A lot of people seem to keep missing the point that this guy wanted the room to be found by the clones because he wanted to keep killing them and since they were clones it was completely “legal” for him to do.
Great point. I was reading the comments and you’re right.

Well they are indeed clones. 😏
They did 5th Elizabeth sooo dirty bro. She literally walked so 6th Elizabeth could run lol...

would have been akward if more than one elizabeth had made it out alive, so for story purposes this makes it less weird.

so does a cyro-genic woman who's never held a gun before hipfiring.
Bruh I bet Elizabeth won't be that intrigued to go into the forbidden room if he hadn't brought it up like a big issue lol
Or, you know, he could have just disabled the door, put a lock on it, hidden it, not mentioned it or million other things but I guess the plot has to suffer for the sake of the movie...
He wanted her to find it and go in. he enjoys killing them and i guess he likes the pretext to be "You promised not to"
At 13:30 the narrator basically says that Henry enjoys killing Elizabeth, so I guess he wanted her to find it so he would have a reason to kill her.
@@keyhousesarajevo8581 uuuh no. The point is that he WANTS her to check the room. He likes the rutine of killing her.
The story is pretty much a modern-version of Blue beard, a very old tale of a noble that kills his wives, throw her corpses in a room, and does basically the same than henry.
@@sunmal1599 Bluebeard. Havent read that one in a long timr
The actress who played Elizabeth is absolutely stunning
ugly old man gets gorgeous little girl, just like real life!
I wholeheartedly agree.
Her name?
@@sidneygreenglass106 oh shes old. nvm.
@@Nonyah123 you're definitely a 14 year old virgin. She's actually quite young and is stunning. Far better than you'll ever get or deserve.
The essence of having a secret room is to never tell anyone that there's a secret room for them to be curious and eventually tries to uncover sooner or later.
It wasn’t a secret room. He was using reverse psychology for his sick game
In the secrecy box is a secret string…
That’s the whole point
He wanted the clones to find the room so Henry could keep killing them, reliving his first night, yatta, yatta. Henry is a crazy psycho turns out, and not a sex maniac.
We wanted them to find it. It’s pretty obvious
Sounds like a version of the story of blue beard. He also had a hidden room and forbade his wife to go in. But when she did go in the room she found the dead bodies of his previous wives.
I was thinking the same thing
Same. Quite a clever new take on a classic story
Elizabeth 5 did all the work but Elizabeth 6 got the freedom.
This movie is the wicked version of :
“You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
more of blue beard
Already sounds pretty damn wicked
Seems like the same kind of wicked to me. Especially since the one saying that looked the other way while a master manipulator told her that it's okay
@@mistydemorrow4955 Misty, I’m intrigued by your take.

Money> anything
That "simple woman" dialogue is the result of the writer imagining her as a simple, below average looking woman and the director choosing a hot model as the actor.
I mean, him being old doesn't mean she's not simple, lol. She was honestly lucky to have him given his achievements in life.
Must say: Love your text-to-speech and the little quirks it has (eg. reading the same things differently, how you left them in the script). Makes me smile everytime, even there is no AI at work. ;D

This one is a classic and I've seen it multiple times, but I still watched the recap because I love all of your recaps. They are usually nice because it helps me find hat to watch but even if I've seen it, the video is still nice to watch.

@@vb8428 what's the name of the movie
so we're to believe 6 was just hiding in the house, undetected for days? then she just so happens to pop out with a shotgun?
I think we are lead to believe that the kid did it. Since she think he's henry after all. So he duped the 6.
The kid did some physical therapy on the clones so it's probably one of them. Maybe he woke her up earlier because he was getting nowhere with the #5.
Imagine you are a billionaire, clever enough to be awarded a steam cell nobel prize, and you dont make that "forbidden room"s door a book shelf or just a wall which has secret open
Edit: stem cell*
Clearly the original Elizabeth was curious and this guy just enjoyed killing the clones too much
He wanted her to find it, that’s a part of his desire and game he plays with the clones.
@@miranda13c I'm going to clone you.
@@KingOfDust You're already a clone, and I've been planning for you to type this comment all along.
Those steam cells. . .crazy.
It's way random though that she just leaves this woman who was clearly an accomplice to all the crimes committed and tells her to 'do something better with the house.' I mean: what?! :D
What crime? Clones aren't people. They should be used for organs and testing, but not for population growth at all.
@@charliekelly3173 You sound like a super villain.
Even better, all the clones we spent time with die, and the one who lives kills the only other clone because she doesn't know what's going on. So villain lady and hasty murder clone get the happy ending. I sure love feel good movies...
Worst case scenario is that she will continue doing the experiment but now with Henry as the clone (if she manages to find samples of him). It would be an interesting sequel. Henry getting a taste of his own medicine.
Ugh. I’ve fallen for the rabbit hole that is movie recaps. Again. Welp! time to rewatch everything! 🤣
"a call was made to nine hundred and eleven" HAHAHAHA
when writing the text to speech script they must have put '911' instead of 'nine one one' still the correct number though.
Had to scroll down to make sure somebody else caught that because boy did I laugh my ass off when I heard it!!!
soooo... this guy has all this money and tech, with a house that can LOCK A PERSON IN, but cant get a proper security system to LOCK A PERSON OUT of a room. hmmm, okay.
He just wanted an excuse to kill her, because he got pleasure out of it
I'm pretty positive that was on purpose.

