- Ubisoft has come out and stated that gamers should get comfortable with not owning games, and Microsoft has cut staff that brings games to physical retail locations. Everything the industry does is pointing to the inevitability of a digital only subscription based world where nobody owns any of their video games.

WE SAY THE SAME IN THE GOLD AND SILVER MARKET. IF YOU DONT HOLD IT, YOU DONT OWN IT. HMMMMM.
What's going to happen when no one buys a digital a console or game ? the gaming corporations collapse.
It makes no sense buying physical since all the discs these days just download the game from online to your console and only act as a key. It is also a hassle if you play multiple games at the same time to put the disc in for every game. Anytime I delete a game, if there is DLC, I just redownload it, it takes 40 minutes tops and I can go back to it anytime without working about where I have the disc. The majority of the gaming public unlike you hardcore gaming dweebs don’t replay a video game unless it has MP, so it doesn’t make sense for them to have a physical copy. After they’re done with the game, they never go back to it. Also I love the fact that they are killing your hobby if your a collector or their making you paranoid if your some conspiracy theorist. The pain of your suffering brings me joy. 👍🏻
Thanks for the great video. We share the same view, so im gonna subscribe..👍
This craziness is WHY i'm retired from modern gaming.
Remember when they said digital was going to be cheaper then physical lol they even screwed us on that too. I think once this generation is done I'm going to peace out of "new" game's and focus on my back catalogue and my retro stuff.
All we can do is vote with our wallets, but sadly the younger generation just doesn't care.
I thought the same with ebooks when I bought my first Kindle many years ago. I forget what changed with the authors that made it so Amazon couldn't price ebooks at a fair price. I knew gsmes would turn out the same way eventually. I don't buy digital games unless they are under $15.
@@TechHarmonic Ya, I rarely buy new games for my pc. I'm still playing older games like Age of Empires franchise, Terraria, Rust, Civ 5 + 6, zuma, sims 4, Simity 2013. Some of the best I've played have been around the $10-$30 range.
The best game I bought recently is Satisfactory for $25.
I've also picked up Cyberpunk 2077 /w dlc for $60 since it got fixed with 2.0.
I picked the AC franchise for $100 + Far Cry franchise for $50 a couple month ago. I only had Nintendo systems growing up so I've been trying out games from other consoles I missed.

These goofy ass companies better get use to people emulating or pirating their games if there really going to go all digital because paying $60 to $70 bucks for a damn license that can be taken away whenever they want is not worth it. Something is going to have to give at this point.
That's exactly what Microshaft did with Shitblows since forever XD but they at least had a Physical Copy back then. Now they are trying to sell Patches because that's what turning everything into "Service" means 😂😂😂. People are just too Stupid to see it as it is.
@@thousandyoung they don’t sell “patches” or updates until after EOL strictly as an upkeep for businesses, they’re trying to sell you their specialized services as you partly mention so they can harvest more of your data that they then sell to advertisers. Windows 10 was when they realized no one consumer is gonna buy a license for Windows if it didn’t already come with their computers, hence why they pushed that upgrade for the first year of it existing. Windows 11 is more or less the same but with that modern 2020s neuomorphic style that macOS first popularized with Big Sur during its own rebrand from Mac OS X, the people who think it’s somehow worse than 10 are just being ridiculous
Or get a ps2 with a huge library, or many other amazing consoles and libraries that exist
A man brother
please keep talking about it. it creates awareness. i own a video game store and have seen a huge explosion in business the last 5 years. people are waking up to digital only scams.
The last year I’ve been scrambling to buy older video games and older consoles because I’ve lost trust in the digital market.
SMART! My GameCube games have skyrocketed in value.
Same! Currently snapping up 360, PS3 and PS4 games and of time/availability XBone.
I’m thinking similar. I want no part of this hideous digital only future.
They should just call it what it is: a home arcade that you keep popping quarters in for services without owning the arcade.
Bingo
The silver lining is that by the time this all fully comes to pass, there will be a back catalogue of games that you could happily play for the rest of your lifetime, and we will be able to just ignore the manipulative future if we so choose. So at least there's that.
