Why do these shows help so many people go to sleep an relax while it's about murder? I also go to sleep to this . So I'm just wondering what's wrong with me ?
His voice seems to be #1 reason. For me though it was also when it came on tv. When I started to watch it was 11pm or later and 2 or 3 in a row. So late and repeats. Easy to fall asleep bc you know the episode. I used to do this with a few movies. Dodgeball is one. Yes, I am aware, weird. Insomnia sucks. Forensic Files unites us.
Nothing wrong with you. Peter Thomas was one of the top 3 narrators ever. He could be talking about how to make different kinds of concrete and it would be just as soporific. I would bet that I have heard each FF episode at least 5x . I go to sleep to this. Its ultimately no different in concept than Grimms fairy tales. The story of Hansel and Gretel is horrific , and many of us listened to the storyteller for their voice, not the topic.
That’s what I am doing this very second.
Maybe you’re tired.
Lmfao man I’ve been doing it for years every girl I sleep with say it’s creepy
Love that mother for not trying to cover up for her son and shame on that guy for repaying kindness with violence. His sweet wife had nothing to do with it.
No kidding. But in fairness, the kid was so ugly, not even his momma could love him.
No good deed goes unpunished.
He wasn't planning on going to hurt him! He told his buddies his boss paid him good and they started this idea of robbery!😮
Should not have told his buddies anything
Still doesn’t seem like robbery
Forensic files is the best crime show on. Just wish this narrator was still alive to do the new ones.
I’ve been watching this my whole life my aunt and grandma used to watch it i still to this day put it on to fall asleep 😴 there’s something about this man’s voice that puts me to sleep love it ❤️
I don’t even watch it I put it on and turn my phone over and instantly fall asleep.
@@kerrijackson1590 me too 😬
Your aunt and grandma still alive?
Same…
Your not alone, I be sleep in like 45 seconds 😴 lol love his voice but I have seen all the episodes, how 🤔 I don't no lol
That poor wife. Her husband murdered right before her eyes, her life and her daughter threatened, and she gets accused of being a gold digger.
It is common that when a wealthy older man marries a younger wife, the adult children from the previous marriage are resentful for various reasons. The obvious being the new wife takes the money and attention away. If the husband dies the new wife is often the suspect.
RIP Ronald Shaw such a senseless loss of life. He paid Shannon Touchet good money, he said that himself in the interrogation, and instead of him being grateful to Ronald Shaw for his generosity, he got greedy and did the unthinkable. Sending my condolences to Rosana Shaw Little and their daughter who never got to meet her father.
This is really sad. They were given an opportunity to live right and establish themselves and took it for granted.
There are really ungrateful people who inspite ot good things you did to them they will repay you in worst ways so sad 😥
*in spite of good things you do for them, they repay you in the worst ways
I hate hearing cases about victims getting killed by people that they helped. Makes me feel like there is no kindness and gratitude left in the world.
Please read 2 Timothy 3:3 in the Bible. It confirms your opinion.
@@williamorich7531 No.
@synergisticcollusion134 no one asked your opinion.
Sadly a lot of Times family members turn bad. So do a lot young spoiled roden young people don’t want to work, only party and drugs and fast money
At least, the grandfather AND the mother did not cover up the bad apple.
is his voice some sort of hypnotism that it makes everyone sleep😂😂
So true 😂😂😂
Yes. It’s the best ASMR voice ever!
Wish these woulda never ended. Ive seen all these a million times. RIP peter thomas
I wonder if the victim’s son was pissed off that it turned out that the wife wasn’t implicated. He probably pointed the finger at her in the hopes that she would go to prison and he would get dad’s millions.
I felt for her. I was a step mother and step daughter would throw me under the bus any time she could. Broke my heart.
I feel that grief does a lot to people. It makes them act or say things that they would never do or say. In this case, I think that in an attempt to make sense of his tragedy, he blamed somebody that wasn't responsible for that tragedy. I hope that the son realised that he was wrong and apologised so that he could have something to do with his half sibling.
@@TiffWaffles Yea, I agree. His son probably thought the stepmom was involved so he turned on her.
@@TiffWaffles i like your insightful comment. 🥰
Yepper, he just wanted daddy's money all to himself.
Imagine the guilt the granddad is having to endure.
I think more total dissapointment. He did nothing wrong.
Ridiculous !! Why should Grandpa feel guilty over doing a good deed and getting his grandsons jobs?
@HappyGator guilt because he's the one who introduced his grandson to the victim
@@SweetChicagoGator Nobody ever said that all guilt is reasonable. Lots of people deal with guilt for things that were completely out of their realm of thinking, possibility or control. 🙄
I put forensic files literally every night! The narrators voice puts me to sleep!
Me too, it's Actually the only tv show I watch on CZcams or in general.
Omg. I thought I was the only one who turns this on every single night lol
It puts me to sleep as well, but it's not because his voice is boring, it's just somnolent and soothing, nor too loud.
“When I opened the safe, he was disappointed I guess he was suspecting a lot.”
Me: it must have been like $100 or something.
Peter: He took $7000.00!
They must be very very rich...
And left a lot in the safe.
Poor Rosana and what she had to endure with these criminals. Not only she lost her beloved husband in front of her, but the poor baby was born not knowing her father. Very sad and so tragic. Ron Shaw didn’t deserve to die the way he did, no matter how wealthy he was. He made his own money by working and not by stealing or assaulting/killing anyone. SMH. May Ron Shaw Rest In Peace always 🙏🏻🙏🏻
As it was said in this episode, a lot of unhappy people were not surprised to learn he was killed that way...
He was a victim, yes. But he was no saint.
This gets filed under 'good deeds never go unpunished'.
Right??
I never understood this old saying ...until I started watching Forensic Files 😢😮😅
Shannon Touchet was just granted parole last week. Louisiana is letting all these violent offenders out of prison as long as they've taken classes in prison and haven't had a write up in a year. Very sad what's going on down here right now. Life in prison doesn't mean that anymore in Louisiana..
His parole hearing is on a channel called "Mandoo". Along with many more
Very infuriating!
Maybe he has been corrected by the correctional facility
He will kill again.
He has done his time and seems remorseful u gotta watch his hearing. Life is 25 years and he has done his 25

