I frequented Marshall's until the day it closed. It was opening and closing regularly as the owner was quite ill. It closed for the last time the day Larry Marshall the owner passed away, wonderful man may he rest in peace. One of the singers was a guy called Bobby, if anyone knows where he is playing now please let me know.
Many enjoyed Marshall's and sad to see it gone.
Nice Video! In my opinion Cebu night life especially the Mango Area is awful!
A couple of expat bars and hotel bars is about all there is.
I left Cebu at the end of 2013 and came back several years later. The years prior to that mango square was really really hopping. Wall to wall girls disco's, bars, places to eat you name it. Something happened and now only a shell of what it used to be. From what I hear the landlord that owns Mango Square for some reason through everybody out referring to the disco's and bars. Maybe one day it'll get better.
Yes, it is slowly changing again. The Social will be a unique addition to the area.
This is my third night back in Cebu and was just offered female company twice within 30 or 40 yards leaving LaLucha walking down J. Llorente towards my temporary hotel. You mentioning these “friendly and available women” is certainly timely for me haha…
LOL! Yes, lots of offers, just keep your valuables safe.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 amen to that
Nice video. I came and went back home. Plane flight kicked my ass. I like this area Rod. Would love a business class flight next time. Keep keeping on. See you on the next one.
Thanks Scot.
Just got to Cebu yesterday, looking for good condos and places to go!
CBP, Cebu Business Park where Ayala Mall is or IT Park are good places to start. I have a large playlist of condo videos.
Go to another country. This one is the worst in the region by far.
Before the pandemia the biggest "sport bar" along Mango avenue was named Semi-Final Sports Bar, owned by some Finnish guys. Not any more as closed due this "flue" for years already. I think you did made some video which showed this bar in 2th floor there.
You are correct Leo. Thanks.
Ahhh, my Filipina wife never told me about this entertainment area part of town..lol Am wondering what camera you are using for this video. Your camera takes a very good low light video, it looks like it is at sunset. Noticed a few Jeepneys did not notice the new buses. Will have to watch again and look to see if there are any. Maybe they only operated during the day. Thanks for the great video, Rod...Jim
LOL! Nothing like it was before 2018 Jim when there were many more bars along that stretch.
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome James.
Rod,great tour of Mongo S.and insite on the area thanks Bud.
Thanks 👍Edwin.
All bars and other entertainment establishments would rather do business in Mandaue or Lapulapu because the Cebu Anti Indecency Board is always breathing down their necks. Cebu also has a stricter liquor license.
Enjoy your walk.
Thanks Manuel.
Love Mango Square at night..
Lots of changes over the years Rick.
F'in awesome!
😳🙀😮
I heard you mention that you didn't point your camera over there, actually you really didn't point your camera most of the time at these businesses. Those of us watching your videos could use these businesses as points of reference to better navigate this street as we walk around.
Good point Robert. I made the video and later did the voice over. Will do better next time.
Ever been to Wisconsin Dells,Rod?
Yes, been there and done that Brent.
Mango Square is dead. The bargirls are pushing hard to get you to buy drinks but if you're looking for quick "hook-ups", forget about it. The City of Cebu has run out all of entertainment venues that many male visitors are looking for.
Mango Square has turned into a fast food area it seems Gary.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 At least you can get Burger King and All-you-can eat chicken wings 🙂
The food is poorly prepared at these American chains and the meat often tastes rotten and old. The simplest thaw and fry fast food is regularly f##### up here.
where does the ladyboys hang out at ??? are there any at ayala mall ?
I think they can be found everywhere.
