Moving slow is a good argument for not making clumsy mistakes. Thinking long on a how to solve a problem and not creating one, is a good politics.
I am a fit and active person that moves slowly because some things can’t be undone. We need a leader with care, consideration, and compassion, otherwise in a country this large and diverse it turns to chaos.
I am older now and just hiked 12 miles with my son. He said I am stronger but slower too.
@@EnergeticEmpatheticExhausted We don't have a candidate in either party who has care, consideration and compassion. One is trying hard to destroy domestic judicial institutions. The other is trying to destroy international humanitarian law.

Yeah, and it's apparently because he tried to rush himself off a broken foot. I dont know though , thats just something I heard. But the job of president is to make the population feel safe by protecting the institutions , governed by the rule of law that is in writing and doesnt change with the weather or the emotional state of the President.
Given that job description, which seems fairly simplistic and accurate to me, its a no brainer. The problem is that theres a huge consistuency of un-brained people.
The debate should go on anyway if Trump doesn't show up let Biden have the floor and the ability to answer the questions.
I don't think Trump would give up a chance to try to raise chaos and "try" to make an opponent look bad. I think he will show up, pitch a fit and then leave early in a huff. Now the second debate? That'll depend very much on just how much chaos he does pitch around and if he does leave early. He will likely find a reason to cancel.
Theres no way he will pass up what he sees as an hour and a half of free airtime, all press is good press in his head
Biden should say Trump isn't feeling well and that why he couldn't show up. or maybe the sharks got him.

When people tell me they arent involved in politics, I tell them politics is involved in every aspect of your life. As someone who has been active and involved in politics, Ive never seen more terrifying times in my 68 years.

I live in a rural area where there are many "Trump won, " "Trump the Sequel," signs etc., so I FEAR putting up a Biden/Harris lawn sign. We fly a flag and it took me some time to be comfortable with it.

It’s so sad and alarming that this presidential election is even up for debate. (No pun intended.) Everyone who isn’t a grifter, Christian nationalist, or alt-right, should be voting for Biden, even if he falls down and says nothing the whole time. Was worried by Lovett's about-to-puke expression in the thumbnail, but he was at his impish comedic best straight outta the gate with Favs following through as a humorouslessly exasperated older brother getting things back on track; and Tommy supplying the gravitas, becoming ever more the elder Statesman he was born to be. These boys have been one of the most salient and impactful legacies of the Obama administration - Will we see them back in the White House one day, I wonder? It's all very well writing a book on how to save democracy but we need them to walk the talk. Favs is the most naturally presidential, with a face as handsome as it is optimistic, and a flowing oratorical style that can be readily sdapted to more prosaic needs. Tommy is a natural Secretary of State. Lovett's anarchic sense humour is suitec to a maverick role, Chief of Staff perhaps, or an hilariously off-message press secretary, who puts the fun back into politics, but always finds the perfect phrase to match the truly important moments. The dream team. One day somebody will write a musical about them.