I love this show. It always helps me relax so i can fall asleep. I had to plead guilty to a vehicular manslaughter plus DUI hit and run in 2005 due to forensic science.
Well how many damn people knew of their home safe?😲
Yeah!! Word get round.
More like how many DIDN'T know....🤣
That's what I'm saying! Hell why even hide it, if everyone one but me knows where it is.
Everyone in Lafayette Parish.
Literally my go to sleep show 🤣
I agree I put it on every night I’ve seen every episode several times just the sound of the man’s voice with me right to sleep very soothing for some reason
I listen to the old Dragnet radio episodes late at night or police interrogations to fall asleep.
Soothing. Puttin me right back in my NEEDED PLACE🛏🛋
If Peter Thomas had been a preacher, his entire congregation would be sound asleep by the end of his sermon.
Lol, we are alike, I'm on my couch watching ff all the time in evening, then I fall asleep to them. Best sleep.
Sounds sinister to fall asleep listening to true crime - you're not the only one 🙈😂😂
@@primadonna4535 yeah, I thought do I have like deep seated issues? Then I figured, nay, I just enjoy the investigation.
I do the same. Every night 🥺😂
FBI files, forensic files, and the new detectives are the best. We should start an appreciation group. It would be great to be a part of these series, like an actor or camera operator.

