PLEASE let us track our larger ships solar system-wide. I'd like to park someplace and use my snubs to get around without losing the location of the home ship or having to park at a OM point.
Huge agree, especially with more capital ships entering the Verse. Please let us bookmark or tag our big ships!
New Starmap seems like it'd allow that functionality with the features they showed off at Citizen-con. That's probably still a ways away tho :/

I think thru setting personal beacon in particular location - like on planet, ship etc. should be relatively easy with tools we already have in game.

So pyro is “lawless”, but not without logical rules.
I was hoping to hear about that as well. I won't be going to Pyro until reactive AI NPC's and Rep is fully implemented. I'm going to LMAO the first time I see a player get lit up by the Station NPC's for being a douche nozzle inside the station.
@@Grimshak81 what people don't understand is that Pyro is only "lawless" in the sense that there's no official governing body, like the UEE in Stanton. Each individual gang in pyro still has their own rules and laws for their own territory.
@@kaejuka6249 Exactly. Stations do not run and supply themselves, so they are not going to just let anything slide and mess up their cash flow from the people they do allow aboard.

Seriously though, the Pyro preview was awesome and I'm looking forward to jumping back in. Just please, don't remove the noodle call outs. Surely it's plausible a crazy guy and gal in Pyro really try and sell you noodles when you just need a few extra medpens. I need it for my immersion.

@@GreasyKhaleesii Who couldn't play?? I played Pyro the whole time it was on the preview channel. So could ALL THE BACKERS. Not sure what you're getting at saying what "We couldn't play". Everyone could play Pyro.
Who wants some noodles?
Pyro is cool but i really want quanta. The cities and settlements are cool but everything feels lifeless when you really dont have much npcs to interact with. I love how in Red Dead Redemption 2 npcs have a full day routine coded into them. One day i cant wait for sc npcs to actually do something around the the city rather than t posing or just stare at my character as I pass them.

The process of that would be insane, at that point this game would never release if it ever does.. i mean 10+ years its insane
That's why they are working on Server Meshing. Hopefully, we can get replication layer testing this month.
They are working on more realistic in and out of work routines and behaviour in Squadron 42 so I assume this will be ported over to SC at some point.
@@Ghost_Maverick ...Why? All it really means is that an NPC has a schedule of where they should be and what animation they should play at any given time (and possibly what interactions are enabled). Both Arcanum and Oblivion had such a system. It's really not difficult to do.
I like the idea of mob justice for spawn killers

NPCs who live on the station should participate. Can't imagine the gangs in charge like people shooting up their hard earned turf.
With the quality of the AI current in-game, it will never work.
@@calventinethe AI is pretty dope when the server runs perfect. I have thousands of hours in SC and had these servers 4-5 times. So, yeah, it’s rare, but you can see that the AI is pretty good, when you have the luck to be on one of these servers.
Pyro is great. All the devs directly involved should be very proud.

4:38 Yeah, as someone who's not a pacifist player per se but still leans more toward the industrial gameplay loops, I suspect I'll visit Pyro from time to time - the rewards may be worth the risks - but I'll almost certainly be making my future base in Stanton or some other UEE system.

I am a peaceful law abiding player but I really loved Pyro. I am just hoping that it is feasible for me to settle down there with 'People For Pyro' and make money from the disparity between Stanton & Pyro ie bringing in goods from Stanton that Pyro needs or bringing out rare items that Stanton will pay well for. I also hope that this extends to mining eg unique high-value minerals that make it worth the risk of coming into a lawless system to mine them.

I like the idea of having to get into pyro and pick a group to align with asap and start gaining reputation wilth them so you can have some semblance of security in the system

I know it is a long shot but I hope they have been secretly polishing like 1-2 other systems and secretly release them into the verse when they release Pyro. Would be very cool to wake up one day and all of a sudden be able to travel to 3 other systems. Especially if it happens right after the implementation of Server Meshing.

People claimed that for years back when SQ42's work was higher than expected. There was no secret build a greenlight away.
No game company would hide their bigger milestones, while publicly stating there's nothing else to share. That's LITERALLY the point of having commitments to transparency.
I would be very upset if one day they say they finished year-long work without ever disclosing said secret work to backers, who pay to help with development.
I wish I had been able to go check out and test pyro. Lots of cool game play that will be fun someday.
I didn't take the opportunity because I knew lots of trolly pvp was going to happen. Glad I skipped out on that headache.
Bro Pyro was dope, only issue for me was the stations were too big and too maze-y. Wasn't easy to find your way around imo
Yeah I saw people in streams getting ganked just when they stepped out of the habitation area so I didn’t bother to log in in the first place. Immersion through PvP is nice but if I want to play Fortnite I’d buy Fortnite.