Modern games don’t draw me in anymore so this doesn’t affect me, however I feel bad for the current generation when they reach their 30’s wanting to play a game from their youth but can’t because it was digital-only & no longer exists
Let’s hope emulation and hacking can keep up! PS5 has already been “jailbroken” so there’s hope
It feels like they mostly stopped making good games after 2018 or so
I haven't played Palworld. It's probably Good, but I don't like survival games. So much to think about, it's almost like a job xD
@@slamislife74 I've been feeling this way since 2014. I dodged pretty much every game that has came out in the past 10 years that's had issues.
There are a lot of new games that interest me, but then I find out something online about it that I won't like and I refuse to buy it. I've mainly been finding myself playing games like Satisfactory & Railway Empires 2 these days. Cyberpunk 2077 was something I was hyped for, but found out it was buggy mess so I never bought it until they came out with 2.0 patch where it fixed the game + picked up the dlc.
I just picked up Horizon Zero Dawn, Far Cry series, Assassin's Creed Series, Ghost Runner 1+2, & Hogwarts Legacy on steam. Looking forward to trying out all the games as I haven't played them yet.
Most people don’t care if they lose their digital games years down the line. They move on and happy.

Well then l think Ubisoft better get comfortable with losing our business.
Agreed haha
Glad I own about 150 physical games on my PS3, PS4, and PS5. I also own about 200 Blu-Ray and DVD films that I can watch whenever my mood kicks in to watch them. Lack of ownership of media is definitely one of the worst parts about digital-only. Another huge disadvantage in the long-term is having spent so much money to keep the home wifi active through the internet service provider and having dedicated so much money to movie, TV, and gaming streaming services. From paying for home internet and streaming services on an annual basis, this can possibly come up to charging some people close to or more than $1,000 per year when you do the math. Just the approximate number of $1,000 spent on the internet and services alone can be redirected to buying maybe 12 - 15 brand-new PS5 or Xbox games or even more games if you buy them pre-owned. To me, it's just a lot of unnecessary money being spent just to enjoy the basic function of the hardware of computers today.
The main problem I have with digital aside from preservation is that a collection of computer data that can't be resold simply isn't worth $60-70 to me. A license to play a game, as the pro-digital crowd likes to put it, is worth far less to me than a physical game that holds real world value and can be re-sold in the future.
Agreed. Once you’ve bought a digital game, it has now become worthless. Whereas my GameCube games have actually gone up in value.

Yea, most of my predictions for the past 15 years have pretty much come true now. Not that it did benefit me in the slightest, the opposite in fact.
The problem with society is that companies need endless sales and growth. I see this problem everywhere, there are many things in life that people value highly, and also companies, yet is neglected because it doesn't bring in any money.
Game preservation is one example. Im sure many companies would like to preserve their games, but due to profit reasons they choose not to and would rather make them impossible to play on. No company is going to start a business to preserve old games because it's not profitable and probably legally problematic so you end up with something many people want that never becomes reality.
It's the same with preserving history or historic monuments for example. It's more profitable to just ruin them and build some apartment complex there instead, but it just makes the world even more soulless than it already is. We need a new economic system that rewards preservation and the like imo.
Conspiracy theorist or cooker. The 2 main words leffards come up with when they don't have a logical response.
The only way to fight this is to not buy the consoles. I have already decided that I will never buy another new console. The video game industry is just asking for another crash...
It’s the convenience or lack there of. The majority doesn’t care about preservation and all…until they realize they goofed.
Everyone loves convenience until they realized what they sacrificed for it
Starting a ps2 collection with how many incredible games exist on the platform is the way to go imo
I have/had a large collection of PS2 and Xbox games. Sadly i noticed a lot of them actually collected disc rot. I keep my games in cases, i was shocked to see a good amount of my discs randomly in this state. And there are some discs in my collection that look fine but just won't read. I hope you don't run into this.
I saw this "all digital future" coming from a mile away. Which is why PS4 will be the last console I'll ever own. All these digital games, subscription services, dlc, microtransactions, etc only benefit the gaming companies not the consumers. Sony especially as of late has been very anti consumer yet PS5 consoles still fly off the shelves. They want you to own nothing because it's cheaper and more profitable for THEM. NOT YOU.