Right. Tight.
We are all the same apparently
Homicide Hunter Lt Joe Kenda FTW!
Unsolved mysteries is the best, especially the ghost segment
"For reasons unknown they didn't take more valuables",....Stupid is as stupid does.
Can’t sleep without watching an episode
Who do you personally know that carries $1100 in cash in their pocket for walking money?
I'm lucky if I have $11.00 on me lol
Go to the bars, I always see the older dudes with stacks of cash trying to get the young waitresses
I work in a grocery store. Guy paying his groceries pulls out a roll of bills and peels off three one hundred dollar bills, and all the bills in that roll were hundreds (In Canada bills are all different colours so you can tell by the colour they were all hundreds.) And they weren't fake because it happened weeks ago and they cleared the bank.
This was back in the 90s, yo. Debit cards took off en masse post Y2K.
@@kellyngrey4950 Elders still prefer to pay cash. It's their way to control their expenses. However, I'll agree with you, it's not too safe.
My husband carries atleast 1000.00 in his wallet at all times. He's not a big spender but I think he likes to know he can buy something or just have it for an emergency
The wife seems so sweet. I hate that these good people were targeted. Life is incredibly unfair.
SUCH A VIBRANT CULTURE..
When I start to dream this stuff, I have to cut back on falling asleep to this kind of content.
What about people who give false alibi? Do they get consequences? Did the girlfriend who provided the alibi get punished for lying?
I’m pretty sure that there’s nothing the cops can do about verbally lying to them. But if they give a (false/lie) written statement and sign their name to it, then they can arrest you (LPT: never talk to police or give written statements without a lawyer, even if you’re truly innocent & committed no crime). But regarding the verbal lying, the cops could pursue other avenues stemming from the lying; which could result in charges. For example, if the girlfriend lied about the perps whereabouts and they find that she knew what the perp had done and helped “cover it up” by driving him to dispose of evidence, then the cops can start piling on the charges.
But maybe “obstruction of justice” charges could be brought if they could prove the intent of the lying was to obstruct their investigation.
@@mikeappleget482 thank you so much for your thorough and very helpful answer!
I guess They forgot to mention on this episode.
They'd have to prove the ppl knowingly provided a false alibi. For example, I might remember hanging out at a bar on Wed night, but then later on, realize I got the days mixed up and realize it was Thurs night I was at the bar. There's no way to prove the victims knowingly lied
@@mikeappleget482 thank you for your response, it's very informative and is very appreciated
Never bite the hand that feeds you.
This goes to show, you just can't be nice to some people.
Or given certain people a job
I had to make myself watch crime shows that werent narrated by Peter Thomas ...his voice was the best ...❤
Bingo, I just went back to make sure I heard her description of the robbers was correct. I even used the Closed Caption feature to make sure. As she gave her description, she said “the one had gold teeth!” OMG, how easy was that to pick out the criminal, just look for the one with gold teeth! That fact wasn’t mentioned as they tried to get them to confess.
Love these crime movie it helps me in a lot of ways..thank you guys for these wonderful crime shows and keep up the great work you guys does 👍 👌
what a way to repay someone for their kindness...
I was thinking the same thing. He even told the detective he was paid good. But his twisted mind instead of thinking let me save this money and carve out a life for myself, he thinks I want more more more, so I will kill.
He's (The grandson)home on parole now. The poor wife let out a cry when they granted him parole, so sad.
How do you know this? Where you get the info from?
kinda crazy to me that the 3rd guy "involved" in the murder had no forensic evidence tying him to the case and received the exact same sentence as the ones who did
Well, he pleaded guilty, so he deserved that sentence.
At least one of the other brotha perps snitched on him and testified against him. If you go on a robbery with your buddy and he shoots and kills someone, it's the same as if you pulled the trigger (in the eyes of the law).
Everybody and their brother knew about the safe. Holy Sh!t. No wonder it was robbed.
Very calming, allows me to sleep. Thank you for that
My favorite bedtime stories 😴☺️
Mine, too! 🙂😀😃

