when will people realize that good players + good igl does not equal a good team. the players also need to have a similar/malleable view of the game. getting rid of aleksib benefitted both g2 and aleksi.
They needed to make Niko the IGL. It was a meme when Niko became an IGL on faze, but he’s demonstrated that he has the ability to call a good game with the help of analysts. It’s a much different time now, he’s had more experience and appreciation for strategy. I wish I could say they can win with hooxi but at this point I don’t know.
Lmao that is a single tournament and they were completely carried by monesy Idk why people really adamant about single tournament instead of bigger picture
@@bokonoo77Do you not know that NiKo has been IGL on MOUZ and FaZe? That's what OP is basing his opinion on, not IEM Dallas. Also, m0NESY played exactly the same at IEM Dallas as he did before Dallas. In fact, G2 as a team fragged worse. This is why people are so hopeful with NiKo as IGL. Because HooXi has ever only won when G2 as a team had 4 MVP-worthy players performing at the same time.
@@bokonoo77 NiKo has 5 trophies as IGL on faze, all of them tier 1 (because more than 90% of their opponents were tier one then, regardless of the format), he is more than an accomplished IGL at this point with 6 events under his belt, how many "tier 1" IGLs even have that?
G2 is a old team except m0nesy and after 1 or 2 years they have to replace hunter and hooxi. It not unrealistic that they remove hunter and replace him with Malbsmd
I feel like they intend to use him how hunteR used to use JACKZ on the T side. The upside now is, he will win more duels that will relieve the pressure off of hunteR. If it works out how I am thinking, this might just be what they need.

Idk to me it really feels like malbs is the replacement for hooxi, not nexa lmao. Then they get another solid anchor and have Niko IGL. Malbs will be a way better aggressive entry than hooxi, and will likely be more than adequate at filling hooxi's ct positions.
to be a professional analyst and develop an opinion about a player while not once mentioning or otherwise showing any signs of knowing that he takes 35% of opening duels is ridiculous to me that's more than HooXi does and 10% more than NiKo does who's one of the most opening prone players to watch just by raw eye test of course his game will oscillate when he's selflessly running in first more than one third of total rounds played, no matter the opposition
I think -nexa, +malbs, HooXi to nexa roles is the strategy. nexa's problem was the fact that he played the wrong roles for his player archetype. He needed to be more aggressive, but his role constrained him. He was stuck in limbo between huNter and HooXi. Him leaving benefits everyone, including himself. Meanwhile, if you want to keep HooXi, you need to make him not console kill himself every game and putting him on more support/anchor positions is how you do that. He isn't a good anchor, but you could make up for that with better rotations off malbs aggression. If HooXi leaves, get a jks and G2 is definitely in a better spot than before.
@@atzeON Nah, nexa isn't going to get better on this roster and even he knows that. I hate seeing people flame him for his performance, but that's all the more reason to get him off this team quickly before his stock tanks even further. s1n for HooXi is a pretty good one-to-one replacement individually, but that's not enough to get G2 into being a stable No. 1 team. They need to fix the role clash between huNter, HooXi/s1n, and nexa so one has to fully go which has to be nexa. Ideally, getting both s1n and malbs would've been great. malbs has some overlap with NiKo, but he can take key anchor positions that NiKo's been taking which didn't make sense or replace NiKo on risky aggro CT positions like Banana on Inferno so NiKo can float for more high percentage openings. s1n meanwhile becomes our new glue guy and malbs is our main entry fragger considering his ridiculous 37.7% opening attempt rate on T-sides. NiKo behind him as secondary while huNter takes more of NiKo's lurk roles so he can play pack as IGL.