Hopefully people wake up before it’s too late, but you’re right, the PS5 selling as well as it does isn’t helping.
I saw this "all digital future" decades ago. I am a console gamer but all you have to do is look at PC gaming. Consoles were getting closer and closer to PC gaming, it would only take time... i could see this back with my PS2.
I just got my ps4 I’m glad I did that lol haha ps5 being the best right yeah good luck with that 😅
Unfortunately there's nothing we can do. The younger generation of gamers are already used to most of their games being digital so it's only a matter of time. I'd give it maybe 5 years. I mean even now, even if you buy a physical copy of a game you still need some kind of internet connection to download/install the game to play it. All you're basically doing when you buy physical now days is just buying a key to play the game.
Ya I think that's why most people just given up on owning anything on the newest generation, because you still need to download, install, update, & that's if it doesn't require an update as well especially for consoles. It's like you're damned if you do damned if you don't. I figured if that's the way it's gonna be for consoles I might as well just buy it digitally on pc and not have to worry about backwards compatibility... if there was a physical option for pc I would buy it, but even pc games 10-14 years ago were code based and the disc became useless.
The only console I bother buying physical for is the switch even if it's available for pc like square enix titles mainly.
Yes you can do something about it. Support companies that allow you to have physical media.
@@rodseller9936Is this message for me or the guy above?
This isn't true. Most PS5 games still have the full game on the disc. They are also safe to buy since Sony already said they fixed the CMOS battery issue.
It's Microsoft who isn't putting full games on disc and has done nothing about their CMOS battery issue
@@damonke79 your info is faulty, 99percent new games( no matter the console) require day 1 patch with from at least 2GB to even more than 75GB, which in turn requires connection. This WILL eventually be tempered with (e.g. halted) and thus rendering your PS4/5 games unplayable, at the very least when SONY/MICROSOFT/NINTENDO inevitably cuts online life support for ps4/5 generation 10 to 15 years from now .Please realize that without this patch YOU CANNOT PLAY ANY GAME NOW! Thus this generation is already compromised and cannot be saved.
It is so sad to see. The only thing that really matters in the industry is dollars. They don't want you to buy a game for $29.99 and play it as much you want, they want you spend $9.99/month indefinitely to play the game. I'm predicting subscriptions will get more and more expensive as the other options shrink.
That’s exactly what will happen
The negative effect for these companies are a LOT of people are opting out. Most people my age (40) will stick with 7th gen on back forever. Even younger people are going Retro only. So while the customer base shrinks they’ll inevitably have to charge MORE from those that remain. Which in turn will get more people to jump ship and so on.
"Those that remain" are legion unfortunately.
Im getting more comfortable not paying for any ubisoft games.
This is the way
😆😂🤣 that sounds like a fantastic option by making Ubisoft irrelevant.
These days even owning the game physically isnt a guarantee of longevity, what with Day 0 patches, parts of the games needing to be downloaded (looking at you Switch carts), and cases with download codes in them.
Okey 2 things,
1- physical copies of ganes today are just expensive coasters. You dont own anything of that disc, all it is is access to the store version of said game.
2 digital copies are to put simply are timed rentals without the late fee.
Most physical copies are the game, but yes, you’re right, there are definitely some that are essentially plastic CD keys
I am a video game collector. I have consoles as far back as the Odyssey 2, with physical games aplenty.

One other reason why companies love subscription services is that it allows them to easily become their own distributor and now they can keep even more of the revenue. But when they cut out the middle man like that, now there's no need for the who manufacture the discs in factories or work in the warehouses that stock the games or work at the physical storefront that sells them. I understood that paying 80bucks for a disc because there's materials people and logistics involved in getting it on the shelves, but an 80 buck download?
I agree with you Fanta, I have an Xbox and gamepass as of last September. I only buy physical games for my switch and every system before. Gamepass is a great value, and I don’t have any other game or video subscriptions. Yes, digital ownership is bs, I recall as a kid, being able to buy/sell, trade or rent games from friends or neighbors.
One thing you said about games costing a lot is ridiculous. Inflation has not hit video games. I remember NES games being like $70 many years ago at toys-r-us. I know they slowed prices to $40 for many PlayStation 1 games. Even just considering prices going from $40/50 to $60/70 over 20 years is still no where near what inflation adds up to.
