hyperfocus in things and make it into a strength and a career.
I'm on disability cause I kept getting fired from every job basically just for being autistic, and my cousin suggested I could get disability so I did. I'm 40 years old and I have no idea what the hell I'm gonna do when my folks die.
This is suspiciously relatable....OH NO!
I have a theory that Autism is just being disconnected (or less connected than normal) from the human gestalt.
And by human gestalt I don’t mean that humans are connected psychically to one another but more are instinctively more in tune to decipher human faces and emotions from facial features, movements and tone of voice, and being autistic just means that the part of your brain that allows to see that is more absent than with “normal” people.
I don’t think it is a disease per se but a byproduct of selective evolution, it is more genetic than induced, in the modern world, people who are more focused and in tune in a given field will have a higher chance of success than people who are more well rounded.
I don’t think it is the next step in human evolution or anything as dramatic, it is just more favorable for modern times where highly specialized skills and people with very focused interests are, which is just a by product of the original divergence in the first place.
I say this as someone on the spectrum myself and as an MD.
True. Nature doing nature's thing in providing wide variety. Part of experimenting in natural selection.
We might think it's a liability until it's proven otherwise. It's a trade off for the good stuff.
ASD basically means that 6-14 months old child has a certain protein damaged, which is responsible for eliminating redundant overgrown synapses. Therefore, people on spectrum have hyperlinked brain with bigger amount of cells comparing to normal. Ofc there are severe cases, but if you're lucky enough, you'll get thinking ability based on longer logical sequences, S-tier combinatorics and other cognitive advantages. This is how human evolution/divergence described by you can work
Yeah, I figured out that autism is a lot like being on different brainwaves than normal people.
That could apply with being a sociopath or psicopath , i think that is more a general carasteristic with people with menta disorders o conditions.
@@hectordiazrodriguez7294 sociopaths and psychopaths can actually understand and decipher people’s emotions but they don’t have the hardware to fire up the same emotions in their brain, okay not both just psychopaths.
Sociopaths are able to form a connection but it is very rare, but they also have an inhibition problem which makes them unable to understand how the betterment of the whole is good for the individual.
ASD people can and do have empathy, they can feel what others are feeling, but the problem is they don’t know what others are feeling as they can’t decipher it. Three very different divergences but I can understand how it may seem difficult to differentiate them.
SHE’S JUST LIKE ME FR FR! Down to the people not liking you ;-;
Marine from Hololive also rocks back n forth when she uses home3d
She's so real for this...
Based
We love ya Shiina, you and your special brain.
Lmao I never noticed she did the Mew2King rocking back and forth tic😂 cute Meemaw, she is indeed very likeable❤
Of course Shiina mentions rocking back and forth as I am rocking back and forth in a chair. lmao.
it's so hard to learn to not mask after so many years of masking, I feel you
At least you have an excuse, I'm super weird and I dont have autism.
She's a vtuber, 90% of them have the tism
Too relatable, although it made me more pessimistic and self-conscious whenever I found out lol
What are we talking about here? Autism is the minimum requirement for Phase Connect
I’ve been considering getting myself looked at the last year or two
Shiina sounding real familiar
You know, it kinda makes sense. You tend to like people with similar traits. Most of my friends are on the spectrum, and Shiina's just... YES!
I've never been officially diagnosed, but I'm pretty sure I am. High-functioning, sure, but the *signs* are there.
Often-strange speech pattern, eye contact issues, obsessive to the point of exhaustion about ONE thing, (Asperger's?), and uneven emotional distribution.
Funny thing, though, it wasn't until I was listening to myself talk through a recording that it hit me, yet it was an old friend of mine who is actually diagnosed who called it first, over a DECADE prior.
Maybe I'll get a formal diagnosis one day.
The mistake is thinking anyone else has it any easier.
