Endless Love from Chennai

- The 1st Chennai Pen Show has truly been a watershed event. And I say this after having attended many fountain pen shows in many corners of India over the last seven years or so. For one, it was organised by the lovers, for the lovers of fountain pens and inks - where the desire to make a quick buck was conspicuous in its absence - and the focus was on delivering an unforgettable experience to the fraternity. Round One to Endless!
Then there was the venue and the details to which the event was planned out and executed. To put things bluntly, it was flawless. Let me also add that I could not have possibly done it better. The extent to which the organizers moved around quietly (and efficiently) doing their job was remarkable and there was hardly any reason to complain. And when I say this, I do so after having talked to most of those who had taken up table spaces at the show. Round Two - again to Endless.
The mix was eclectic with most of the major brands present in the show. William Penn, Click, Sulekha, V’Sign, Vazir, Magna Carta, Ranga, ASA, Kanwrite, Delmmon - the big boys of manufacturing were all there as were many others, both traders (including those with antique and vintage pens) and makers. The fact that this was the first of its kind in the South was reason to cheer and the fountain pen and ink-making fraternity had showered their approval through participation, which was as expected. The fact that Aditya Bhansali and his team of young achievers are well-known in the industry by virtue of their long presence and friendly demeanour was of course an added extra. Round Three - certainly to Endless.
And finally, the Chennai crowd. Honestly, I would not have rated the Chennai fountain pen fraternity with such high regard if I had not attended the show. They were knowledgeable, extremely courteous, and a real delight to interact with. That most of the exhibitors did roaring business at the show only bolsters what I am trying to say. Sulekha inks, for example, was sold out on the second day of the show itself. Round Four, again to Endless.
There are shows and there are shows and then there was the Chennai Pen Show. It showed how best, things can be done and one sincerely hopes (and prays) that the other organisers take a leaf out of this Mother of all pen shows in India!
Very impressive. Thanks
I'm so glad Endless has stepped up, and shown what a quality pen show is all about ! Kudos to them.
Wonderful line said by that guy.
“We will treat people the way we would like to be treated “