In my math, what I made working minimum at GameStop in 2003 is 2.5 times x what minimum is now, so those $40/50 games should be $100-125, right? I don’t like to pay a lot for games, but look at car and house prices nowadays, those two entities kept up with inflation and cars well even worse.
The inflation argument is propaganda the industry has continued to spin up whenever they want to defend $70 games. Video games haven’t been $60 since the advent of DLC. Don’t let them fool you, the price of a complete game has gone up a lot, just look at how much the “ultimate” version of Far Cry is and that should get you in the ballpark of what games actually cost.
Even then, the standard price of a game was chosen to just give companies a baseline of what for expect for profit. It was all pretty arbitrary.
I could go on, but don’t let them fool you. They aren’t losing money. Games are still the most profitable thing in the entertainment industry.
Im so glad I'm only into retro gaming. Its a shame what's happening with physical media. I'm too old to change but a lot of younger gamers are gonna miss out on the oddly enjoyable culture of collecting. But the way the companies are reacting to fans and collector's disappointment with this change is borderline arrogant and elitist.
I'm not crazy about physical media because whether we like it or not it's inherently flawed. Discs wearing out, getting scratched, breaking, or just refusing to work for whatever reason. With digital, as long as you have them saved to a drive and make at least one backup for them and your drive is never lost, broken, or corrupted then that actually will last forever.
This is why game preservation is done mainly through roms, your SNES cartridges are going to die out, your discs will stop working, but ROMs don't have that problem.
So I'm all for owning what you buy but physical media just isn't worth it to me. If you're nostalgic for it or if that's just your preference that's cool, but it's not mine.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me!
That Boobiesoft executive who blatantly said that consumers cannot own their purchases is a clear indication not to support their company. If people are smarter, they would immediately boycott their products. I myself haven't purchased that new Prince of Persia. I know it doesn't mean a thing, it's just a personal stand.
And if at some point the digital game media fully takes over, I will completely stop buying new games and happily retire from modern gaming altogether.
Always when physical is eliminated is a certainty that all things created will disappear in time where in we will forget that it was discovered and created.
I think it's wrong to single out Xbox as the only company being guilty of this. They all do similar things. Hell Sony recently claimed that it was illegal to resell physical copies of games. And Nintendo is just as ruthless considering their recent closing of digital storefronts.
I’m not really singling out Xbox, I mention that all companies are guilty of this. I just mention Xbox first since they laid off people recently involved in physical copies. They are definitely not our friends and all out to get our wallets.
That's been there since 2014. And the CEO at that time said, its fine to trade or re-sell games.
They never bothered to update the TOS.
Sounds like GOLD AND SILVER. WE SAY IF YOU DONT HOLD IT, YOU DONT OWN IT.
Digital copies of anything are simply put as just a timed rental.
Physical media is not going anywhere if Microsoft does that it’s just going to stirre up a lot of backlash towards Microsoft and they will lose a lot of money if they stopped making physical games not just Microsoft but also Sony and Nintendo would lose money if they got rid of physical games, this is just what I had to say I’m not mad or anything sorry if my comment sounded like I was mad or something.
For streaming services all I can afford is Netflix right now. After Disney went up I cancelled. I kept all my old consuls and used them during Covid. Now seeing what going to happen. Am holding on to those old games so I don’t go broke in the future.
THese companies have saved me tons of money seeing companies close online store fronts removing access to tons of games. This situation got me to look into emulation on my PC the last new system I purchased was PS4. If I dont wn my purchases why spend the money
The silver lining here is that their costs are enormous to implement these all-digital cloud-based schemes.
It takes them years and billions to build the server farms, develop the software, etc. All that customers have to do is politely decline to sign on, and these corpos will quickly realise they're massively out-leveraged by customers who simply have to sit on their hands for a year or two until the operating capital dries up and the debt monster eats the corpos alive.
So yeah, anytime Microsoft is ready to fully F around, I'll just play my backlog while they find out. Ain't even mad.

