I'm with you...I used to feel like 'less than enough'. I'm so thankful that the Lord is working in so many women now to help us find our identity in Him and the joy in our roles within our families.

I am a stay home mom of four for 12 years and I homeschool 9th,6th,3rd,and 2nd but I give God praise every day that I get the privilege to serve my family. I love my life .I am happy with my home and homeschool.i could stay on my hill forever.i love my garden my flowers .I miss the cattle we had but hopefully will get more someday.i love the slow life .I love not having to go at a rush .may God bless you and your family.thank you for sharing your life with us ..

Omg I have no idea why this popped.up on my feed.. but I am so thankful that it did..
My cousin came in from out of town and stayed with us.. I am 5 weeks postpartum with our 5th child. I homeschool and stay at home..
She is a single woman, no children and doesn't want children...and owns a barbershop
She left today... After seeing how we love and run our household, she made it known several times that she wouldn't want my life and made me feel pretty much worthless in the way we live... I have always felt a purpose for what I do as a stay at home mother of 5 children.. but the way she viewed my life, makes me feel really sad. I was up most of the night in tears while feeding my newborn baby.. while she had a blissful rest in the other room.. I just feel like she judged my life based on 2 days that she was here... I am not myself.. postpartum...just had my tubes tied this past Thursday and sleep deprived..
The world needs more.moms like us who would do anything hing for our children and sacrifice a career to make sure our children are happy and safe and taken care of.
I needed this reminder more than you know! I am subscribing immediately! 💜
You’re giving your children the best gift that you can give them; YOU! Don’t worry about what this world thinks- all that really matters is what God knows!!

Thanks for this video! I’ve needed the encouraging reminder. Been under a lot of stress from certain family members who expect things done their way or I fall short. I am not them. We esteem different operating systems. We run on a moral and values system and they run on an end product system. The end result justifies their mean(s). (Seems like mean as in hostile lol) I do not have to answer to them, just to The Lord, my God.

God must be trying to help me today!! I woke up to Erin's Bates' short devotional on Praising God in homemaking... SO GOOD... and now your video on homemaking... my family is precious to me... SO MUCH... and more than ever, I am realizing what an impact I am on my children for better of for worse... how will my children turn out?? What am I teaching them through what they see in me and my action??♡♡
So God, "I am listening and changes will be made as You are gently guiding me to be even more of what You want me to be for these precious children you have gifted my life with... may I ever be faithful to follow You only and hear all Your little checks, Lord, for you know my children best and what I need to choose and do for them so that your will and way be not hindered in their little lives and future... This was so needed today 💕
School with my boys has become such a struggle. Zero focus, zero interest, fighting to get them to pay attention and do what they are “suppose” to be doing. And then today, the school kart literally tumbled over and spilled all over the living room floor. I just sat down on the couch in surrender as my youngest three rushed in and cleaned it all up for me. (So sweet) But in that moment, I knew.
I just need to stop the curriculum, for now. Why do they flight me? They want to PLAY. What did they ask me to do this morning and I said “no”?? They wanted me to read Paddington!!
I’m getting my kids to bed tonight and then I’m doing exactly what you recommended. I’m going to journal and refocus what I NEED to be doing with these boys. I think it is going to center around letting them PLAY and read even more books to them. I’m okay with that. 💕

Ohhh Elaine....I am so sorry you are in a hard season. I will send up a prayer for you this morning. Sometimes we (I) just get caught up in so many things and forget to just sit and BE. That's one of the hardest things for me if I'm being honest. However, those moments are always so life giving. I pray you have some of those sweet moments of stillness with your kids today. Enjoy those books and snuggles, mama! ❤️🤗🌸
How old are your boys? I have 4 boys and I've had a similar experience this year ❤️
@@SimplyLivingIt Jamie! Thank you so much 💕 I had to share…. Today, out of the clear blue sky, my son came to me with his brothers book of CVC words and started sounding them out and reading them! The thing is…my son has apraxia of speech and I’ve been told “sounding out words” doesn’t really happen with apraxia of speech!!! Yet- HE DID IT. TODAY he did it. My hope of him ever reading was waning and God, in His mercy, gave me this sliver of hope today. God is so good. We just have to keep pushing forward even when it feels like we are going NO WHERE. 💕 Thank you for your prayers that day.
