Delmoon Pens - Ravi Tiwari, the man who makes the full moon shine on Delhi

One of the tables that had fountain pen lovers going “ooh” and “aah” at the Chennai Pen Show 2024 was manned by the irreplaceable Ravi Tiwari of Delmoon Pens. This entity, a relatively new entrant in the world of fountain pen craftsmanship in India is taking the fraternity by storm and even a cursory look at the spread is enough to understand why.
Ravi Tiwari of Delmoon had spread a delectable menu that comprised everything - from pens sporting Japanese Urushi lacquer art to silver filigree work that is capable of taking the discerning aficionado’s breath away. What was most fascinating, however, was the price points at which these works of art were being offered for sale. As Ravi Tiwari of Delmoon himself put it, he has taken it up as a challenge to bring the best of artistry from around the world to Indian buyers at reasonable prices. The reason behind the move is simple - as a pen lover himself, he found the prohibitively restrictive prices at which anything that catches one’s fancy is available a big dampener and he wanted to change the rules of the game. Not an easy task, even if one were to give full credit to Indian artisans whose skills are at par with the best in the world. Importing the raw materials also helps, which ensures that comparable quality is maintained. Besides, strictly from the commercial point of view, the move makes ample sense, as in one fell swoop, he seems to have brought designer pens within the reach of a huge market that just cannot have enough of Delmoon creations. And when I talk of the market here, I mean the global market, for Delmoon is steadily upping its ante across many seas.
However, if one were to pin it down to one reason to explain both Delmoon’s popularity and its contribution to the fraternity, then one must point to the way it has continuously worked to bring the boutique quality pens within the reach of the common user and collector. The ever-affable Ravi Tiwari, who is also a bona fide dealer of some of the biggest name brands available is of course another reason behind the runaway popularity.
The one series that was getting rave reviews had pens that had different religious themes etched into the barrel and cap of the pens. I have acquired one and would love to share its story with you in a subsequent video.

My most of the fountain pens are bought from Ravi Bhai, he has all fountain pens from major international brands to his own brand “Delmoon” (The Moon of Delhi).
I got 2 Delmoon Custom 24K gold leaf fountain pens, which are my daily drivers.
Interesting guy with awesome products and in-depth knowledge.
I feel like a child in candy shop when I visit his store.