Both the Xbox One and PS4 started this trend of user unfriendliness and now, when we’re only just a month into 2024, the shit is hitting the fan and I’m seriously considering trading in my Series X! Ubisoft and EA are SCUM! To see most consumers STILL buying into Game Pass, EA plus or whatever, it’s sickening! To see kids these days ONLY want to play Fortnite causes me to worry that today’s kids are growing up without standards! My brother thinks streaming is now the ONLY way to consume entertainment. When I walked in on him and his daughter watching Paw Patrol The Movie on Netflix recently, I pointed him to where he can buy it on Blu Ray. His response? “No need, we have it on Netflix”, completely ignorant that it can be taken off anytime! He does own The Batman as an Amazon download, but he is completely unaware that can be taken away from him sometime in the future! I really hate how the internet is becoming more and more of a requirement to do ANYTHING in life! The PS4 and Xbox One era were so bad (this was before Nintendo even announced the Switch) that I REALLY wanted, and STILL want, Sega to make a new console that (for the VERY most part) goes back to basics! You’d still be able to create an account, go online etc, but you wouldn’t need to just to use the console! You’d just have to turn it on, pop in a game or DVD Video and you’re good to go! I REALLY FUCKING MISS the days when gadgets were easier to setup! I am sick of being told the better stuff is “old technology”, I honestly want to be part of the fight to put things right! I hope we can soon make Ubisoft less relevant than Acclaim and Fortnite less relevant than City of Heroes! Fortnite is so bad, it makes Superman 64 look like Metal Gear Solid!
Places like Gamestop have made this process go way faster than it needed to be.
Not even by depending on the used market, but the terrible experience people have in their stores.
True true. Terrible experiences will lead people to not shop there, and that amount of people has only risen.
I've bought like 15 new physical releases on Series X just in the past couple months. Not my fucking fault. Don't ever buy a digital game if there is a physical option. I'm waiting on my Baulders Gate 3 to ship too. Alan Wake 2 I have boycotted have some discipline for a good cause punks.
Sad to see this happen to us gamers. I bought a 4tb external hard drive for my PS4 . I have a 124 games
This is on the shoulders of the corps, and everyone who ever bitched about things they dont like about games yet bought them anyway. Your word means nothing and these companies know it. Youll still buy after it goes digital. This is on everyone.
I mean once you’re squeezed into scenario with no choice, I can’t blame people too much for still wanting to play video games. I can, however, blame people that go out of their way to evangelize digital games and attack physical media.
Facts. 99% of these people who claim ‘I’m out once physical goes away’ will not in fact be out.
If people are still listening to a word from Ubisoft, well, they're part of the problem.
With most physical games for a long ass time not even having the whole game on the disc, physical games have been all but dead for a long time anyway.
Honestly, personally I'm disconnected from the whole thing. If I actually want a game I'll buy it on Steam and also download a cracked copy so I can always play it under any circumstance.
That's what I've done for years because I've seen this coming for over a decade.
This is part of the reason why I am glad I am 38 which means I lived through the best generations of gaming ever! It also means that I don’t mind if the only games I get to play from now until the day I leave this world or the games I acquired during the PS4 and Xbox, one generation, and everything prior to it!!
I’m still playing the Witcher three, which I have four copies of, two on my PS4, and two on my Xbox, one just for the purpose of going through and beating it, and unlocking the achievements/trophies again, because they are separate across the versions which I can’t believe More games don’t do? All these companies are all about profit, you got a lot of out there were the trophy list will be the same for one game and three different versions of it like dragons crown where the trophies for the PS3, the PS4 and the PS Vita are all the same whereas if they were smart, they would’ve made it to where each games trophies are separate!! All Microsoft games do this!
Either way, I’ve spent more money on stuff from 10 years ago or more in the past few years than I have spent anything on anything new?!? The last three new games I purchased were the Witcher three wild hunt, fallout four, red dead redemption, two and cyberpunk 2077 and snow runner… I’ve purchased a lot of games on sale though, but those were the games I bought at launch.
I quit worrying about buying new games a few months after this current generation started…
I kept trying so hard to get a PS five and an Xbox series X each month that they were sold out and now you can find PS fives here and there and series pretty much just about anywhere?
