The marble can still be repaired even w/ missing chunks. Theres epoxy and marble repair guys that can make it looks almost new again

Yeah and if they keep it as a demo unit, I think that would be perfectly fine.
Any impact that caused the marble to break will also break the sensitive electronics inside. that tube Amp isn't made to be moved around.
the HE1 headphone itself tho, if the case is properly padded all around, should be fine, that's the one DMS used to listen along, two HE1 together probably.
@@MuhammadKharismawan I feel like even those could also all be repaired if they just find the compoents and replace them, the only thing that I assume cant be replaced easily are the tubes themselves if any of them are broken. They could have been one off production from Senn, and we're still in a tube shortage 2023

I tried them at Sennheiser's HQ in Germany. It was amazing. You can easily pinpoint every instrument and the soundstage is so expansive, it really feels like you're there. I've never heard anything that compares.

So at CanJam Chicago the Sennheiser rep in the HE-1 room was telling me that DMS was going to be doing some HE-1 content on his channel soon, so I was very excited to finally see this and the other review video he did a couple of weeks ago, and one of the interesting features the rep was pointing out was that the HE-1 unit has a second headphone output in the back so you could listen to two of these headphones at the same time on the unit. He told me that DMS was going to be doing this and I kept wondering where the hell they got the second headphone, so it's interesting to see how that came to be. Such a heartbreaker to see that beautiful marble broken! It's such a fantastic system. Sennheiser rep told me that the marble not only looks beautiful, but it's also there to minimize any vibrations, so even if that broken unit would still work, it's severely compromised in potential performance, not only in appearance. 😢

Yes… the marble was chosen because it’s super dense! Like Dynamat and mass-loaded-vinyl for your car/soundproofing a room, but taken to the extreme.

I love my Blon -03, i love its Design Sound and Fitting... and my friends too love them.
(I don't like Harsh high ends, but I do like Bass but Not Overpowering, Blon -03 reallly opened up the way i listen to music)

That's kinda the best way someone can prank you lol. And great choice with iFi Zen stack, for me it is the ultimate Sennheiser HD6 series "fixing" combo :) You want more bass or make it more spacious so basically improve both its weaker sides? No problem, there are buttons just for that :)

Yeah, without all the theatrics, marble, and motorized gubbins, but still using the same electronics. I wonder just how much all of that adds to the cost over a strictly function-first design.
It's a common question we get but when it comes time to write the check, you'd be surprised how many money-is-no-object commenters are suddenly quiet.
A) Good
B) Fast
C) Affordable
...which two of the above three would you accept?

Dirtbag flips stolen HE-1 for 20k then cant be bothered spending a few hundred dollars to ensure that it arrives intact : Jesus wept. Hopefully there is an entirely different 'delivery van' in his future - the kind where two guys with balaclavas jump out and remove him from the sidewalk - it would be doing society a favour.
tried the HE1's for like an hour at a hifi shop... sadly it didn't have the same impact as other CZcams that were tearing up from the music. Personally, the Focal Utopia's sounded better for me since the bass was amazing on it

And shouldn't someone who reviews and talks about music be using the universal reference standard? HD650 is in studios pretty much everywhere, and is almost universally loved in the audiophile community.

I think this is something that most secretly wish for. I know I do.
Most audiophiles can compartmentalize price tiers quite well. FWIW, @DMS3TV is quite generous. We did not ask him to give those HD 650 / iFi stacks away, he just does it out of love for the creator community and sound. Anyone who feels in a _lesser_ place after receiving a cool setup like that is an immediate 🚩

I've bought obsolete, obscure, worthless items (including headphones and electronics),
on eBay and the sellers packed them safe enough to probably survive a Formula One crash.
No joke: Bubble wrap, cardboard, plastic, newspaper, air cushions, all obsessively secured with an obscene amount of strong shipping tape inside and out, for something I paid $60 and sometimes much less.

@@DMS3TV that is not true, the quality of the digital signal matters. Your laptop is noisy and was not built to be a proper audio source, that is why we have dedicated streamers your friend Cameron did a review of one and talked about this very issue.

@@sennheiser any laptop vs a simple streamer from ifi or bluesound node 2i sounds veiled, lacking detail etc. And you have the most expensive headphones there that will tell you everything about your signal chain.

I attended Chicago canjam last month and not one OTL amp with your high impedance headphones... What a shame.

Why are they using a generic power cord instead of the high-end AudioQuest Firebird? And why settle for a standard USB cable instead of the premium Nordost Valhalla 2 USB and interconnects? It's puzzling that they didn't include a power conditioner. It seems wasteful to invest $60k in this "system" without utilizing top-tier cables. They might not fully realize the potential of what they have.
We show the system in a variety of ways all the time. At CanJam Chicago we used a Kimber Kable IEC, at showrooms we often connect to multi-stage conditioners and with premium interconnects. Just checked the sky and there is no evidence of a rip in space-time as a result of using off-the-shelf components either.
