As soon as I started listening to it I was moved to tears my female lineage didn't have the best. I think of all of what my grandmothers female ancestors had to go through and the trauma that has been passed down to me. The reason of the trauma was because they were also traumatized I forgive them no longer have bitterness but feel sorry. Then the faces of all the females in pain around the world came in and ma kali came in. This was wonderful thank you.
Wow, I'm so excited to find the original song-writers version of this song as I've been singing it for many years now, have "channeled" a whole story that has the song interwoven through it, along with new verses about Mother, Queen and Crone. I would love to contact Sandy Vaughn directly.....is there a way to do that? I would love to share the story-song I put with this song with her. This is such a special and sacred song. I have been singing and sharing it for years since I first heard it from my friend Moonstone. I inadvertently changed some of the melody, but it is still beautiful and powerful. I have since heard many different versions. I have translated it into Spanish, since I sing it in Baja, Mexico. I've heard there's a better Spanish version. If I could be directed to it, I would appreciate it.