We’re already over three years into this generation and nothing that major has happened in terms of the quality of games, I’m completely fine playing all the stuff accumulated on PS4 Pro and Xbox one as well as all the different games I have going backwards to the 90s which if you ask me was the best time aside from the Witcher and games like red dead redemption two anyways !?
They're also getting rid of physical media because they are phasing out game consoles. I recently saw a video here on YT that talked about this very plan.
I doubt they’ll phase out consoles. That’s how they lock you into their ecosystem. Systems that take discs could be phased out though.
I am subscribed to many online gaming services, but I still buy all of the physical games for the exact reasons you are stating in the future of games do not have a physical release. I will find a way legal or not.
This generation of media in general Tv shows movies and games arent going to be well preserved in 20 years alot of that stuff wont be around.
As a PC primary gamer who does own a series x, I rarely turn on my xbox. But at the same time, I can't remember the last time I owned a PC w/ a disc drive. Hardly anyone builds a PC w/ a dd anymore and if you look a prebuilts, they dont come w/ dd's. PC has been in the digital realm for quite awhile now because of steam. At least w/ steam you have a digital library. These sub services run the risk of losing games from licensing
Hell, most cases don’t even have a slot to put a disc drive, if you want to have a disc drive, you gotta seek it out specifically.
@@Khloya69 right you are Ken! If you know the reference, you know.
Nowadays, you have to purchase a separate external disc drive (like the one I own which connects to my laptop via USB).
I'm not interested at all in digital products. Not one pixel. Not one line of code.
I'll play what I have until my consoles melt down, and then I'll go back to reading real paper-and-ink books.
2:05 lol I like what you did there about roms. Anyway I do believe the goal of these companies is to create a subscription service for all BC games. In their eyes it’s easy revenue coupled with no longer having to manufacture physicals. This has always been the endgame after ps3 and Xbox 360 ended their run.
That’s one reason why I don’t get a pc. I don’t like the idea of not having a physical copy of the game. It’s annoying that consoles are now switching to digital only consoles.
I definitely get that and buy lots of games on console just to get a physical copy, but in the future, the PC will be the only way to guarantee you at least own the digital copy.
@@FANTAVISIONguess it’s time I start saving for a pc I’m gonna even talk my parents into letting me get my pc
Guess ill go be a pirate
At some point, that’ll be the only option
Imagine paying for a mere license to access to a game that could be taken away or whose servers could be shut down at any moment instead of owning it. This post was made by physical gang.
I’m 💯 team physical.. same with movies. I’m starting to buy blu rays cuz all these streaming bs services.
Digital games are just you buying a license to play the game. You don’t actually own anything.
Ha ha. Blu rays are being discontinued in major retailers. Most of the public doesn’t care for them.
@@user-zh5lj1ec4k Until they lose access to their favorite movies, show's or even games. Then they're like...what happen to my purchases?
@@DeadPhoenix86DP keep crying your conspiracy tales. Your paranoia brings me joy.
@@user-zh5lj1ec4k Don't say i didn't warn you.
The companies only care about making as much money as possible and securing that income stream, and the customers only care about convienence and instant gratification. Its a symbiotic realtionship that only gets worse. Best thing you can do is to get physical copies of the stuff you like, players for them and keep them maintained so they keep working.
At least with films and shows new ones could still be pressed to disc and played on old DVD/Bluray/4K players, with games however there will be a point where new games won't work on old consoles. PC is a bit different with changeable/upgradeable parts, but there will still be a limit and who even releases physical PC games anymore anyway?
Your youtube video is spot on in the way gameplay is going. Your video needs to be shown to the 3 main console players so they get to know what destruction they will cause. Gameplay will shrink as game companies have you pay more.
I wish they cared. I feel like if you showed them this video they’d revel in the fact that they’ll have complete control even if it’s only a brief time before the market collapses under their greed.
Before media recording devices/videogame consoles:
You had to go to an arcade to play games,
go the movies to see a film or catch a tv show WHEN it aired,
to hear a song you needed a radio.
We didn't always own media, that's a fairly recent privilege, I'm old enough to remember all of the above,
It just sucks that we are going backwards. That's what gets me.
This honestly could push more people to go to PC, if there is no reason to buy a game console when everything is eventually digital!