Wish I had experienced one of the solar flares myself, they looked so cool. I experienced nothing but death trying to play lol. Not my kind of system. I'll stick to Stanton and UEE controlled systems. :)

I spent most of my second day at Citizencon at the booth. Luckily, there was a projector showing the entire presentation in the main room.
I was wondering what the reputation mechanic would look like. I'd imagine trading with gangs would grant protection from pirates. If you bring grade A Milspec equipment then R&R provides escort fighters or air cover at a base.
More likely you get next to nothing for being friendly, and if you're unfriendly they cancel pad services and ineffectually shoot at you, but with a really quick and easy way of resetting all that hostility.
Since you guys have opened the gates of pyro i have lost my will to play... all the time thinking of the gameplay posibilities when two systems are in game and wwe can traverse to pyro to do sometthing there. Pyro is amazing, its mind bogling how much work you all have put into it , its amazing, its art, This is why i will never stop supporting the development of this game.
With the new year and xmass comming i would like to wish all the best to CIG employees - You guys worked so hard this year and enriched this game we all love, now get some rest, relax and see you next year !
The Pyro experience was amazing, and although I enjoyed it throughout my testing, it still left a lot to be desired. My Starfarer does not need to be used as an overflowing supply point in Pyro, and it is interesting that PVP between users is free, but there is still no risk of looting or pirates during mining or salvage. Aside from a few strategic points, it is still as peaceful as Stanton. I look forward to seeing a 'complete' lawless area without stations as explained at CitizenCon.

Coming from a typically PvE guy, Pyro was AMAZING. It felt dangerous, run down, on the edges of civilization. I was so jumpy when cruising around alone. Can't wait for it to be added to the PU!

Wanting Terra, not Pyro. But good work CIG. Really. No matter how hard I cry for the state of the alpha going into a PvP griefer hellhole, there is actual progress being made. C'mon Rep and AI/NPCs. That's the real key to turn for progress and countering the Alpha Hotel players you've been attracting lately.

It was awesome to get a preview of Pyro and see its tangible potential. The environment and mood of the system feels right and unique. Definitely a distinct contrast between the two solar systems. Hopefully Nyx and Odin are not far behind.

Probably one of the best ISC thats been on in a while.
The part about having only some features be playable gave me an idea of what CIG could do with unreleased or unplayable content. They could set up warning zones for players, notifying them that they are getting close to an area that isn't finished or under construction. The player could either go through at their own risk or there could be an unpassable barrier preventing entry.
This way, players can explore new places with limited areas, while CIG works on it or other areas. Then CIG just removes the barrier or moves the barrier when the work is completed for the next patch.
This could allow players limited access to more star systems with restricted flight areas. Restricted in the sense of barred entry and a controlled flight path until work is complete.
I was already looking forward to Pyro *before* the preview channel.. now I need an addictions counselor because you guys invited me into the preview. 😂 Just kidding, but only kind of. It was really, really good guys. I had to jump into a hole in the floor in the infamous hangar 11 that appeared right when I needed it, with a drop of health left, patched myself up and snuck around the vents just under the floor to ultimately finish the mission in a desperate final stand deep into the hangar.. surrounded on all sides by hostiles very much aware of where I was hiding. 10 out of 10.

I was so sad I didn't get to log on for that more, almost every window happened while I was at work. I think I got to spend maybe two hours in Pyro. But what I saw was incredible, it spoke tons of what is to come.

I tested Pyro at CitizenCon and later at the Tech Preview and it was a great experience. I'm already looking forward to more! I would love to see a reputation system that discourages "players" from being a jerk and killing everything and everyone. If you are a member of a Pyro gang and another player kills you, the gang will hunt the player down.
Even in a legal vacuum, there are rules and unwritten laws or honor codes and every action has consequences. The ISC give me some hope for Pyro.

Preview Channel is a great addition to the Launcher. Now I just want you CIG to fix box missions to make them more lucrative. Bring back the one box 10k cross-system missions.

Jokes aside i'll be loving to play in pyro, i haven't just once had a crimestat cause i slapped the securidtie flies that bugged me with their scan (and no, i did it out of spite, not even having any illegal cargo. One dream of mine would be that reputation gameplay would be to the point of the "hes a mostly lawful company mercenary" but everyone is affraid of scanning him as not many got to live the tale, so as to you beeing able to enjoy fly in spaces like stanton but not getting bugged by high sec flies

it would be great to work noodles into the gameplay and universe building. Pyro could be like the Kowloon walled city near Hong Kong (until the 90s), a lawless place that had the best food. Adventurous outsiders flocked there! Maybe there could be super lucrative Goldbelly type deliveries for wealthy clients?
My heart will always be with the Star Citizen because of that love which you can see in every tiny detail. And because of the designers behind of all of that stuff. It just fits right into your soul from first glance. Hoping that some day there will be an opportunity for the players to create another different missions aside the beacons and maybe even the content on the planets. It seems impossible, but who knows..
But guys, honestly, do something with the interface already. It is barely readable most of the time and pushes away the newbies.
I really wish I could disable the red “danger bow” and the blue “hit feedback” crosshair in the game menu.
I'm really excited for Pyro. It looks hard edged and exciting! The art design is on point as usual, props to CIG
