The various cell derived mediators are histamine, serotonin, arachidonic acid metabolites (prostaglandins, prostacyclin, thromboxane A2, Leukotrienes, Lipoxins), Cytokines, Chemokines, Platelet activating factor.
The plasma derived mediators include kinin system, complement system and coagulation products.