Ronald looks like a country MoneyBagg Yo before the money 😂😂
HOW stupid can people be to let anyone know about a safe
You wouldn't think. Oh they keep NOTHING of value in it Would you ?😕😳
Or have it put in at the end of the job
@@justinwallace390 Houses are built in a certain order (foundation, frame, electrical, plumbing, drywall, etc.), so you probably wouldn't be able to wait until the end. Even if you did, it would still take multiple people to lift/set it into place.
They had to have it built into the wall as the wall was built. So anyone on the jobsite would have known about it.
But that doesn't matter. You could have 50 dudes build a house. Turns out, only two of them (and a buddy) are shitlings that decide to try to rob the place. They also happened to be a pair of really stupid turd burglars at that.
I’m happy they were caught kind of stupid robbers throwing the mask out 😳😳
Prayers for his wife
The grandfather and his daughter solved this crime
Yes and the grandfather's daughter did too.

Not the only one, me too
i put these on when i need to sleep lol
Amazing work
These cops trip me out. In one episode they are like “they didn’t steal a Rolex and jewelry because those items are traceable.” Then in the next episode they are like “it obviously wasn’t a robbery because they left the Rolex and the jewelry.” So which is it??
🤣🤣
😂😂it's bit of both mate.
there motive wasnt what he had, it was whatever was in the safe
But they still did not take all the gold coins, tat are *not* traceable.
Why did they have to kill him? If their motive was robbery, they could've planned better and waited till Rosana was on her own one day and then, go in. No killing, just stealing.
These animals killed an innocent man for what? They didn't even know how much was in the safe! That just shows how stupid and callous they were.
Well let's hope they don't get it right next time All they have to do is tell me who's the beneficiary on the insurance policy and I know who killed him
Drugs. The mom had said they used drugs. Or he might have known their voices from working together
Yeah they are pretty much master criminals. 😂
There was no need to murder the husband to commit this crime. And what if the wife didn’t know the combination to the safe? Stupid is as stupid does.
If FF didn’t interview the wife, I would have thought the whole thing was planned by wife.
So relieved I’m not the only one who goes to sleep to FF…thanks all!
When Rosana is asked "who knew about the safe?" she rattles off so many names you begin to wonder who Didn't know about the safe.
Shannon Touchet and Ronald Benson think they're all big and bad and tough looking with those grilles on their teeth, but in reality they just look ridiculous.
Too many people knew. Like her family friends even the son. No one but husband and wife should have known.
@@msc8663 Yes, ideally the fewer people who know about things like that the better, but since it was going to be a built-in safe the construction workers had to know about it. Unfortunately they weren't very trustworthy.

Don't ever let them out. Put them out of business. Give 10 more years for stupidity to the one who threw the mask away out the window.
Too late on that. Shannon Touchet was just paroled out. Very sad. Louisiana is releasing all these violent murderers as long as they take some dumb classes that teach them how to con the parole board...
Too late. Shannon was released a few months ago. Not sure about the other ones.🙄🤦♀️🤬
I've asked myself the same question many times.
Can you put episodes from forensic Files II up?
It’s not a ‘safe’ if everyone knows about it.
Don't be too kind to people who have run-ins with laws. Certain type of people won't change.
Rosana sounds suspicious, just my own opinion.
it seems the killer wanted to be caught who in the hell will left the most crucial piece of evidence near the scene.

You know he was married for his money that's why his family was upset. Beautiful woman marrying the stocky unfit person but that doesn't make her guilty of murder. Some women are attracted to men that have money in a way that they are truly attracted to them because of their money. Then there are women who marry for the money and that's all they want is the money they don't care about that person. I think she married him because of his money but loved him as well but if he didn't have that type of money she wouldn't give him the time of day and we all know that
And he married her because she was young and good looking.

*Don't you know that a man being rich is like a girl being pretty? You wouldn't marry a girl just because she's pretty, but my goodness, doesn't it help?*