If paying for a copy of content, be it game, movie, music or whatever doesn't mean i own said copy, then pirating said content isn't stealing it, nobody will ever pay a single dime again and those greedy ass companies can choke to bakrupcy on their greed.
I agree. If there’s no legal way of owning it, then pirating isn’t unethical.
When that happens, that is my time to quit gaming and never come back i’m not giving up on it entirely but it’s very clear this era of gaming that I’ve been a part of what’s left of that era is coming to an end and very clearly what’s coming and if I want to at least keep going and not give up On the owning thing that’s been keeping me together I need to move on that’s why I’m gonna get gaming PC will be my last ditch effort to stay in control, and if that all falls apart, I’ll just quit altogether because I refuse to be controlled by these bastards I will remain a rebel till the end
it dosent really affect me as i prefer gen 6 consoles. but this still makes me mad... i have a backlog of physical copies that can probably last the rest of my life so, ill just say f*** ubisoft and any other developers thinkng this way. phyisical or pirate, thems my terms.
Only way to get their attention is to hit their bottom line
their is no way that gamepass is profitable. they only state that as a whole xbox is profitable but they cant say that gamepass is profitable. the only streaming service they is profitable is netflix currently.
If you are a gamer you have no problem keeping your old console and games I don’t know what your complaint about this is, on the going digital at least Nintendo and Sony won’t do that because Sony owns blue ray and they make millions of that
It is scary how quickly this worked, the fact that digital & physical are the same price and they still pulled it off shows the weak mentality in society. Stop buying games the first day it comes out as well! Watch how quickly things will improve if that happens. I haven't brought a console new since my PS3 slim, my PS4 is 2nd hand and I'll buy a PS5 off Marketplace when the PS6 comes out, not like I actually have missed out on any games this generation. It's time for gamers to put their foot down
Right?? I don’t get why there aren’t more people bringing this up and refusing to pay the same amount for less.
No company cares so until customers tell companies they don't care for what the crap subscriptions and we won't buy anymore, then and only then will they say please come back.
Hopefully enough people will actually stop buying their crap
Gamers beat the NFT push, maybe there's hope we can stop this too. All digital removes the ability to resell your games taking away the investment value of owning them. We lose on every level with digital only.
If NFTs were in COD, they would have been successful, and the games industry would be even worse. We just got lucky they only put it in shit games like Ghost Recon.
Most gamers support digital, the death of physical is inevitable, and physical will not be missed.
@@Khloya69 No they don't. They will realize what they've lost once their digital license goes away or they're forced to pay monthly to access games they could have owned outright.
@@silversobe yes we do. Cope harder.
@@Khloya69 Why are you so eager to defend losing rights to your own games? You can already buy digital versions. A physical option should remain. Makes no sense to root for digital only.
THE SAME THING WITH CASH. THE YOUNGER GENERATION USES CARDS. ONCE CASH IS GONE THEY WILL OWN YOU AS WELL. WAKE UP !!!!!!!!!
That’s a bit different. Cash is mostly digital nowadays, but money is money. Its value doesn’t change whether it’s physical or digital.
@@FANTAVISION it's who.contols it. Cash you can buy and sell at will. With digital the government could control what they may or may not approve your transaction. Lets say your overweight. The government could say you can only have so much food. We the people need to stay in control, not let the other side dictate what we do or don't do. Have a good day.
I loved the wal- mart employee videos a few years back. I was a overnight support. Then was promoted to assistant mgr. You know the game. Spent more time coaching employees have sex in the parking lot with each other. They had kids with each other. Total chaos. D- DAY had a whole new meaning. Do you think that somehow, later on, people will band together to create a successful console that runs disks? Assuming physical games are completely phased out.
Limited Run and plenty of other companies have been created due to the demand of people wanting physical games. An entirely new console for that though, I’m not sure.
Good thing is games are so bad nowadays it s not even worth it. Just play old games and be happy 😊
Gotta start playing indie games man! They’re better than ever!
@@FANTAVISION Ah, of course, I was talking about AAA. Indies are the goat.
Not owning games put them out of business I will never play a live game like dissidia final fantasy ever again they shut it down before you have time for it
Nintendo doesn't even have reliable voice chat yet, so we should be safe for at least another 10 to 20 yrs before they finally catch up