So, was oliver the son of Henry and Elizabeth? Or he was a clone of Henry?.... If he was the son of Elizabeth then all of this was very disturbing
Oliver is Henry's clone but registered/reported him as his son. He figured that maybe Elizabeth might want a younger Henry if i'm reading the subtitles right of the recap. 🤣
@@misaoshikhun2460 And when Elizabeth DID want a younger Henry he got jealous and blinded him.

Yes, totally true. I have a niece called Elizabeth and she's exactly like that.
sounds aweful
Don't touch children inappropriately.
Your move, Elizabeth. 😎
Henry just wanted a honeymoon phase. This is narcissistic trait
Ok but like was Oliver actually evil maybe he really would have let her go and just wanted to have her read the book. Am I missing some sort of context because its a recap? Like if all he really wanted was for her to read it she should have just chilled out and read it but there's a good chance I'm missing some sort of info I would have gotten watching it so please someone who has seen it fill me in.
I was wondering that as well along with why clone six's reaction is to first trust Oliver, then shoot Oliver and in the process shoot clone five. My first reaction to seeing myself wouldn't be to shoot me. These clones seem pretty stupid, can't keep out of the one room for two days, can't just read the book when I thought they wanted to know what was going on too. It's like anything you tell them they will do the opposite just to do it.
@@GerbilOfMight if I saw a clone of me I would be terrified and would probably go insane.
@@GerbilOfMight I think 6th shot Oliver on accident trying to protect him by shooting 5th who was attacking him. she thought he was Henry And I believe she had implanted memories of him that made her think he was her husband. ok but why did the 6th kill the fifth? seems like it was for no reason
Because she blamed her for Oliver's death (who she thought was Henry) and didn't know the truth yet. Still pretty upsetting in the end that she basically died for no reason but 6th thought she had a reason...
@@FullyAlive33 who thought was henry? And did she think that?
@@syedashamsianazneen5032 6th thought Oliver was Henry probably because He looked like his dad when he was younger. And because Henry put memories in the clones heads she might have thought he was her husband. So she was mad when she accidentally shot him and blamed 5th.

So the "brilliant" doctor never thought to put the hidden room somewhere else???
He's definitely just a psychopath who gets off on making his victims think there's hope of escape/being disturbed. Since he just wants to relive one day over and over, he'd need to replace the clone anyways as it'll age. He probably just wants her to find the room so he can chase her around like a hunt.

Didn't they JUST say that all of the doors have "fingerprint-activated locks" on them? SOOOO, exactly how did the clone just "waltz into" the FORBIDDEN ROOM??!?!
My understanding is they can be disabled when the Dr. Wants them to be.
Henry makes it easy to get into that room because he likes to kill the clones
Both of them had access but it can also be easily disabled.
The doctor wanted the wedding bliss feeling over & over again for his own evil pleasure. Seems to me he left the Forbidden Room door opened to use it as an excuse to torture & kill each Elizabeth for being bad. Serial killer, narcissist, psycho, pervert & then some all rolled into one.
@@LY_11 Ok well I get that, but I'm just saying, from the CLONE'S perspective... if he had been telling me all of this, I would simply ask, "Why don't you just lock that if you paid all the money and went through all the effort to install "FINGER ACTIVATED" locks on each door... why then wouldn't you use this system to keep me from entering this room accidentally?"