She wanted closure.
at 0:41 I am like "wait a minute; I also do that… am I autistic?" (tbh) probably not just because I have some thing in common with an autistic person do not mean I have autism (but it do suggest it), now back to my mechanical 3D modelling fun stuff (in case you wonder I create weapons for my game, I have already gathered Jatimatic pics but I am still working on adding more funs, Kalash's, MP5, Fals & G3 is also going into it, lots of fun but also slightly frustrating when it comes to human features, me likey metal)
I mask so good the neurologist thought i was normal, i totally get the, just enough to pass normal but not normal enough to avoid giving people the ich
Don't let her play Factorio
Again, Meemaw's the most normal artistic patient I've ever seen 😂
Thought she was acoustic
Honestly relatable, I go through a decision tree to navigate my life
Autism be damned my girl is still cute
getta rocking chair&forgeddaboutit!
Tysmconnect
Painfully relatable
I don't tell anyone. I haven't even told my family.
Another joins the Lia crew
...why does this sound so much like my anxiety.
this is the most relatable autistic TED talk I've ever heard
I wonder how biochemically similar adhd and the 'tism are. There's definitely some crossover.
she might be a rtrd, but she is a lovable one.
I feel pretty much all of that. Lotta of the same behaviors. All us tism people can do is accept and learn to manage it. And make all of the jokes about it
Nice kettle laugh
I used to do the rocking thing too until I got very conscious of it after my friend very bluntly said "stop humping my couch" while we were playing video games
That pained, fake laugh nearly always comes after she tells a lie or something highly uncomfortable, which is usually always a lie.
Now if only she was less boring and malded more lol
i was diagnosed with autism since i was around a baby
No wonder she's gf and wife material
How many normals she did say in this clip?
Mood
BRO SHE DOES THE SAME ROCKING THING I DO
2:47
**half life 1 resonance cascade sequence**
Such a boi crab
Shiina has the pattern of the normies memorized! That's my KANI OSHI!!!
I'm scared to get diagnosed anything lol
haha
Some people get the diagnosis on purpose to try and get disability check
1:16 bruh 😂
shit this sounds too familiar I might be acoustic or analog
Litteraly me.
yes another yippee creature
Shiina’s voice seems shaken
She's still getting over an illness
Do all phase girls just eventually evolve into Lia?
chicken cutlets
No way she has the mew2king tic
Meemaw is working on that Autism high score.
She is really one of the cutest gals in PC though. Autistic or not.
DO you get a certificate of authenticity??? Certificate of Autisticity maybe??? 😱😱😱
Bro I think I might be autistic now
I think there's still a stigma to autism that makes a lot of people hesitant to admit they're exhibiting symptoms. Truth is, a lot of the personality traits that draw people to Vtubing - be they a VTuber themselves or just a viewer - are part of the autism spectrum.
And it is in fact a spectrum, the vast majority of "autistic" people won't struggle too hard with normalcy, and extreme outliers, while more obviously visible, are just that, outliers. I was diagnosed with Asperger's as a child, a diagnosis that's today simply considered as being on the higher-functioning side of ASD, and 99% of my interactions are nothing unusual.
Hm... I'm noticing a trend with the women I like.
At this point, I'd be interested to see some scientific research about Vtubing and Autism. The amount of vtubers on the spectrum seems to be a much higher ratio than the general populace, and I'm curious about that.
0:44 you forgot the semicolons. your shiina's gonna get a compilation error
I never made a test because it's pretty obvious I ain't normal. Why bother 🤷♂️
I might have autism chat
Unironically, all jokes aside, how many phase girls are confirmed to be on the spectrum? It feels like *at least* a third.
I think it does a disservice for the actually severely autistic, we're talking the people who are nonverbal, can't live on their own, etc etc for people who are just mildly quirky to go and get their hand stamped with a "diagnosis" to the point where its something crazy like 1/30 people. At what point do we say its a personality type, not a disorder if its just the way a bunch of people are.
Honestly, it feels like people just want to feel special and attach a label to themselves. I've seen people who just have a simple personality quirk automatically assume they're autistic.
It's a spectrum. Even if a person is capable of being independent and mimics well, it doesn't mean they don't struggle with socializing. Neurotypicals can't even imagine what it means to have no empathy, to not be able to contextualize a situation, and how much it makes them angry
@@loginneophyte800 "mimics well"? Shiina is a professional entertainer with a job that requires her to interact with a live audience in a dynamic way and portray a character. I would argue her understanding of social cues and ability to socialize is *superior* to the average person's.
@@demonicspire1345 you may be right. We don't know the truth behind 2d avatar after all
