That's usually how it happens. But generally it's a rook that will take you out because of how they move and where they're usually positioned. Incidentally "Iiii always knew I could be queeeennn!" *whack* was the funniest bit for that reason. 😂

You forgot about the pawn promotion rule? You should really solve some chess puzzles on lichess and understand the basics. (Reaching 1000 elo is easy and anyone could do in matter of days,just try to think of the best move that you can play in a position and try to see 2-3 moves ahead and you will get good enough at chess)

Let me just say that I recieved a notification with this video while playing a chess game. Also I wanna say that this was hillarious and some of the details are spot on like the resignation by putting the king down and calculating while staring at the ceeling and I love that you made a joke only a chess player can understand.
I felt the ceiling! What a great story teller! The castle being taken out right after castling, the pawn reaching the end and being taken out right after being promoted to queen; this was laugh out loud hilarious! ENTP

Hi fellow-INTJ! I fail that stereotype, too and hate chess. School was like "you're a smart kid you should be good at chess". I could only win through pawn sacrifices and acting like I "overlooked" it to trick others into taking my pawns.
As a chess player, I always force my pawn to make it to the other side cause I need 2 Queens. More powerrrr
You can still mate without a queen at the end though.. It's good to practice btw. ....Just don't wanna lose it early on.

This channel brings me so much joy
When the rook and king castle, the black knight immediately killed the rook. This means the on the previous move, the knight was attacking the king meaning 'checking' the king. The rules of chess state that a king cannot castle if in check or the casting way is being 'seen' by an opponent peice
The reason that Black Pawn is proud of his opening because the Sicilian Defense is such a fun opening.
Black's so good, they pinned with a knight.

Chess is something I've admired, but never felt drawn to. But this. This makes me want to get a chessboard and make random battle cries, preferably with some Italian thrown in (that Sicilian Defense really got me 😂😂☺️)

Hm. I think mine is...the rook. It's easy to see the pathways it's locked down. In play, those pathways feel like walls extending from the rook. And every time I move one, I see those "walls" shifting, too. I love choking off the king with them. Plus, it's a stone tower; I can hide in there with all my fav things. ❤
@@EmpressMeg Ah I meant knight in this skit. In general I identify with the queen. Powerful piece yet often gets seen by the rest of the board as second to a piece that has no merit to back up its importance. Usually the role I end up being assigned to in workplaces. Called on to do the hard jobs that no one else wants to do but gets little to no credit for it.
